The folks at Ray's were completely polite and knowledgeable. The convertible top to my Audi was stuck in the open position. They were able to stow it in the closed position so that I could take it to the dealer where I had the same thing repaired a few months ago. It took a little while to get an appointment but as a first time customer I'm sure that is because they are popular and do great work. I'll be going back with any future car concerns. read more

do not call service! Apparently the driver seemed to think that they are judging jury and if they think you have been drinking, they will call the cops on you even if not driving the car. Which resulted in a $2500 bill to prove that. read more

Great service and a pleasure dealing with Ray's towing service. Was in a difficult situation and needed a piece of equipment towed more than 40 miles away at the last moment. Trustworthy!! They did a great job taking care of my car!! The story, I had my my car towed by Ray's twice to the dealership . They work with AAA. Both times he was able to drive me back to my street!! Has anyone ever had a car breakdown and have the tow driver drop you off after ? He said he his next tow was very close by. After the second tow back to the dealership (for the same problem) he said "try his place". I asked around to find out a few friends use Ray's. I had Rays redo, replace, and checkover everything I spent thousands at the dealership. Not only was the price a third of what I spent before, but they did a Amazing job! Ray helped my daughter out in a pinch. Made a terrible day much better with their approach and willingness to help out a college student. While they didn't do the work (ended up as a warranty fix) the staff helped her and made sure she didn't get ripped off and helped get her car to the dealer to be fixed. read more

I don't review much, but felt that I had to after my experience at Ray's. While driving home in a downpour from Newport, RI to Quincy, MA, my windshield wipers randomly stopped working. I made my way to the nearest auto shop with my head hanging outside of the driver's side window just to see and without any appointment. Jon, seeing my desperation, calmed me first and then immediately checked to see if a burnt out fuse was the culprit. Unfortunately for me, it was not. Jon quickly ordered the part I needed, fixed the vehicle in a timely fashion, and contacted me right away when the job was completed. I don't trust a buisness that will lie, cheat and steal from disabled combat veterans. I needed oil and fuel leak repairs on my dad's old truck that he gave me years ago, one of the few things I have left to remember my father by. I wasnt in any rush so told them to take a look and let me know how much it'll cost. Little knowing I would never hear from them again. I called them back a month down the road and asked if they had a chance to look at it yet. I was told I would get a call back the next day and never heard from them. Called again a couple weeks later and asked if they still had my truck, they checked and said it was still here and that I'd get a call soon as they looked at it. Again never heard back from them. They had both my phone numbers, my email and my home address and I never received so much as a voicemail. I even looked back over my received and missed call lists for both numbers and there number was no where to be found except when I called them. I wouldve repaired the truck myself as I was a mechanic for 24 years in the military, but I injured my back in Iraq and wasn't up to the challenge. So I figured its time to let someone else fix things for me. Now I'm out a truck, a ton of great memories, all my important items I had stored in the truck and now every time I see a tow truck or something to remind me of my dads old truck and all the back breaking work I put into it over the years to keep it on the road, I get a god awful sinking feeling in my stomach and the rest of my day is ruined. I know there policy on items left in your vehicle, but does that also cover stealing the actual entire truck. I imagine they either damaged it somehow and didnt want to fix it themselves or there just that unreliable or they fixed it up themselves for a relative or friend or just parted it out. Really pisses me off to no end, criminals like these people. You want to thank a Veteran, give me my damn truck back! read more

Took these guys 3 weeks and 120$ more than quoted to fix my car. When I got it back, it was barely passable as "fixed". Called back to see if they could fix the problems they created, and they gave me a week long wait before my car could be seen. I wash my hands of this. These guys are nice, but not worth my money or my time. I regret having brought my car here. read more
