I am willing to drive down from the pass to get my car services done here. I noticed other Yelpers report driving from the low desert to get car care here. I think they have the right idea. My husband has been here to get his brakes done and few other places too. I've never been happy after each maintenance visit with other mechanics. I noticed that the other shops are less concerned with preventative car care. The same way that you get preventative care with a physician, your car should have the same done so that you don't establish huge issues later on down the road. I was very impressed with Esteban! He was very informative and let us know of some areas of concern that he identified while doing a simple brake change. Honestly all points that he brought up were areas that I felt needed to be addressed as well. Our last mechanic never told us any of this info and seemed to brush us off as if he didn't want the work. I'm officially divorcing my old mechanic! ProShop Auto is the place to go! Their customer service is awesome and girls, they explain things so we can understand them if you need them to dumb it down a bit. I've used them on 2 separate occasions. The first time it was on a Camry that kept throwing a check engine light for an oxygen sensor. No other shop could figure it out; they kept changing out oxygen sensors. Turns out it was the injectors that were not spraying correctly. The second visit was for a simple oil service on my wife's Sienna, but the level of detail, & the photos conveyed that the car needed much more in maintenance. They got me for a transmission & power steering fluid exchange, but given the photo evidence they showed me, I feel better that I did it. These guys aren't the cheapest, but competent mechanics & the attention to detail deserve the slightly higher prices they ask for. read more

I would like to say I've received two services from This establishment. They are all courteous, professional and fair. As a female who does not know a whole lot about vehicle maintenance I have to google everything, just to make sure I'm not being "taken" I have to say I feel they are totally trustworthy and have taken very good care of me. They have exceptional communication when it comes to letting me know what's happening with my car and what I need. They conduct a REAL full car inspection, complete with pictures and work approval before they initiate work. Probably the best automotive repair in SoCal and definitely the best in the I.E. Estaban and his team are passionate about caring for customers and their cars! I love the fact that it's a family owned and operated business! They treat everyone like family here and have fair prices too. I drive a high mileage SUV (over215k) that myself and my service dog and my family depend on daily; the Proshop keeps us safe and sound on the roads. The building has great local history and fun decor. There are also a few food options and a dollar tree within walking distance. As with professional service appointments are encouraged and I usually try to plan ahead and schedule one; but on the occasion I have had to drop in during a busy time with last minute car troubles and this amazing team still managed to squeeze us in. I found this car shop through CarMax's recommended local car shops from their website. CarMax's warranty still applied to my car so I figured I could go to Proshop Automotive since I would be still covered. The main reason why I went over to Proshop was because CarMax's car repair shop was very busy at the time. My 2014 Mazda 6 was built with a manual transmission and I had issue with my clutch. I had my clutch replaced earlier in January 2019, but it started slipping again come time in December 2019. A year was too soon for a clutch to go out especially with only 20,000 miles driven on it. I spoke to Jose and he let me know that same day I could bring my car in, which was a Monday. He was very easy to talk to and let me know that he was going to try his best to get my CarMax warranty to cover my clutch repair job. Since they needed time to look at my car, he ordered me an Uber to get to where I needed to be on the house. He got back to me that same day and told me that since it was a wear and tear issue, CarMax cannot cover me for the repair job. However, the mechanic doing the inspection did notice it was odd that the clutch wore out so quickly. The mechanic let Jose know all of the observations he noticed during the inspection and his conclusion that whoever installed the clutch in January did a bad job. He noticed that the clutch flywheel was sanded with the incorrect tool and the wrong lube was used for the ball baring. The unevenness of the flywheel surface caused substantial premature wear on the clutch. Jose told me that all he could do was note it the observations on the invoice and send pictures of the worn out clutch stuff installed from January. Within a span of 3 days of communicating with CarMax on this issue, Jose was always available in informing me the progress of my car's clutch repair from the disassembly to the resurfacing of the flywheel to the installment of the OEM Mazda clutch. He sent me any pictures I requested and also went as far as talking in a 3-way phone call with the manager of CarMax's car shop. In the end, CarMax reimbursed me with the cost of the new repair job. I noticed that after my car was fixed, Proshop installed new pins under my car to hold the plastic protectors under my car. Before I took out the car from their shop to go home, the mechanic took me for a drive in my car to show how it drove. The shifting and drive was smooth as if I got it brand new. I am very happy with my experience with the help I got from Proshop automotive and I would recommend them to any one who need car repair. read more
