For three months the state of California was shut down because of covid. Therefore, no one could get service on their car. My Honda Pilot had a check engine light flashing and my D3 light kept blinking. I went to the dealership and the amount they quoted to do the repairs was almost what it would cost to purchase a new car. I took my car to RBS and it runs as good as new for less than $400. My 2015 Corolla was running like a 15 year old car and it lacked needed service. The car sometimes would hesitate to start. When I picked my car up from RBS it started up like it did when I got it brand new from the dealer. It only cost me $140 for repairs and a oil change with new filter. I thanked Mr. Salem for not only doing a fabulous job on both of my cars, but I thanked him for being honest and not taking advantage of me. I also, appreciated the fact that I was able to leave my car in front of his shop at 7 a.m.and dropping my keys through the door before heading to work. He had both of my cars ready (on different days) by my lunch time at 12 noon. His customer service skills were exceptional. He made follow-up calls to ensure the cars were okay. RBS told me they could fix my benz Cls 500. The dealer wanted 2700; ouch right? He assured me he could fix the problem with my air spring for 190.00+the part.. Yipeeee, Salem is the greatest, Or so I thought. Long story short my glee lasted about 1 day as my car had to go back 3 times in 2 weeks because the rear end of the car was slammed like a low rider. When they put the car on the rack and hoisted it up they took the tire off and the air spring just fell over. This is not good I said. Naw he said this is no problem Suffice to say the new part I bought from Walters Benz in Riverside was installed incorrectly by Salem. While he bad mouthed the dealer that they were liars and cheats, what I found out by an independent not Walters was he flat out blew the install of my air spring and popped the bag inside the air spring . The part was not defective as he vehimemtly insisted, he simply lacked the experience to do the repair correctly. He said he was smarter that the factory trained tech and they were dummies. His ego has cost me 2600.00 to fix my car. When I asked him to make good on the part that was a week old he refused and his parting words started with the letters F & Y and he hung up. So much for the nice guy he made me believe he was... and we used to be neighbors. Haa, go figure Take my advice if you have a late model car with computers DON'T take it to someone who is not factory trained. I'm out 1k more in parts and labor than the dealer was going to charge me, thinking Salem was this amazing bargain. Oh and one more thing the dealers don't curse you out when they screw up. They Man Up and fix the mistake, not blame everybody else. While I see 5 star ratings from everyone else,, my experience left a huge hole in my pocket, I for one cannot recommend anyone who is not trustworthy or misrepresents their abilities. read more

Brought my 06 GTI to RBS and I was very pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the quality of work and service displayed by Salem. He was able to locate the boost issue and get my car back to top shape within 24 hours. Reasonable pricing and great customer service. He even called a few days later and asked how I was doing with the car. I'm lucky to have found such a good mechanic and trustworthy person. Other mechanics didn't want to touch my boost issue but Salem took care of it and had me back on the road in a timely manner. I mostly deal in older muscle cars. Salem is the best in the business. My first visit. I had a 66 GTO that was worked on by another mechanic. The car needed things gone over that were supposed to have been fixed. Salem and his son Alex cleaned up several large issues on my GTO. Since then I have brought a total of five cars in a one years time. Next visit Im going to bring in my 1973 Charger.... Reliability, price and service all are here. Unfortunately I don't go here very often because Salem actually fixes my car! He's very reasonably priced, he's polite and calls to check in and give status updates and this time it was to tell me he was done after only 90 minutes, I had to wait for my lunch hour tho to pick up my car. He's patient in explaining the problems and has in the past shown me the damaged parts he takes off my car and replaces with new I love that I can trust him with my car, I leave there satisfied every time. I recently found RBS automotive and so happy that I did. I work in education for a local college in San Bernardino close to RBS. One day on the way home I noticed a sign off the 215 freeway advertising RBS. I decided to give them a try on one of my vehicles, 2013 Toyota Corolla LE. It was suffering from a check engine and traction control light on. With the car running so well I was hoping to find someone who could get the job done right and not take advantage of me. Since I also have my own business trading vehicles it's super imperative that the mechanics I work with know what they're doing, as well as offer competitive pricing. The mechanics I regularly use are quite a distance, so I had been praying for someone more local. Prayers answered when I met the owner Mr. Salem! He was friendly and patient as I explained to him what was going on with the lights. I also explained I had my own pocket scanner and provided him the codes. He took about 30 minutes looking over the car as well as researching online what the issue could be. He explained to me it could be a number of things, but felt it might be the purge valve. I had already did my own research to find out that the issue could be one of a number of different things, which worried me because it could become quite costly. At no time did Salem try to pressure me so I decided to set an appointment to bring the car back the following day for him to get to work. The next day I dropped it off and received a call about 4 hours later with the best news ever "your car is all don and should have no problem passing smog". I was excited, but to be honest skeptical. From my experience I knew the car still needed to be ran 50 + miles to determine if the light would come back. Knowing that was the real test I drove the car 50 miles and the light never came back, it was fixed! The issues ended up being electrical wires that broke in the trunk from excessive slamming. It would of been so easy for Salem to tell me it was the purge valve, then the canister, then other things. Instead he was able to pin point the issue after taking his time to trouble shoot. He ran some electrical tests after and a smoke test, very impressive. What he charged me was very reasonable. I've already sent him another vehicle, 2010 Sentra which he also did a great job on (separate issue). Salem is very knowledgeable and quick! He's my new go to guy for all my vehicles.
