I chose Raz because they quoted me the cheapest price initially and I had a particular situation with there being a mouse that had been living in our garage-- so things were a disaster to say the least. There's a lot of shame when you have a space that is a mess and full of junk, but the guys came and didn't make me feel bad. They got right to work. My 60+ year old carpet had to go! I was very happy with their prompt service and their due diligence when it came to handling the room. The house is over 100 years old! They kept me posted on their ETA, I can't fault them, blame SF traffic! In fact I was a little embarrassed, a big truck pulled up but it didn't have any branding, a lot of neighbours are moving, so I though it was more movers, turned out to be two of the guys! But they had branding on their shirts. We get a lot of people park across our driveway, the last thing I wanted was a moving van blocking them. lol. To my surprise they called me in the room to show me the "padding" turned out the be the original carpet from 1915! I was shocked, of course back then they used newspaper to cover the floor. It was well preserved and will make an interesting piece for me to showcase. I was told they never worked on a house this old, they even found a lotto ticket from the old San Francisco Company. Something I need to look up. The room was filled with heavy furniture, but that wasn't a problem, which my mom was worried about. They got the job done in a couple of hours and cleaned up the mess. Called these guys and they were able to come out the same day. They were able to quote me based on a few pictures I sent from my phone. Final price was slightly higher, maybe 5%, but they also hauled few other large items not in my pictures. Oops. :-) They told they would arrive between 11a and 11:30a, and 2 guys showed up at 10:55a. They meticulously cleaned out the garage, separating the trash and recyclables. They loaded everything and swept up afterwards. Very nice. Very fast. I spent $320 for a 2-car garage filled with junk, including an old water heater, BBQ, Foosball table, garbage, etc. It took a good 2 hours to sort and load. I paid by credit card and got a receipt via email. Also, tipped the workers $20 for doing a good job. May sound a little pricey, but they were on time, came the same morning I called, hauled away my headache without me lifting a finger. Priceless. read more

Saturday night, during the Memorial Day holiday weekend, I emailed to get a quote for removing some items, promptly received a reasonable quote, and then called to accept the quote and make arrangements. The crew of two showed up Monday morning, at the beginning of the specified 8:00-10:00 a.m. time period.Courteous and efficient. Ziv and his team were awesome from the very beginning when I requested a quote via Yelp! I needed to have my patio sectional, ottoman, and umbrella removed (note to self, furniture with "weather proof cushions" still needs to be covered and will disintegrate over time if left out in the elements no matter what it says). I actually requested a quote almost a year ago. At the time, Ziv responded within a hour and offered to get it that same weekend. The price was fair, but I hesitated. At the time, I thought maybe I could salvage the pieces, so I didn't end up getting it removed. Fast forward to this year, and I've finally gotten my act together to deal w the mess of furniture before it's outdoorsy weather. I re-contacted Ziv via our initial Yelp thread. He responded the same day and said he could do the work for the same price. Pricing - reasonable and fair Scheduling - super easy and convenient for my schedule! None of this 4 hours window business either. They were there between 9 and 10, exactly as scheduled and Ziv actually let me know when his guys were leaving the Sunset and heading over to my place. Service - quick response to request a quote, super polite, friendly crew members, and speedy removal. They were in and out in about 15 mins. Not that there was much for them to do but load it up on the dolly, but they didn't waste anytime. :) They even worked w the complications of my HOA rules and parking restrictions (they had to wheel out the stuff on a dolly instead of driving right up due to the parking structure situation). ***Bonus points*** - Ziv and his guys are fully insured--YAY! Great hauling company! They do the best they can to give you an estimate, but sometimes it turns out that I've got more stuff than anticipated - photos don't do it justice. We contacted Ziv, the owner, to help us haul away years of stuff that were collected by my elderly parent's home in San Francisco. It was a big job, more than we could handle. I contacted Raz Hauling at 9:30am and they came in an hour to remove everything from beat-up lawn furniture and a broken crib to boxes of cardboard and bags of garbage. The couldn't take fluorescent light bulbs, but recommended a place that could. They arrived on time, sorted everything, and were courteous. Their price was very reasonable given everything they hauled away.
