This is a waste of time , it don't make sense why you make an appointment and the wait for one hour and half . Try to book somewhere else

I am putting one star because I can't do zero! Actually let me take it back Dr. Nick Rogu is great & I wish he worked at a different facility so I can continue to take my kids to him but he doesn't.... the star is exclusively for him ONLY! The staff is rude & they never make anything convenient. I have been taken my kids for the pass 2+ years & after several annoying circumstances I'm done & ready to go elsewhere. For the most part it's usually a billing problem. On more than one occasion they would double bill me for stuff I already paid & after finding proof that I paid then they'll allow me to schedule an appointment which is super annoying cause when your kid is sick you don't know where your receipts are you just want your kids to be seen (lucky for me I kept them, which I usually don't but if you go here make sure you do!!!) What made me say this is it was when I called to schedule an appointment for my son & they wouldn't do it because my other son had a balance (mind you the balance was from 2 weeks before when he was hospitalized) & I never received anything (how could i ?? it was too soon.... I'm sure they didn't even get around to billing it .... I didn't even know it!) I explained that I could pay the next day (I was at work & didn't have my wallet) & if they can fax me the bill so i knew exactly what I was paying for .... she said they were too busy & couldn't fax me a bill & if I didn't pay they were gonna cancel my appointment for that day... that I can call back after I paid !!! Seriously ?! A week later I received a bill not just for the hospital charges but also with a $25 fee for "not showing up" to my appointment... but you told me you cancel my appointment cause I couldn't pay right then and there ... I would gladly had gone to my appointment if you let me !!!! If that wasn't enough his school nurse faxed over some paper work & called to follow up on them & they told her they couldn't fill it out because I had a balance & I never showed up to my appointment.....aaaah seriously??? Personal information (HIPPA LAW!!! you can't give private info to anyone but the parents!!!!) .... making it sound like I was a terrible parent for not taking my kid when he had to & on top of that delinquent on my account ??? (That's no ones business!!!!) I paid the balance & never will i ever step foot on that place again..... & you shouldn't either !!! & you decide to make sure to keep good records of payment etc cause they'll get you regardless if you pay or not !!!! read more

Ah, how to describe the hellhole that is RBK Pediatrics? I've been going here as a patient since I was a small child, and I really haven't noticed until recently how much of a terror this place is. Behind the facade of Disney themed wallpapers, and young female nurses, you find a disease ridden place where the sound of small children screaming drowns out the noise of Disney Junior from the old, rickety televisions hung on the walls. When one arrives for an annual physical, one usually finds the "Healthy" side of the lobby to not only be full of clearly sick individuals, but a wait hours after one's appointment. Then, one is handed the classical piss cup, where one is forced to sit in a grime covered bathroom, trying to hover over the toilet seat while dreading their inevitable attempt to wash their hands without soap, since this place hasn't heard of anything of the sort. When one finally finishes washing one's hands, one may believe this torture is over. But apparently not, since the hand dryer was built in 1948, by George Clemens himself, and barely does the job, not even to mention the lack of hand drying alternatives, causing one to leave the bathroom hands still sopping with non-soapy water. The health forms that are handed to parents are seldom explained by the nurses, who are too busy joking around to actually care about patients, causing parents to confusedly fill out forms meant for children to fill out. This does not even mention the fact that the mental health survey the children are meant to fill out is obviously taken out of an ineffective school curriculum packet from the 80's, causing confusion on the doctor and the patient's ends. The doctors themselves are supposed to be redeeming of the terrible office, right? Well, this office definitely cannot be redeemed by the doctors. One Dr. Lukose was increasingly annoying, not to mention her lack of listening skills. Sure, she may have had a stressful day, as I could hear babies screaming just around the corner, but that gives no excuse for being intolerant and a bad listener. The only redeeming doctor I've met so far is Dr. Stein. Finally, Not informing patients of the cost of a flu shot? Not cool. Not being prompt with your patients, making them wait hours only to get sicker after the visit? Not cool. Being intolerant and a bad doctor? Not Cool! Overall, do not go here unless you want to waste your money and time. read more

Was never satisfied with this place. If my son had medical issues I would have gone elsewhere long ago, but for the 1x a year physical I didn't bother. I went for a referral to a Dermatologist, and had a televisit for my son. Because I didn't have the money to pay for the visit (you know how the world has to pay everything since the insurance doesn't pay for anything until you clear a billion dollars in deductible) my remaining $60 balance went past due. I received a threatening letter stating "you are encouraged to find a new doctor within the next 30 days". I get it is a past due balance, I get they are entitled to the money, but in these times where people are struggling, to receive a letter like that? FOR $60? I guess they are not hurting for patients. Their bill is paid and I will no longer need their services. Thank you for the encouragement, it's just what I needed to find a better doctor. read more

We saw Dr. Stein today she went above and beyond to help myself and my son with a medical issue . The office staff is always changing but Maryann rocks ! We do not wait long and we are treated with kit gloves . Place is spotless , medical assistance kind and caring .We have been patients there for 10 years . Dr Nick of course is a great doctor , many places get bad reviews although RBK has some setbacks they have never ever given up on me or my children . I called to make an urgent care appointment for my 4 year old who had an 101.8 fever and was offered an appointment for later in the day. Once they found out I wasn't a current patient they denied to see my daughter. They really shouldn't call themselves urgent care. read more

They are a bunch of money hungry individuals. Aside, from the extremely rude staff, their doctors don't know nor remember most, if not all, their patients. You call in with a specific problem, they have not a clue about your child or what you are talking about. There is no personal care here. None!!! Everyone yeah yeah yeahs you...but God forbid you are a few minutes late for the worst service in town. I can only speak for both the Bayshore and Commack offices but bring back the good old days that pediatricians knew who their patients were. These people are only here to bleed your insurance...and go home and have lobster and steak with their families. Since this place became an Urgent Care, it is harder and harder to schedule an appointment during regular business hours. They prefer you go during Urgent care hours for higher Co Pay and the After hours code they bill for that insurances don't pay. This is why their flu clinics are on the weekend. So the can charge the after hours code and get a co pay applied to the well visit. If you do get an appointment during regular business hours. They will charge for an office visit. Again to get a Copay applied to a claim that normally does not have a copay. If the doctor feels the need or better giving the patients a quick look over that should be on them as they know the terms and agreements with the insurance companies and what should and shouldn't have a copay. To have my 3 kids get a flu shot during this current Pandemic I had to pay $90 in copay $30 each. The fact that a medical office. A place where doctors are suppose to care for patients is only out to make the most from the insurance companies and give the parents the highest out of pocket is so horrible. I have federal insurance and they pay well. So there is no need to try and milk every claim for every dime. read more

I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. It is always packed and you wait way to long for any visits. I never feel confident that my daughter has recieved proper and competent medical care walking out of there. What is making me change though is the HORRIBLE service my daughter got in January. She is 18 months old and had a 104 fever. I called to take her in immediately about 4 o clock, they said we have to wait until 530 pm. I started getting pissed so they said fine just bring her in. The place was PACKED as per usual (they double book, so if your appointment is at 1, don't expect to get in until 2), and my poor 104 degree fever daughter had to wait in a packed waiting room for at least a half hour. The "nurse" at the front desk a blonde old know it all tried telling me what the doc would say, as if a 104 degree fever in a child is NOTHING to worry about, because "she raised 4 kids" so obviously that's better than 8 years of medical school . We finally get into the room and they bring in a medical assistant that was TRAINING! My daughter had been there 3 days before and this guy is torturing her poking and proding to get her weight like it's the most serious thing. I understand it's routine but when you have a child with a 104 temp and you cant get it easily, you dont make the kid more upset and cry, especially when the weight was taken 3 days prior. Seriously? We had to finally be mean and tell him to please get out, and he goes to their break room and starts talking about how "mean" we are, thinking we were out of earshot. Finally after another 30 mins the doctor comes in and she was diagnosed with pneumonia. She got better. Just yesterday my daughter was getting a cold, it was a Friday and I called to make an appointment for Saturday. They told me " the computer does not let me make appointments for Saturday, it's only urgent care on that day." I said thats really weird but okay, brought my daughter in Saturday at 12, was told "oh you need an appointment, urgent care doesnt open until 2 and were already overbooked so youd be waiting awhile, so just come back at 2, and well make sure youre first" Screw that. We went to PM pediatrics in North Babylon. They gave an amazing thorough eval, were extremely gentle ( usually at RBK my daughter is terrified in tears by the time shes done) and also a proper diagnosis of the eczyma shes had on her back for months, which at RBK was diagnosed at ringworm. The doc at PM said it could be mistaken as ringworm, but they should have been able to see the difference, which also makes me question how well these doctors there are actually paying attention to their patient, and not just getting to the next appointment. It sucks because the office is literally right down the street from me, but I'd rather give up convenience for the confidence of knowing my child's doctor is taking the time to thoroughly examine my daughter, rather than booking as many patients as possible in order to increase profits. read more

Came in with my 14 month old who had a 103.5 temp in the rain and was turned away saying they only offer urgent care to existing patients and only from 6 to 9 pm. Why have a sign saying urgent care open when it's not available until 6 pm? read more

I only recommend this place if your seeing Dr. Nick or Dr. George as well as NP Cartwright.... otherwise save your time and go to a place where it doesn't take 45 minutes to be called in and you aren't there for 2 hours. read more

Horrible place to send your kids. I had an appointment and was on my way and ended up with a flat tire. I called rbk to tell them that my car was being fixed i should be there in 20 minutes. The lady who answered said no u cant come in so late. So now they put $25dollars for each child because of a missed appointment. I called when i got the bill and explained that i did try to reach out and they told me i should have called rbk before I got my car fixed. That's very disrespectful and rude to tell that to a client. So i told her she is an asshole now everyone wants to keep on calling me. So the billing department explained that she is going to remove the 50 dollars and i called yesterday because my daughter is feeling sick wheezing,projectal vomitting and these people telling me I am being dismissed from the practice due to non payment. So even though your child is sick they dont give a shit. All they care about is money and that's terrible. I am a nurse and i watch everything the doctors give and prescribe but honestly if you have no medical background dont trust this practice. I have to correct the doctors mant times. My son had a infection they gave my claritin. Im like can you give him antibiotic. Its all about money making and i cant expect anything better from the staff because they get paid terrible and thats why they have such a nonchalant and nasty attitude. Im tired of this practice and i will be reporting them to the department of health. U turn away a sick child for 50 dollars balance that they explained they would be getting rid of and then dismiss me without proper documentation or a valid reason. I dont care what is in the computer i am the customer if I am to tell them i never recieved the letter for dismissal why are they batteling me and l actting like im lying im to old to be lying. Its not like they pay my bills for me or they can beat me. Thats great lets give rbk a round of applause for being the worst pediatric office in long island. read more
