We came here two times in a week, and I have to say the food was wonderful! We had nachos, Ruben rolls, a burger, and a wrap, and each thing was flavorful, as well as the portions were huge! The service was very decent and kind and the ambience was what you would expect in a bar area. I have been here with friends three times in the last month and each time it was great. I don't know why, with the reasonable prices and good plentiful food, this place isn't busy all the time. I have not been there for breakfast but if it's as good as the food I have had at dinner I'm sure it's great ass well. I plan to try breakfast this Sunday.tonight I had a grilled chicken wrap with lettuce, tomato, chipotle aioli, and corn/bean salsa, and I had creamy chicken wild rice soup instead of fries for my side and it was wonderful. 3 5 stars overall: No longer really a sports bar; they've rebranded as a brunch bar. The menu is large and they do have mimosa and bloody mary selections and flights with a DIY garnish bar for your bloody marys. The food was solid; not spectacular but not bad by any means. One of our initially-ordered cocktails didn't arrive until after had eaten and gotten checks so we could really see they were struggling to get on pace a little bit. Service was slow and our server seemed very frazzled but perhaps that is due to being understaffed so will be sure to eat again and give an update as we know everyone is short handed right now. Will definitely come again for round two! read more

I went at lunch time, about 12:30, with a friend. This place is sort of divided. One side is definitely a bar with a bar atmosphere. The other side, where we ate, was more of a diner style, nice and bright and friendly. Service was good. Food was good. I had a avocado-turkey-BLT wrap which was really good. Big enough I could only eat half. (unfortunately it wasn't very good a couple days later.) Their onion rings were good also. It was quiet enough we were able to have a very nice visit. So many places you have to practically shout over the music that's being played. Didn't have to worry about that here. Next time in Rockford I'll probably stop in again. read more

Visiting family, cousin used to come here a lot so we stopped by at night then the morning. Good service at night even though they were somewhat busy. They got a decent selection of beers and hard alcohol. Reminds me of an old school 50s diner. We also came in the morning to have breakfast. What I ordered was not what I got. My wife and I just had an amazing breakfast here. Our waitress, Kenzie, was great. She was busy but never showed any sign of stress and was genuinely pleasant not just with us but her whole time out on the floor. The Mimosas Flight, which is a cart of 4 types of Mimosas of your choosing was a fun thing to do with the wife. The food was on point. I'm not a breakfast parfait guy but my wife ordered it and I tried it. It was like a breakfast dessert. I'm a huge poached egg fan and many places don't seem to be able to get them right. Not the case here. They made them perfectly. The atmosphere here is just fun, welcoming and pleasant and the staff give off a vibe that they enjoy being here. Only have been here on numerous occasions for a night out. Nice place to hang out before the night starts, or somewhere to hang out all night. They typically have a DJ there on Friday & Saturday nights. Crowd can differ, but mainly the younger crowd. It can get pretty packed, so just be patient while walking through the crowd to get to one end of the bar to the other. They also have an outside patio that is typically open on warmer nights. Also slot machines are available if you want to test out your luck! Their drinks are standard pricing & usually does not take long to get a drink as there are usually several bartenders working. In my opinion, I feel they have the best green tea shots around town & give you a decent ratio of liquor & mixers. Have not tried the food there, but heard they have nice specials. read more

Hadn't been there for a few years since they shut down the evening services . Had a bad service experience but was interested in their brunch menu. . Took my daughter there for a Sunday brunch. We were seated right away and given menus. We talked for 15 minutes and no acknowledgement from our waitress. They were not really busy, there was a baby's or wedding shower but it was over. I told my daughter 5 more minutes, we saw other people getting served and waited on. Not sure if it was our waitress since she never came by. I told the gal who seated us as I left "never again", that was the reason we stopped coming there. I went to Jax pub got served with drinks in 1 minute and lunch within 15 minutes . Breakfast Pizza! If you have not tried RBI breakfast pizza, I suggest ordering! We have ordered this several times in the morning for the office and everyone loves it! The rest of the food here is typical bar food, nothing spectacular. People come here for Taco Tuesday but the tacos taste like all they did was cook the meat in a crockpot, nothing amazing about them. I got a little anxious to give their Krispy Kreme Sliders a chance and surprisingly they were pretty delicious. RBIs is a bar with an identity crises. Is it a bar with designer burgers, is it a restaurant that shows sports constantly, It's like it's trying to be too many things at the same time. The food here is good, not the greatest, but it is good. They do have a wide selection of burgers that are a little on the unusual side. It's kind of creative and honestly, most of the them are pretty good. I do really like the Hercules. It's probably my favorite one on their menu. I'm also a sucker for their waffle fries. If you're going to get fries, give them a try. The service here is hit and miss. Sometimes it's really good, other times it's off. It really depends on which waitress you get. I know which ones I tend to avoid when I go. Also, for those of us that ride motorcycles, don't worry about searching for a spot. Right outside the main door they have a large section reserved for bikes only. One of the many reasons I continue to go back. I tend to be loyal to motorcycle friendly places. read more

This resturant has major problems. Only 1 waitresses and 1 bartender (who was also helping waitress) was on. Almost 2 hrs for our meal, some was like warm. Would not go there again until managers their act together. Gordon Ramsay would tear this place apart. It is upper management failure. It was not the fault of the waitresses. read more

The Cajun Burger is the BOMB!!!! I stopped in on a cold Tuesday and was surprised that it was as cold inside the restaurant as it was outside...apparently the HVAC was not working. RBI is a typical sports bar with a bar, tables, and a bunch of TVs. Some sports bars are not family friendly, but I sense RBI is not one of "those" sports bars, and I would not hesitate to bring kids and grandparents to RBI. The menu was extensive and the Cajun Burger on the menu caught my eye. The food was quickly prepared and served as ordered. The burger was large and prepared with a nice Cajun seasoning adding just the right amount of heat. On the side was a Cajun remoulade sauce that I used to dip the burger and fries. The fries were served in a miniature fry basket...funny. Overall, a very good burger and dining experience. I was able to get in and out quickly to get back to work. read more

So I have been going here for about five years now once or twice a month. During that time I put up with fairly incompetent service to the point where I started offering the waitresses an extra 10% on their tip if they got my bill right on the first try. (They were successful once. Once.) And we weren't talking about extravagant orders...three kids meals and a chicken sandwich. Well tonight broke this camel's back. Ordered my blackened chicken sandwich and took a bite...of what type of meat was in there I could not tell you. But it was about 3/8" thick and tough as a $2 steak to bite through. The grain of the meat was going the wrong way so maybe it was a chicken ass or something. And it was the circumference of a small plum to boot. So it was a small thin hunk of some kind of nasty meat. When the waitress came over to ask how things were I said there was something weird about the chicken and quickly pointed out that I had been coming there a long time and had never sent anything back before. (I didn't want the Waiting treatment!) She said she recognized me and knew that I pretty much ordered the same thing every time so I would know if there was something wrong. A manager type came out to talk to me to see what was wrong and if I wanted anything different. Turns out they probably ran out of chicken as their truck is coming tomorrow. So I said just get me a burger. 30 minutes later the girls have all finished eating and I'm still sitting there waiting. Turns out they went ahead and put my order at the back of the line like a fresh order from the floor. So I told them to make it to go. (They were kind enough to put in one whole ketchup packet for my burger and fries in the to go container. Went awesome with my cold food when I got home.) Got the bill...and they didn't take a penny off. They should frame that check because it is going to be our last time there. Sorry RBIs. The food was the only thing you had going for you and now that it is bad...hasta la pasta. BTW it is spelled PIECE not PEICE and your Beefburger states that it comes with cheese. Read your menu before you print it. read more

I'd give this place negative stars if I could. They ran a promotion last year for a free Blackhawks jersey. All you had to do was fill the punch card by watching Blackhawks games at the bar and ordering a beer. We submitted ours last year about this time and were told we'd get a call when it was in. We inquired many times since then and have been told many excuses like "we are waiting to order them all together". I can't support a restaurant that would blatantly lie to a loyal costumer like that. What a waste of my time and money. Food is mediocre, go eat at pub 815 instead. The staff is friendly and the restaurant itself has a nice vibe to it. However, we ordered takeout and they forgot our pizza, then rushed to cook it and gave it to us undercooked. They charged us $4 worth of ranch and didn't give it to us. When we called to inform them they hung up on us three times. The pizza had a soapy awful taste to it, and the food was cold because we had to wait for the pizza. If you're going to the bar to drink it's a great place. I wouldn't waste my time here trying to have a nice dinner though. read more

Well... We went in looking for a Friday night fish fry. We stepped through the door and the first thing we noticed was that the ambient noise level was off the charts! Thank God we got seated around the corner in the area that was more like a dining area. As soon as we were seated, we yelled our order to our server. Salad was ok, soup was real good, fries were hot, fish was tasty, but not hot... Re ordered fish, and got the same thing. We could not carry on a conversation across our little table. I'm afraid we will not be frequenting this restaurant... I can't imagine this place when there's a game of some sort. Not what we look for in a restaurant. read more

This place is straight ass. Put in a $80 order for pickup. Told that it will be 30 minutes. No problem. Get there in 40 minutes. "Your order is almost ready". They forget our pizza. So they tell us that it'll be another 10 minutes. That's cool. 15 minutes later the pizza is ready and she tells us that she'll comp us for the pizza. Takes $10 off of our order. We get home and guess what? They forget our ranch. I wouldn't usually care about some ranch but we got wings, burgers, and pizza so we got $6 worth of ranch. I call them and tell them that they forgot to give us our ranch, politely. All I asked was if I can just come pick it up. They hung up one me. I called back, still being polite and as soon as I mentioned the ranch they hung up again. I called back at least 5 times, no exaggeration. Never got my ranch. That was just disrespectful. I guess that's what happens when you have a bunch of kids working at a "bar." The food was disgusting though. By the time I got home, after waiting for the pizza for 15 minutes, the rest of the food was cold. Even though it was cold, the pizza was still somehow soggy and tasted like paper. The burgers were burnt and tasted bad. And the wings were...something. Overall, some of the worst food I have ever tasted and the worst service I've ever had. This place makes Taco Bell look like a 5 star restaurant. read more

We popped in to a table for breakfast the other day and I had to track down 3 seperate employees to 1) order drinks 2) get a menu and 3) get my bill.
