This location is great. I had a 10:10 appointment and they asked me to be here 30 minutes before. There were 4 people working registration so it went smoothly. I was checked in 5 minutes later and called for my appointment 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment. I was in and out with a copy of the scans by 10:15. Now here's my issue. ALWAYS read the doctors imaging prescription before going. After I was brought into a private room the technician said he was going to get the IV for the contrast. I told him the order clearly stated With Out contrast. He did check the order again and verified I was correct. Thankfully I was aware and knew the difference because that could have been a major mistake. read more

Trying to schedule an appointment with Rayus Radiology felt less like healthcare and more like attempting to get concert tickets during a Ticketmaster presale. This review is a rollercoaster, so buckle up. The saga began after my doctor sent over a prescription. Rayus reached out by text and phone, which initially felt efficient and promising. Then came the automated phone system. Somewhere between the prompts, hold music, and waiting to speak to a human being, nearly an hour of my life disappeared into the void. Over 40 minutes of that was spent on hold. An hour. To make one appointment. I put the appointment on my calendar, but forgot the exact time, so I called a few days later to confirm it. That's when I was informed I had no appointment at all. I'm sorry... what exactly were we doing together for an hour the first time? So after another 45-minute adventure through the hold queue, Appointment Part Two was successfully created. Or so I thought. Two days before the appointment, billing calls me to explain they were beginning the insurance pre-approval process and probably wouldn't hear back from my insurance company in time. They then asked if I wanted to pay out of pocket and "hope" insurance reimbursed me later. Hope? For radiology pricing? Absolutely not. They told me I'd need to contact the appointment department to reschedule. I politely explained that I'd rather wrestle an alligator in a Publix parking lot than spend another hour on hold. They assured me they would handle the rescheduling themselves. Spoiler alert: they did not. Instead, I started getting automated calls and texts reminding me to reschedule. So back into the scheduling abyss I went. This time the hold was only about 30 minutes, which by then felt like express service. At this point, I was mentally hovering between zero stars and throwing my phone into traffic. But then... plot twist. The actual in-office experience was excellent. I arrived at 11:20 because their texts told me I had an 11:45 appointment and should arrive 30 minutes early. Turns out the actual appointment was 12:15, and 11:45 was apparently the "show up early" time. Confusing? Absolutely. But the front desk staff handled it with kindness and professionalism instead of attitude, which honestly caught me off guard after the scheduling nightmare. Not only were they nice about it, they managed to get me in early anyway. The tech was professional, efficient, and treated me with dignity throughout the visit. The facility itself was clean, comfortable, and well run. If I were rating only the people inside the building, this would easily be five stars. But unfortunately, the process of actually getting and keeping an appointment was so frustrating and unnecessarily difficult that I can't justify averaging this out to three stars. I come here for any kind of radiology work I need done and haven't had any issues until now. When I called to make the appointment, it was a half hour wait, but I wasn't too upset about that. What can ya do. I came in today for an ultrasound for a very sad, emotional and scary reason, and though I was in and out quickly, the radiologist just wasn't very nice or sensitive at all. It was like I was bothering her just for being alive. I don't remember her name, I think it started with an M, she had a strong Russian (?) accent. She also had me remove my pants and underwear while she was still in the room which never happened before and seemed a bit strange. She was in a hurry to get me out and didn't tell me how long it would take to get the results or anything. She just seemed to be in a rush to be done with me and gossip with the girl sitting outside of the room. I was also a half hour early to my appointment so it's not like she was mad at me for being late or anything. I really don't understand what the problem was, but it makes me not want to return. Prior to this everyone has been very kind so I don't know what this woman's issue was with me or her life, but why hire people who aren't kind? Very upsetting and now I understand others issues with this place. The previous woman who did my mammogram was very kind. Anyway now I don't think I'll be returning even though the location is very convenient for me. read more

They are friendly and courteous. You have to fill out a tablet which has you update all of your medical information so that you will be totally safe. In my case, I had to take an MRI. So it was especially important to review my medical history. All went well and I left with a disc that my doctor requested. read more

I come here often and it's always a pleasant experience. The wait time is never long and the staff is always friendly. I will say I do like to go to their earliest or latest appointments but it's never too busy when I am there and it's usually in and out. Where do I start? I thought everything was set. MRI STAT appt made for 6:30 pm arrive at 6. I am being told that my appt isn't until the 17th. I just made the appt yesterday and it was for today, not the 17th. Then I'm told it was earlier today at a different location, but because I didn't show, they cancelled it. Now I'm being told there's nothing they can do cause it's after hours. This is not the first time they've screwed up. This is major screw up #3!!! Unbelievable. This place is a waste of your time, literally. They did not advise me in advance that my bladder would need to be full in order to do a planned ultrasound. I had to sit in the lobby drinking tons of water and wait for it to fill. It boggles the mind that they wouldn't tell you that when you make the appointment. I'm a big guy. They have a wide bore MRI & I just kept my eyes closed and dreamed of my boat and deep breaths. A little snug but no more problems I fit fine. Gloria at the front desk is a sweetheart. If they ever get rid of her she can call me for a job. The technician that administered the MRI was also a sweetheart. Bery nice & did everything she could to Make it Comfortable. Mixed bag, mostly good, but two glaring issues: check-in redundancy and ludicrous wait time. The entire facility is easy wheelchair access, super clean inside, great climate control, decent seating, accessible restrooms, even a small coffee nook, and their staff very friendly. The exam room I used was also spotless, the equipment spotless, and the tech was friendly, communicated clearly and worked efficiently. The check-in with portable hand-held electronic pads was bizarre; default language was in Spanish, which I can read to an extent but not for hyper-specific questions, and I had to reset each page (of which there were over 15-20) to English, and the program asked if I was pregnant, after I'd already indicated that I am male, and also indicated separately that I was male at birth, about 30 times in 3 different ways. It asked what pronouns I use? Why? Just call me by my name, first, last, I don't care, or "Hey, you." Whoever wrote the check-in program tried way, way, way too hard. Just get my insurance card, man, and don't ask "male" patients if we're pregnant... repeatedly. Anyhow, then I waited. And waited. And waited. They asked me to show up at 10am for a 10:30 appt., but they finally took me at 11:15. Could've shown up late and still been early, know what I mean? Figure out your wait times, people. read more

I cannot thank the team at Rayus Radiology enough for their incredible support during my MRI today. As someone who suffers from panic attacks in small spaces, I was terrified before my appointment. However, the staff's attentive, caring, and highly professional attitude changed everything. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to make me feel safe and comfortable. 1st appointment I showed up for on time I was told "we are running 1.5 hrs behind". I can understand that but why not at least call you patient/customer I tell them that so you dont waste our time. 2nd appointment it will be 541.81. Tried to give them 524.00 and then won't accept it unless its exact change. This business is run without any care of customer service. Would NOT recommend. There are much better service providers you can go to. Will be letting all the doctors network know so they can find better providers for their patients. read more

KNOW YOUR INSURANCE POLICY --in fact bring the detail for payment with you to the appointment!! My insurance required a co-pay of $200.00 for a CT scan. Rayus INSISTED I owed the co-pay AND the deducible!! I had waited two months for this scan as Rayus submitted wrong coding and my scan was denied. So at the appointment I was prepared to pay the co-pay but Rayus insisted I pay the deductible as well as the co-pay, which by the way was more than the self pay for the procedure! I didn't wish to reschedule so I put it on a credit card. The NEXT day I brought the insurance policy showing what my responsibility was and asked for a refund. I was denied and had to wait until the insurance claim was processed. My appointment was 2-2, and I called March 16, and the billing department agreed that I was overcharged and at that time issued me a credit to my card. Note it took a call from me to initiate the refund. Now April 10, no refund has hit my bank, (I looked back to the service date). Rayus told me to wait another 10 to 14 days! I tried for over an hour to get SOMEONE to help me and no one would do anything but send me a copy of the refund that had not hit my bank over two months later! My only option left was to dispute the overcharge with my credit card company. To ALL of you who work at Rayus -- people come to you because they are sick -- to treat anyone the way you treated me is simply unacceptable. Your on hold message that you service elite athletes (Olympic ski and snowboard team) is a slap in my face. You clearly don't care about the individual seeking medical care -- shame on you. My hope for you is that you don't experience the treatment you showed me. read more

My wife needed a mammogram. I tried booking by phone. Gave up after 40 minutes on hold. This happened twice so I eventually went to their office. Scheduled appointment and was told to bring in ultrasound image and report which I did. I kept receiving texts confirming appointment but also got phone calls questioning need for procedure (we'd already given Rayus a prescription) and asking for data I'd already submitted. I twice had to revisit to confirm appointment in wake of negative calls. My wife has dementia and is wheelchair-bound. We hired special transportation and three family members were on hand to help. We waited nearly an hour and when the technician finally called us she said they were short-staffed and exam might be a problem. She also brazenly stated that our long wait was because she'd skipped my wife's turn as "it was going to be difficult." My wife cooperated fully with all requirements but technician said she couldn't be positioned correctly for exam and gave up. It was a waste of everybody's time and it was obvious the technician was completely negative about the whole thing. It was also clear to us that she was behind the obstructive phone calls prior to the appointed procedure. The whole experience -- and a previous encounter when I needed an ultrasound -- shows Rayus' total disregard for patients needs, time and expense. I'll never use them again. read more

There is a real concern regarding the report given to me. No comparison was made with the previous report and to try to get this corrected is challenging. This is SERIOUS medical we are talking about . In addition my primary doctor never got the report even though the person faxing insisted it was sent . Chest xray ordered from my Physician. He wrote it for STAT as he suspected I had pneumonia. Called that afternoon and was on the phone on hold for 45 min. Someone answered and said we have no one to take your call and hung up. Redialed and was on hold for 40 minutes before someone answered. Appointment for the next day at 10:30am. Here it is, 8 days later. No X-rays were sent to the doctor because of a "new system". The doctor called. I called, and got no where. This is unacceptable. I had to get antibiotics anyway because I was still sick and the doctor thought it best to be proactive while we wait for them to read my X-rays. I'm calling my insurance and disputing the charges. I recently had an MRI of the brain at Boynton Beach location for Rayus. Very unimpressed. Radiology tech failed to offer me a mirror to see in the tube. I put down that I was claustrophobic. In 20 plus minutes, I never. was checked on to see how I was doing. I was given no reassurance of any kind, or told it was almost over. Very disappointed I was then told my Followup ultrasound was at a different location. How could I complete an MRI at 3:45pm, and then have an ultrasound in Boca right afterwards. Without a doubt, one of the most inferior medical providers in existence, locally at least. Turn around time and communication of results, even for STAT (emergency) studies are non-existent. You will have to visit an ER to have the test done and resulted so you do not deteriorate or die before you get their stat results!! They are completely UNRESPONSIVE which is totally negligent and irresponsible. The ordering MD could not navigate their useless system and obtain my results either! They were fast to do the test and collect my money, but I could not obtain the results seven days later and still waiting. Steer away from this company. Rayus is the most difficult facility to get ahold of. Minimum 20 minutes on hold to get scheduled for scans. I just spent near 50 minutes on hold with a question for a supervisor to get hung up on in the middle of it. I gave up and scheduled at a competitor location. read more

The attendant's doing the imaging are excellent.The girls right outside the imaging are also very nice.But when you go in, you have to wait on a tremendous line, and there is one person by the name of j.A d that is extremely rude. She got her jollies, sending me to the end of the line for my diagnostic report, then calling me back to her and then disappearing where I had to go to somebody else on the end of the line to help me. They forget they have a job because most of us who go in there.Have something wrong.It could be your heart.Your brain, your bones, and she got her jollies.Sending me back and forth and all around.
