Always quality work and at a good price. I've had brake work and oil changes and they have never let me down

He was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and not pushy for additional services. He went above & beyond in calling local parts houses, even Walmart, looking to source the wipes. However, this time my experience was extremely frustrating. I spent 45 minutes waiting for a simple oil change. During that time, an employee attempted to upsell additional services, but I declined and requested only the oil change. After about 40 minutes, I went outside to ask how much longer it would take. A younger Hispanic man told me it was done and that they were just completing a safety inspection. When I went back inside and looked out the window, I saw that no safety inspection was being performed. This aggravated me because if I'm stepping outside to ask for an update, it's clear I'm already growing impatient. After several minutes of no safety inspection being done, he finally collected my payment. He then told me I could back my car out myself. Normally, they always pull my car to the front, but this time he didn't. When I asked if he could pull it up, he responded that he didn't have to, but he would. I found this extremely rude, especially since that level of service has always been the standard at this location. I went outside and told him not to worry about it. Then I realized my key had never been handed to me. After looking around, I found it sitting in the drink holder. This upset me even more because he didn't hand me my key or even tell me where it was left. I am very understanding of customer service workers, and I am usually patient. However, the treatment and lack of care I received from this staff member were unacceptable. I spoke to a manager, and she stated she would address the issue. I truly hope a conversation is had regarding his customer service and overall professionalism.

It's amazing they lasted as long as they did. They were grossly incompetent and tried to add not-needed parts and services to the bill once they got your car apart. The finest skill they offered was gouging the customer.

The most recent episode was simply infuriating because they changed good parts, didn't fix the noise, and recommended seven repair actions the car does not need, and I didn't ask them to look at that in the first place. The car is GM and has 50,000 original miles on it. It's tight, and it's never been hit, and the wear on it looks like 50,000 miles. There was a bumping noise is the right strut which I still have. I drove it with the manager and he said he knew what it was. I get a call about four hours later that it needs a lower control arm. I was skeptical about that but I went over and looked at it, and let them replace it. That's when the "pick the chicken" procedure was unleashed on me. Their technician reports cracks in the belt, recommends fill and flush the brake fluid and power steering fluid, the cabin air filter, and he's telling me there's play in my tie rod ends. They have already disassembled the car, and he's trying to convince me they can't take it to the alignment shop with play in the tie rod ends. They were quite disappointed with me when I would not agree to as much as a dime more than we had talked about. When they told me they can't align it without new tie rod ends I told them just put it back together and I'll take care of the alignment. We don't change brake fluid or power steering fluid, period. My 1995 car still has it's original fluids in both of those systems. The serpentine belt on this car is in very good condition, and those things are known for living 100,000 miles. So what if there's cracks in it? The cabin air filter doesn't do anything to begin with, but it was changed a couple months back. It was very obvious to me this is an effort to gouge the gullible customer who doesn't know what's going on under the hood. I spent $400 on a lower control arm that didn't remedy my noise, and had to put up with this other song and dance about 10 things I did not ask them to look at. I really didn't appreciate the efforts to force me to buy more steering parts citing it can't be aligned if I don't. I got the car home and went over their recommended list and found everything normal for a 50,000 mile car. Particularly the engine belt - if there were cracks in it they are supposed to be there because inspecting it proves up this car does not need any such thing. I never asked them to check the car over or to go plundering through it looking for things to sell the customer. I asked them to remedy a noise, which they didn't, and they changed a good part with no trouble on it resulting in more labor actions to bring the car back into spec when it wasn't out of spec to begin with. This is the third time I've given this shop a chance and they charged me a lot and didn't fix anything. They are very prone to taking wild guesses when they don't know what to do and charging the customer for it. They charged me a whole lot to go into the engine on another car and it too came home with the same problem I took to them in the beginning. The handwriting is on the wall that I need to stay out of there. But, what roasts me the most is their attempt to oversell everything, and to see how many dollars they can extract from the gullible. There should be legal penalties for that and unfortunately there is none. Even though access to them is easy, they never fix anything, and I've got to remember better going forward. IF you replace a bunch of good parts the customer never knows that what was removed was in plenty good enough shape and didn't need anything. Cracks in the belt doesn't mean anything. Dirty brake fluid doesn't mean anything. I don't know what criteria is used to tell the customer they need to change the power steering fluid, but whatever it is I'm guaranteed is junk science. My other car is 25 years old with the same power steering fluid it was given at birth. This is a bunch of nice people, but their motivations, and their morals are all in the wrong place. It used to be a bunch of good technicians from Barbara's Texaco, but every one of those techs has left, and it's evident. Don't go there.

The customer service of JD garage was EXCELLENT! The guy who answered my call and helped me through was SO helpful (I think his name is Imad), he had me email them a picture of what was wrong, got back to me with a reasonable quote and got it replaced for me, and the entire process was SO smooth! I have definitely sang praises of this garage to my coworkers all day, and I will be hands down switching to JD for all my auto repairs/ maintenances from now on! Thank you guys SO SO MUCH!

There is nothing wrong with my converter. JD Garage lifted my car, tightened two loose screws, and the rattle disappeared, not joking. I feel bad walking away for free, but they will absolutely get my return business. That level of service is just unheard of in this day of age. I recommend, %. More than just because it was free, but because it didn't have to be. They would rather want business than screw someone over. Thank you guys very much.
