Saw that my swaybar bushing was broken went in for repairs they called said that I also needed a new sway bar...I paid over 1k and something didn't sit right so i looked under vehicle on my way home and it was the SAME RUSTY SWAY BAR!!!! I called same day and asked if they had my old part they said no they scrapped it... I left it at that as a lesson learned! Sad because I always tipped after every service and gave gift cards for restaurants only to be ripped off! read more

I had an oil change done here and shortly afterward my engine failed. When the vehicle was inspected, I was told there was little to no oil in the engine. During the service, I already felt uneasy because the technician seemed inexperienced and unsure of what he was doing. Unfortunately, that concern turned into a very expensive repair and an extremely stressful situation. Based on my experience, I would not return. read more

Took my 2016 Subaru Legacy in for an inspection and was told I needed almost $2,000 in unnecessary repairs just to get a sticker. Thankfully, I checked with a trusted mechanic who confirmed they were trying to scam me. I brought my car to another shop instead--inspection passed with no issues for just $55. brought car in before driving to Florida to make sure we were in good shape. they replace ball joints and other items they recommended. $1700 in work . when we went to pay refused to accept credit card so cash only. should let customers know before hand you would think. after our first day on the road it was raining but steering seemed loose. had it looked at and the front 2 tires were shot and alignment had to be fixed. all I can say is wtf. used them for 3 years done with them read more

I came into B&C in a pinch after driving from NJ. I needed them to check out a funny noise and within 10 minutes my car was up on a lift and two mechanics were looking at it. My husband and I are new to town. My brother in law is a mechanic at a well respected, private shop in CO. I was not excited to find a new local mechanic. I called B&C Auto after reading some reviews. I needed to get a used car I was purchasing checked out. I spoke with Bill. He fit me in that same afternoon. I got to the shop and waited while they looked at my car. Bill was very friendly and so were all of the other guys. While I was there, I also made an appointment for my husband who needed an oil change and a wheel checked from hitting a pothole. When they were finished checking out my car, I went up to pay and Bill told me "not to worry about it and to come get an oil change when I need one". I will definitely be doing that and am quite happy to have found such a great shop that doesn't take advantage of us newbies in town. read more

Finding a mechanic that you can trust is a huge achievement, but they are oh so much more. They always do great work in a timely manner for a very good price. The people here from the front desk to the service department are friendly, accommodating and helpful. I had gone to another auto shop, car dealer shop, shame on me, and they tried to tell me I needed all new brakes, pads and such. I decided to go to B&C Auto and they inspected the car and advised I only needed back brake pads and they fixed the car and did not try to take advantage and up sell. This business came recommended by a friend. New to the area; finding a reputable mechanic can be hazardous. Honesty and reliability are the top 2 reasons for any business and when it comes to my need to rely on someone else for my transportation, the 2 most important things. Following that are cost and friendliness. So far I have found all here. For,some reason mechanics can be forbiddingly noncommunicative. Not so here. I had my truck towed to B&C Auto after a blown brake line on the road and I have to say it's my first and last time that will ever bring my vehicle there. Initially, they were very prompt in getting the job done and I was very satisfied to get my truck back that same day. However, later that day I noticed they had charged me for four brake lines instead of one after reviewing the invoice. By my own mistake, I never checked the invoice and just paid in a hurry to get back to work. I wound up calling them about this and they tried justifying this by saying that each brake line is a foot long so 4 ft were required to run a line from the right wheel to the master cylinder.. I've had brake lines fixed before and had never been charged for brake lines in this manner. My complaint was to no avail and they told me there was nothing they could do because that's how they charge for a brake line replacement. I took the liberty to check and replace the remaining brake lines myself later in the week. In doing so I discovered that they had left the old brake line still dangling in and around the engine. I also discovered that the new line that was installed was coiled up 8 times with extra line before it connected to the master cylinder. So this is very apparent as to where the 3 extra brake lines were applied to the invoice. A $250 brake line job for one wheel?! I spent a whopping $80 to replace the remaining brake lines myself, which included purchasing tools to do the job, and each line ran from $11-$15 while I was charged nearly$60 for one brake line plus labor. Doesn't make sense and please avoid getting work done here if you value the hard earned money you work for and your vehicle. I do not recommend this auto repair business to anyone. Left my vehicle three times to have a squeal fixed. Still have the problem. I had a turn signal replaced , a few months later my headlight turn off when turn signal switch is used. Mechanics are nice enough but the receptionist is difficult to deal with, scheduling an appointment always seems to be like pulling teeth. Rates would be considered reasonable to moderately high, if they actually fixed the problems. read more

Brought my vehicle there for a state inspection based on high recommendations from coworkers. Specifically requested upgraded replacement bushing parts but they installed 2 different kinds of parts and refused to replace them with matched parts. I had to supply my own parts to get what I wanted. B&C refused to give me a credit for the wrong parts because "there was nothing wrong with them." And that was after I got the parts supplier (NAPA) to agree to a parts refund! What they did was equivalent to installing a regular shock on one side and a gas shock on the other, or mixing spark plug types. They also grossly overcharged for the parts, charging about $10 each for grade 5 bolts used to replace rivits they drilled out; should have used at least grade 7. Patronized B&C for years, but after this it has me wondering what kind/quality parts they used.They seem to have decent mechanics and it's nice to see thay have "minority" employees, but after this think they are a ripoff for parts prices and a hourly labor rate that's no better than a dealer. Their refusal to work with me on a credit for the questionable parts doesn't say much for their customer service either. Disappointing they'd blow off a long time repeat customer over something that was their fault. Would not use B&C again, nor would I trust our new cars to them after this. The really crazy part is it's easy to see the car is a "garage queen," very well maintained and in like new condition, so why mess around with parts like they did? Bottom line: At the very least, anyone using their shop should make sure they know what kind of parts B&C is using, and be aware they're rates/prices are no bargain. read more
