Weco was alright, but it's not the most impressive brewery or Biergarten that I've been to recently. They had a solid selection of IPAs, but none with particularly high alcohol content volumes. Additionally, while they had a lot of different flavored beers, none of the ones that I tried were very good (to be blunt.) I did appreciate the multitude of portions that they offered, where you could get a small glass for about $3.75, which allows you to try a few different brews for an affordable price. I loved the two (2) staff members that I interacted with, who definitely knew their fermentation, and were friendly about holding a conversation. They also had a very large selection of canned beers, which perhaps I should have tried rather than relying solely on the tap. Overall, Weco was fun and I'll probably be back to try some more of their beers in the future, but I think it lags behind most of the other Biergartens I've been to in the surrounding area.

As I sit outside reading sipping a Trillium Vicinity 8% today I realize how much I enjoy the outdoor space at this establishment. Another satisfying Saturday sipping on beers just a few years ago you could never acquire unless you traveled hundreds of miles. West Columbia has finally arrived or maybe they just got a good watering hole I'll cross the river for any given day. Support your local craft beer establishment as they need your help more than ever with things the way they are now.

My favorite place to get beers in columbia. Amazing staff, crisp AC, always have some burial on tap.

Great selection of beer here with even better prices. The outdoor area is massive which is difficult to tell from the road. They also have top notch taste in food trucks.

The hubby and I enjoy this Biergarten. You can't go wrong having a variety of beers while experiencing rotating food trucks. We personally love to bring our cards and play Rummy while sipping our favorite beverages and then selecting beers to take home. We only wish we could have our dog with us under the pergola for shade purposes. Dogs are only allowed in the grassy area where sometimes the sun beats down on you.

This place has become one of my local faves, almost instantly. There's always a knowledgeable associate to help when you're undecided or just to recommend something new. They have large and small tables all spaced appropriately. They keep a variety of food vendors on rotation too so you'll almost always find something to eat. Their local pimento cheese and feta dip in the case is my little reward, literally! I love this place

Seasonal beer! It'll be gone soon but something delicious will take its place.

I drop by this joint a few times a week as it's right in the middle of one of the upcoming spots in the midlands. If you want a quick beer for a reasonable price, they'll sell you high quality from the tap out in the patio for $4 cash. It's a limited selection of six beers and ciders, but there's always something that'll surprise you at that price. Inside, it's a different story. There are sixteen taps of IPAs, sours, a stout or porter or two, local lagers, German dunkels, and a rotating cast that will satisfy the beer nerd and beer newbie. It's still reasonable on the wallet, though. If nothing catches your fancy from a keg, turn around and behold the coolers full of goodness from around the country and world. IPAs of all varieties start on the right and roll into sours and ciders. Then, the lager and pilsners manifest on the shelves along with the European entrants in the cabaret. To the left, darkness abounds with stouts and roasted, malty libations. You can find some snacks in there as well: pimento cheese and pesto from The Whig with pretzels to dip. In season, there are boiled peanuts so be sure to ask for an empty cup for shells. If you need a kombucha or soft drink, look in the last cooler and you'll find what you want. If you're not a beer drinker, there is a wall full of wines and the staff will point you to one that'll match what you're craving. I asked for a recommendation that would go with take-out Chinese one night and was pointed to the perfect pairing. Hungry? The food trucks are lining up to get in here and there has been one every night lately with two some nights. On Saturday and Sunday, the mimosas start before 11 ($4!!!!) and the food trucks serve brunch. It's a great way to start the day. If a food truck doesn't show for some reason, check out one of the close-by kitchens and grab something to go and eat it at one of the dozens of picnic tables spaced around the premises. There's plenty of space on the patio and in the Biergarten. Bring your friends but don't be a jerk. Wear your mask when you order at the bars and keep your dogs and kids close by. This is a jewel you need to visit.

What a great addition to West Columbia. Want to have a few craft pints? WECO is for you. Want to take some craft beer home? WECO is for you. Wonderful staff. Great selection. When the weather warms up the outdoor space is going to be the best place for drinks in the greater Columbia area.

Service was good and very friendly, portion sizes were extremely generous, and well priced. That said, the food wasn't great. Very greasy all around. My frittata had a ton of mozzarella cheese which added no flavor but a ton of calories, one bite of the grit cake and it had very little taste but a lot of fat in it. I had brunch here once before a few years ago and I remember there being some healthier options on the menu and I don't remember it being this greasy. J.Ja

However, we expected German beer options being that they call themselves a Biergarten. They had none. Absolutely nothing about this place was German. We went on a Sunday late morning and all they had was brunch. That was fine, but the brunch menu was fairly limited. And again, nothing German. While our service was great, it looked like they had two servers for the entire place. We saw two tables of people get up and leave because the weren't being waited on. Again, our experience was good. But maybe consider the negatives before trying.

I also like…read moresharing my experience with others with food allergies to help them know if it's a good option. For someone who cannot eat wheat, there were not many safe options. Even the BBQ sauce contained wheat. I was still able to have a few things, but overall, the options were limited. The band was very loud at first, but they did turn it down slightly, which helped a lot. We originally went expecting an afterparty connected to an event I participated in earlier that morning. I've been to afterparties before, and they are usually in a clearly designated, blocked-off area for participants and sometimes families. When we arrived, there were actually three different events happening, which is great--but it made things confusing. Parking was also difficult, and there were no accessible parking spots available at the time since all three were taken. The venue itself has a main restaurant, outdoor seating, a food ordering area, and a separate bar. There was a sign pointing toward another building connected to the restaurant that mentioned the morning event I attended, so we followed it. However, something didn't feel right. When I asked staff for clarification, they weren't sure whether the area was for runners/participants or only for company staff. About 20 minutes later, we learned it was actually only for staff. The signage was very misleading, and I wasn't the only one confused. Even the front staff seemed unsure of what was going on, which made things more frustrating. The event coordinator wasn't available, so it felt like communication was lacking across the board. In the end, we still got our food and drinks and had a good time, but it was a confusing experience overall. I do feel for the staff who were put in a difficult position without clear information. Clearer signage would have helped a lot--for example, specifying the company name and clearly stating whether the area was for employees only or open to participants from the event that morning. Better communication in the event emails would also have made expectations much clearer about what was open to the public versus staff only from the start. Overall, it is still a nice place to hang out and enjoy food and live music, but the event setup and communication definitely need more clarity.

We made the stop after taking a tour of the state capitol - which we also highly recommend! The place is huge with ample seating inside and out. And the setting? It couldn't be better! The food... we ordered the Garlic Knots, Mediterranean Pizza, and a Pepperoni Pizza, and were not disappointed. The Garlic Knots - freshly made, good quality dough. We almost went back and ordered a second order of 'em. The pizzas? We loved them! My son said the bottom could've been a little bit crisper, but otherwise, the quality of the ingredients was good, and both tasted great. The Brews... we enjoyed two flights, not bad overall. Our favorite one out of the bunch was the ESB. It's their Red Ale, and it was a good one! The raspberry sour was also a pretty good drink. The other brews, not bad, but also not the best we've had. I had a few options, but ultimately landed on Gervais and Vine and made a reservation. On the recommendation of our server, we started with a bottle of In Sheep's Clothing and got to ordering. I had already scoured the menu before coming in so I was pretty sure I knew what I wanted. I love that it's smaller portions so you can order different dishes and try a bunch all at once. We started with the baked brie which I think had an apricot spread plus some fruit and bread. Then we did the petit filet mignon, pork with gorgonzola cream sauce, spicy shrimp gambas, and the seared jumbo scallops. This may sound like too much for two people and you would be right but it was so delicious. I highly recommend everything we had. If I had to choose some standouts, the shrimp were phenomenal and I'm still thinking about them. The biggest surprise was the pork. It was a good size portion in comparison and the cream sauce was so good. Honestly, if you followed this order to a T or any variation of it, you can't go wrong. We weren't rushed in any way so in lieu of dessert we took our time finishing that bottle of wine. While there were some other menu items that jumped out at me, I would absolutely come back and order the exact same thing again. This was one of my favorite meals this year.
