If you have an AC/heating system and are not having Ray's Service take care of it, you need to switch. From top to bottom there is no more responsive,cost effective and customer oriented firm around. The office staff gives accurate time estimates, courteous reminders and first class follow up. The technicians are superbly trained, eager to show and explain and never try to give you something you do not need. On these hot days I rest easy knowing that should I have a problem I will get prompt response rather than being told it will be days before they can get here. Had an issue where our furnace was power cycling due to it becoming too hot and turning off well before reaching the thermostat temperature. Another HVAC company came out (twice) and basically said it was fine and everything was working okay so no need to change anything. Chris came out and within the hour diagnosed, explained, and corrected the issue. Reduced the gas and increased airflow - no more cycling and it reaches the desired temperature more efficiently than before. Ray's service went above and beyond. I have been having issue with the AC since last summer. If you can bear with a little background it will put Ray's professionalism into perspective. I had contacted another highly rated (family owned and operated) AC service and had them come out twice to fix the issue. Both times I was charged for the inspection. They could find nothing wrong with the unit. They did find that are solar and battery installation wiring was problematic and thought that was the issue. We had the wiring fixed but the issue persisted. Issue was AC would run but for a few hours everyday (hottest time of day would shut off, fan would run but no cooling). Twice I paid the other company $100 + for the house visit with no repair completed. Yes, I know, why did I have the same company come out twice? They found the wiring issue which is what I thought the problem was or was hiding the other. So I figured after the wiring issue they should find the AC issue no problem. Nothing. (Heat ended and I forgot about the issue) Skip forward to this year, temperature warmed and issue returned. I called Ray's this time around. Appointment , was very timely considering we were in a heat wave (less than a week.). Osvaldo, was extremely polite, professional and knowledgable. He found the issue in about five minutes after patiently listening to problem in its entirety (As you can see from the review, I probably went into the details a little too thoroughly). Very reasonable quote for the capacitor and explained why the system had still been running and why it was shutting off. He did the repair on the spot and the AC has been running smoothly and quietly ever since. he also inspected the entire HVAC, found a couple of minor issues that he said could wait but to keep an eye on. I said I would like to get them taken care of, and he fixed them on the spot, he showed pictures of the issues in the areas (attic) that I could not easily observe or inspect. Extremely happy with the service, the pricing, professionalism and friendly patience. Now for the above and beyond. I had another contractor working on our bathroom at the time of Osvaldo's visit. I had forgotten that the dog was in the house (he is a husky an escape artist and a runner.). I had stepped aside to talk to the contractor and left the front door open, and unknown to me the dog made a run for it. Osvaldo who had been writing up a quote by his van saw the dog dash and dropped everything to go after him. I finally caught up to them 3 blocks away in my truck (after being informed by one of the bathroom workers as to what had happened.). He had chased the dog down, even though he had nothing to do with its escape. Like I said, "Above and Beyond."these guys are awesome. read more

I contacted them based on a referral on Facebook. I called, someone answered immediately. I was given an appointment for the next day at a time slot that worked for me. The person answering was professional and efficient and friendly. The next day, on the earlier part of the time window we had been given, Chris arrived to assist us. He was helpful, informative and spoke to us in terms we were able to understand. He handled the inspection on two units we wanted, and debugged our thermostat. The price was very competetive. Chris was knowledgeable and effective. My wife and I aren't helpless, but a blown fuse on a control panel in the attic, well... just glad we had someone to work that out and fix it, there is a limit to our DIY skills. Sure enough, after this fix, we were able to have the thermostat do its thing. For those in the know, from the panel in the attic, the fuse for the Rc line was blown. I MIGHT have figured that out, but I certainly liked having an experienced person check the whole system out and give us his recommendations (something I would not known how to do or what to recommend). Someone in their office e-mailed me an invoice that was detailed and also included an attractive bid for some repair work that was recommended (we asked for this). I contacted the office and paid the invoice. I have reached out to them to ask them to do the repairs they suggest and I'm also keeping their number for when we have to replace the system (probably in five years sadly, but it's original to the 2002 build and is old generation equipment). read more

My technician was Osvaldo, he was efficient and through and checked out my two condenser units. He identified that one condenser needed refrigerant. Had another guy replace an older package unit with a new system. Installation was not done right as the unit was set on existing pads which were not large enough or strong enough for my new unit, resulting in sinking and ducting pulling away from the wall. Called several companies but none wanted to remove the unit, pour a concrete pad and re-install the unit. Chris came by personally and even called to see if it was OK to come a day EARLY! Long story short, Ray's crew removed my unit carefully without destroying landscaping. They poured the pad and the following week re-intalled the unit and connecting ducting to the house. Tarps were laid down and there was no sign they had even been there. Just a solid concrete pad supporting my unit and perfectly level. Work is guaranteed and looks great. Great work at a fair price.
