I can't say enough good things about this company and their workers. Our yard was ruined by gophers and required a lot of work, leveling, brand new irrigation system, sod and plants, adding some concrete pavers, fixing a broken pipe. We also needed two sheds moved and they did it all for us at a fair and reasonable price. I certainly recommend this company! The crew working/fixing our backyard were very hard working, polite able to answer our questions or reached out to Jose who could answer any questions. Each day the crew cleaned the mess behind them, you'd never know they had been here working! Hands down Jose and this company are great! Great people. Our neighbor recommended them after they had work done. Laid a concrete pad and walkway, moved our garden area and gave it a brick surround. Also moved the irrigation valves and put new ones in. Very responsive and reliable. Great job levelling the concrete and sloping it it to drain correctly. Love the garden surround Brian suggested. Looks good. Lots of complements. They also added electricity once we had our Tough shed installed. Really nice work. read more

Jose came out and provided us with a very reasonable bid including discounts. The next day he provided an estimate for the vinyl fence, concrete patio and turf. We accepted the estimate and the next week the started the work. The total timeframe from start to finish was three days. My family and I are very happy with our new backyard. Charged $2,000 to weed a 50 x 100 lot. Outrageous. Amounted to $85. per hour for unskilled labor and they cut the drip system in several places. They gave a receipt for the work which did not have a receipt number or the State Contractors License number. No workers comp. insurance. This company has refused to attempt to settle the matter but instead offered a 10% discount next time we used them, which will be never. Highly recommend potential customers to be VERY cautious. The company appears to using three different Contractors License numbers. read more

This review is long overdue! Jose, Brian, and their whole team are awesome!! They always arrived promptly, cleaned up after themselves, and asked if there were any doubts about what we discussed. I've had three projects done with them over the past year when I purchased my first new construction home. When I wanted to change out plants or add trees -- they did small jobs, too. They turned my dirt lot of a backyard into a finely landscaped area that I can enjoy with the fam. Even the neighbors have commented on how great everything came out. I reviewed and got quotes from a lot of companies as a first-time home buyer and none of them offered the level of communication and value for the price. Their service is what had me come back on the 2nd and 3rd jobs. I hired another company in the interim and ended up having to double pay because their work just didn't hold a candle to High Desert and I had to have them completely re-do the other company's work (this is after I had the other company come out twice). I vowed then and there I'd hire no one else - haha. Don't get me wrong -- landscaping is expensive these days, but I have had no remorse in my investments with High Desert! They did everything from giving me a large selection of greenery/plants, advising me on the grass I should get (it has held up extremely well), and how I could concrete the area. When economics came into play, they gave alternatives if outside my budget. The most important thing is they listened to what I wanted. I would highly recommend them. Initially they were very responsive. Price was great. Way lower than competition which probably should have indicated what I'd be getting. Came to do job when scheduled. Completed redesign of irrigation to new drip lines. Completed leveling of ground and application of decomposed granite (DG). Didn't do a very good job with the details. Left large tubing exposed in tree areas instead of placing them under soil. I ended up moving soil back in to cover them up. We had talked about this when they came because I have dogs that will chew exposed lines. Didn't set irrigation timer before leaving and left wiring uncovered. Lady who came to monitor their job ended up calling to find out how to set timer and she set it up. No one even tested the lines once completed. She left after also leveling out the soil the guys left all loose (the removed soil from the leveling job was placed elsewhere in the yard which was approved by me but I assumed they would sort of level it out) and she also had to take a very long section of irrigation hose they left behind in my yard. The next day we notice there are no signs of water around the plants. The timer dial was set to "off". I turned it to, "auto". The next day we noticed it came on but water is going everywhere forming pools of water (discovered no basins or trench left around plants for water to gather) or on a couple plants, there was no water visible (water tips we're buried under DG). Had to call them back to fix. They were suppose to come the next day and didn't show. I contacted again and was given excuses. They came the next day after that. The timer was set for 10 minutes by their office person and now the field guys told me that is way too long so they changed it to 3 minutes. They also dug out some DG to form a bowl around plants for water to accumulate so it doesn't run everywhere. Now, for the DG. In a few areas it's very well compacted and it looks great; however, in many areas it's very loose. My plan is to water the heck out of it and them tamp it down myself and repeat this a few times until it gets to where it should be. I had asked them for a quote for just DG (no irrigation) around my pool and they scheduled appointment but failed to show. Upon contact, they had no excuse or reason. Long story but the short if it is use them if you're budget it tight and you don't mind putting the finishing touches on the project yourself. If you want quality work, pay the extra to another company and hopefully, you get better quality and responsiveness. read more
