We stopped here for a meal before leaving Midland, so we didn't get to try many of their plates. I can conclude that the servings were good portion sizes. From what we had I wouldn't say the food was remarkable or memorable, but it was alright. We really enjoyed their bread though. The food came out hot and fresh. The service was a bit slow, but it didn't ruin the experience. From the outside the restaurant doesn't appear to be anything great, but once you open the door it was a completely different atmosphere. A good thing to know before coming is that it's BYOB, so if you're wanting a drink with your meal then you'll have to bring in your own alcohol. I'd give them a 3.5 overall if I could. read more

My fiancé and I got a gift card here for Christmas. Thank goodness we didn't pay for this meal out of our own pocket besides $10. - we received our meal like this. Sauce everywhere. - our salads soggy and had like green juice flowing from it. -pizza and mozzarella sticks were cold. -we waited 45 minutes to pick up our Togo order. -our Hawaiian pizza didn't even contain pineapple. Majorly disappointed because they weren't even following Covid protocols. This place was so packed it was waaaaaay over 50%. Best Italian food in the area. Restaurant was able to seat large party of 9 relatively quick and service was amazing.

Disappointing on several levels to say the least, half star ratings are not an option! We showed up for dinner at +/- 8:50pm on Sunday night only to be greeted and told that we could not be seated (two) because they had closed early despite the restaurant being more than 50% occupied with customers seated and eating. However, they were willing to take our order and provide takeout. Turns out this was a poor decision on my part to accept such an offer knowing full well the kitchen was likely cleaning up or already cleaned up. My suspicion was accurate, we ended up with a meal that was comprised of a lasagna that had been partially frozen, thawed and baked with what appeared to be a canned sauce that was doctored up and was so acidic that I cannot fathom this being their homemade sauce, the "garlic rolls/bread" had little if any garlic and were cold, the Fettuccine w/ shrimp had what seemed like a watered down Alfredo sauce with thawed out shrimp that had absolutely no flavor at all. I wish I would have taken pictures just for reference, but surely pictures would have done a disservice to the poor quality of this food. Neither myself nor my wife could stomach this meal. If the owners of this establishment are any part/full Italian, I would be embarrassed to serve this food to my friends or family. I can appreciate a restaurant closing early , but given what I saw (customers in the middle of their meals) upon entering and then attempting to eat less than desirable food I ordered to go was the icing on the cake! read more

My husband and I have been here three times and usually come at lunch, I like this place because the music in the background is low, the lighting is ambient and is not a noisy place. We are having the special Salmon Classico and Stuffed Chicken. As always the warm rolls and garlic oil is so appetizing. Can't wait to post some pictures. read more

First time at Ray's. Upon arrival, there were many tables available, but the waitress decided to take all the way in the back to a 2 top in a corner next to a LOUD party of 8. (There were plenty of tables in this room and the room we walked through. (I don't understand why we went back there.) The group was so loud that my husband and I had to text each other to converse. One man sitting at this table wanted to be heard, so he talked at the top of his lungs. One thing I thought was funny they began talking about the people at the 2 top, duh, that's my husband and I. they brought some case of wine from home and must have drank 2 bottles each. I enjoyed the loud man talking about folks that drink white wine, eat escargot, and do not know how to order properly in restaurants. The conversation was a big circus. I enjoyed having a cell phone to converse with my husband. Worst dining experience! I must say, the Greek salad and penne pasta pomodoro terrific. My husband had chicken parmesian, absolute worst he's ever had. The tiramisu and Italian cream cake was delicious. The food was overall a 3, and the experience was a 0. In midland and wanted some nice Italian food. I'd not heard of this place but it came up on yelp. My brother ordered the lobster ravioli, and I had the linguini with shrimp and clams in the white sauce. We also had calamari for an appetizer. My brother said he enjoyed the ravioli but that it was a bit salty and definitely not freshly made (let's keep our expectations realistic bc this is midland after all)...the linguini was excellent though and had plenty of clams. Why did you remove over half my review about Rays Italian Bistro? People should know the true opinions on restaurants. Isn't that what YELP is for? The service was horrible and the waitress ignored us for half an hour serving a group of people that was loud and obnoxious. They had six bottles of wine on their table and were getting all the service. When she finally came to take our order she had an attitude like we were a bother to have to serve us. When she went to the other table she was all smiles. Even the manager came to their table to have a little fun and jokes. Maybe we should have ordered bottles of wine!! read more
