Fortunately the store also offers doll repairs and restoration. This is a huge blessing because I thought I would have to send my Cabbage Patch doll through the mail to get her repaired and I was terrified that she would get lost. But I knew Renee would take great care of her. I entertained my nieces with this doll over the years and her eyes had become very worn. Her eyes open and close and rock back and forth, and would not stay still long enough for me to touch them up myself, not that I had any confidence that I could do a decent job. But Renee was able to do the impossible. The doll's eyes look as good as new.. I have attached before and after pictures to this review. When Renee brought the doll out to show me I could not believe what a good job she did. I also bought this adorable "skin suit" which the doll can wear under her outfits to help protect her from getting dirty. I will definitely tell everybody I know about this store.

What caught my eye first was the beautiful assortment of colorful summer dresses. These dresses as well as the layout and the design of the store are very reminiscent of Lilly Pulitzer. FYI this is only a review concerning the watch repair services available…read more I brought in a vintage Omega Seamaster De Ville that I was told could be serviced without issue. It was running quite fast at the time. Upon receiving the watch back, it is keeping time much more accurately, however the crystal had been scratched significantly. I was assured by the store that the watch maker is a professional and that this could never have occurred in his care. He said it was likely because the watch was cleaned that I could see the scratches on the crystal more clearly -- the only thing that was clear is that this was a load of malarkey. I have an excellent memory and I would have noticed if there was even one new scratch. There were so many scratches (superficial/deep, small and large) that it did not even require a second's thought to realize it had been damaged. It looked like it had been mailed by a bear. The gentleman offered to try and buff it out, this did not help. To give you some background the Omega Seamaster De Ville has a monocoque case. This should only be opened by professionals, who will not damage the crystal or case (typically with a crystal lift). Unfortunately, the crystal on the watch looks like it has been through the zombie apocalypse. To spend $200 on a service to have the movement function, but the crystal damaged is not ideal. I would recommend finding a watchmaker on AWCI who is more qualified for any of your vintage watch needs. Also, on a complete side note, the bracelet was placed in the wrong orientation so that the clasp opened on the wrong end. I fixed it myself, but that is literally something that should not happen in the hands of a competent watch maker.

The Pink House's proper name is Diva USA. This is a fashion and accessory boutique for women. The owner and designer was in the store. Her name is Brenda Quin, a South African fashion designer, with an impressive resume. She's dressed beauty contestants across the world. Her colorful and bold prints are prominent across the store. Theres also candles and other items made by local small businesses. While most of the items aren't my style, I appreciate that the designer came all the way from South Africa to present her unique pieces. I wish her all the success with her brand and store, Diva USA.
