When you're looking for a fun, laid back dive bar with great food, Lucky's is your place. It looks…read moreso unassuming from the outside, but having tried several menu items, you can't go wrong. My favorite is the chicken philly cheesesteak. There's such a great option of beers and wines and the service is always outstanding. It's a little out of nowhere for us, but we look forward to every visit!

Standing alone next to a busy road, next to Burger King no less, sits Lucky's Burger shack. Long…read moreon character and short on parking, we gave it go on a busy Tuesday. Some call it a dive bar, some are more generous; are there sticky tables, servers with tattoos, a busy bar were suds and cheaper whiskey prevail, and original paint? You bet! Let's get to the food. Lucky's menu features a variety of burgers, salads, wings, hotdogs and sides. Don't expect beer on tap, but an extensive selection of bottled beer should satisfy most folks. We ordered a Black and Blu burger with onion straws and a patty melt with fries. From the time we walked in until our food arrived probably took about 25 minutes. That was our own fault as we took way too long deciding what to order. When our food arrived, I immediately dug into the well constructed burger. I could barely open my mouth wide enough. And the taste? Very tasty. My wife enjoyed her patty melt--a burger on marbled rye with cheese and cooked onions that holds up surprisingly well! My onion straws were crunchy and sweet. Fries weren't great, but all in all an enjoyable burger experience. Oh, did I mention entertainment? Well on Tuesdays you can grab a free bingo card and try your luck winning a gift card! Try Lucky's today!

I love Jimmy's because the people are great. It's so easy to make friends here, even if you are the…read moreshyest person. The bartenders and karaoke djs are great. Oh, and it has karaoke FOUR nights a week! It also has darts, pool, and an old style arcade game. Jimmy's looks a little rough on the outside because of poor lighting, but looks can be deceiving. It is members only but it's easy to become a member. Peak hours are a bit unpredictable. Even on a Friday night, sometimes it's really busy and sometimes it is slow. Sometimes it's busy on a Tuesday. You just never know so if it's too slow or too crowded the first time you show up, try again.

They often have home cooked food out and welcome anyone to eat what they would like. Patrons also bring snacks to give to the bar which are given to guest free of charge when available at request. Karaoke with Ernie is absolutely the best. Other KDJs do karaoke on some nights and also do a good job, but nothing beats Ernie. Jimmy's is a melting pot of people and everyone is welcomed equally. You will find a wide range of ages of all types of beliefs and backgrounds having a great time together. Whether it is throwing darts, shooting pool, singing karaoke, or drinking cold beer at the bar. The only cons would be the lighting is poor at night and it does get very smokey. It is easy to overlook that, but it is something to consider if you have poor eyesight or breathing difficulties.

Spotted this pub as we drove by, coming into town for a stop over on our way to Norfolk, Va…read more fortunately it was within walking distance from our hotel. Such a cute area with boutiques, bakery/coffee shops and restaurants. I was excited for, craving and hoping for fish and chips and they did not disappoint! Very friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful pictures of Ireland's landscape in the dinning area adjacent to the bar room. Great cocktail, wine and beer menu. We had EXCELLENT meals...pot roast and fish and chips! I enjoyed ( never had one before ) an Irish martini.

Now mind you there were a lot of empty tables with "reserved" on them at that point. Fast forward an hour later, because we didn't get a txt from them, we went in to see what the story was. They proceeded to tell us it would be another 30 minutes. Also the seats that had "reserved" on them were still empty! They said they would take care of us, and walked us over to the bar side, and told us we would have to stand at the counter to eat! I was fuming. The other three from my party walked out, while i proceeded to tell the manager this was extremely poor service! All he could say was they were busy. I pointed out the empty tables that were empty when we first walked in an hour ago and are still empty! They finally gave us one of those tables. We were out in an hour and guess what ...... there were still empty tables with "reserved" on them! Would NOT recommend this place to anyone! My suggestion is to go someplace else!! Like I said, our waitress was extremely nice and couldn't apologize enough.
