Okay so this Yelp is for the service department. Have never bought a car here, but have used their service dept a few times. First off, they set appointments so you can be sure not to have to wait. This time our oaner car was a brand new, 4 miles on the odo, VW Jetta. Since we were dropping off a Jetta, was a good move I am sure is to get us hooked. It is my sons car, so it was his loaner. Nice move giving up the loaner with no begging, no prompting, and no hassle. Service associate gave me a good run down since I had previously had the car at a specialty shop, and they referred me to Autobahn for the parts that were dealer parts. Gave me a good estimate for the work. I looked it up on Amazon, and other web sites to get comparisons. They came out $300 under my best quote and best search. Well the Hurricane that hit Florida, hit me, the VW part supplier they use is based in Florida, so there was a delay, but they called me to keep me informed and give me options. Hey, we had a free loaner, let it ride fellas, let it ride for five years if you want. But the part came in, the car was fixed, and even then still came in an additional $77 over what they previously quoted me. They even recharged my a/c at no additional charged. This is not to say that is the typical scenario, but we had to wait an additional week due to their parts being delayed, so they went a few extra miles to make up for it, without being prodded or poked. Uncommon service from a Dealer. You can find this with your garage mechanics, but not usually with a dealer, and this was a rare pleasure. Car was even washed and vacuumed at pick up. So fresh and so Clean Clean Clean. Be well Yelpers. Took my VW Atlas in for a warranty replacement of my catalytic converter, and came out with dashboard lights emitting that weren't there when I took it in. After purchasing a battery did not need but was told I did, they're now saying my instrument panel needs replaced and will be $3200 plus. I have pictures of my dashboard when I brought it it and after I picked it up. TOTALLY different. No help from the CEO Brendan Harrington. Took no responsibility for his technicians inadequate and I'm left with a vehicle that has only half of its safety devices working. read more

I went and looked at a VW Jetta, and always ask for the out the door price. This exposed that this dealership adds in several additional fees on top of the listed price. These include the installation of unnecessary equipment and even a percentage to pay the salesman on top of the asking price. Please beware of these additional fees. If I hadn't asked for the out the door price, I would not have seen these until I was signing and they would likely have been buried in a mountain of paperwork. read more

We recently bought a 2023 VW GTI from Autobahn. We LOVE our car. Autobahn? Not so much. We made an effort to make our car buying experience reasonably pleasant and "above board" by being transparent, responsive, and decent with Autobahn. (E.g., (a) We took minimal amount of their time -- and didn't even visit the dealership!; (b) We paid a $5k deposit within two days of our first call with them; (c) We wired the balance within another two days; and (d) We took delivery within one week after that.) If only Autobahn had responded in kind. This is how Autobahn treated us: #1: Autobahn mailed our license plates to the wrong address. #2: Once the sale was complete, Autobahn's salesperson and GM ghosted us - and wouldn't reply to a few simple questions sent by email. #3: Autobahn requires its customers to pay $797 for "F&I Products" - which is apparently some sort of inventory control device that Autobahn wants on its cars so it knows where the cars are on its lot - and wants its customers to pay for the device, even if you don't want it. (How about a $19 AirTag?!) But the device wasn't of any value or interest to us. This mandatory item wasn't disclosed on the advertised price - as if a mandatory $797 item is an inconsequential, immaterial sum that Autobahn thinks isn't worth disclosing along with the sales price. #4: Before we bought the car, we told Autobahn that we'd not buy the car unless they promised to not spam us. They promised to not spam us - and so we bought the car. You know what's next, right? They spammed us - immediately and repeatedly. Since they sent us spam in violation of our pre-emptive opt-out and in violation of their subsequent promises to stop spamming, we believe that their spam was illegal. Autobahn turned our buying experience into a stereotypical low rent used car buying experience that you've seen a gazillion times in cartoons and comedies. It didn't have to be that way; but that's apparently the Autobahn way. read more

The Autobahn service departments are the biggest sham of any entity I've ever encountered. Every visit for a normal service like oil change is accompanied with $5k to 10k in other "failed" areas needing service. bought a new 2024 Tiguan for my son and the dealership was very clean and the staff was good BUT you had to buy the car their way I was willing to pay cash but was told I would loose the $2500 discount and I had no say so on this if it wasn't for the look of my son I would have walked away but it was the color he wanted and no one else in the area had it last night I went to Principle and bout a car for my daughter because of the way Autobahn was they're not a bad dealership but it's their way most people will not pay cash very few of people do they need to rethink this because they lost a sell on the second car but like like I said it's a very nice facility and 90% will love it read more

This is a AUTOBAHN VW SERVICE DEPARTMENT review. And ONLY for VW. As an aside we've had great experiences with the Volvo service department at Autobahn on White Settlement Road. Not so much at the VW Service department. We brought in our 2016 Passat to have an airbag recall item resolved, which they took care of without incident. They returned the car to us with the airbag light still on. They offered to diagnose the airbag issue for $180, at which point then we'd be told what was wrong and what the repair cost would be. Again, the car was literally JUST IN THE SHOP to repair the AIRBAG recall issue. Nope. No flexibility, no logic, no understanding. Their stance: We repaired the airbag recall issue, and to have us lift a pinkie to see if anything additional is wrong with the airbag, that'll be $180. Lovely folks, polite and totally nonsensical. Take your car down the road to Tim's German Auto and tell Autobahn VW to shove it. Last point, take a look at my reviews...mostly 4 & 5 stars. I'm not a whiner or complainer, but I do call out nonsense when I experience it. read more

Very bad service. Made an appointment to tint windows on the car, was given at 3:30pm time. When I arrived they said it would take the whole day and couldn't provide a car either. I'm disappointed that my car past services was not recorded in Carfax. Last year I took my car in for an oil change and another time for warranty service. Both have not been recorded in Carfax. They whole idea about taking my car into a dealership to get an oil change is because I want the services recorded. To be honest I can change the oil myself and it would be faster and cheaper using original filter and synthetic oil. Now that I'm trying to sell my car the buyer found no record of it ever been services at this dealership. Other dealership and independent shop services show up a few day after I got my car serviced. I suggest you guys check your Carfax for any past services from this dealership, if they are not recording the service you should go to another dealership. From the second I walked in the door to have them repair an oil leak they were already trying to up sell me on more repairs, spark plugs etc. which is hilarious since after they first "fixed" the leak it was still leaking three days later only this time the check engine light is now coming on. it kinda seems like they thought if I would not consent to additional services then their repairs was going to continue to evolve. if this shady business tactic wasn't bad enough they have had my car for over a month and have not even started the repairs. they are also very flippant and act put out when they are asked to do their job. with all these parts on back order and no repairs going on around the shop you would think they would have more time to provide better customer service but even still they seem too busy to do anything but try and get you to drop more money on repairs they don't even have the inventory to compete. deplorable and shady. read more

This review is for the service department. My Taos has had the check engine light come on and go off repeatedly. It's always the vent valve in the exhaust system. Richard, the service manager, has been nothing but exceptional. The last time this happened my daughter had her driving test scheduled in three days. I called Richard and asked if they could please make sure the vehicle would be okay for her to get her driving test in. We were in and out and fixed in a day and a half with a loaner. When I brought the loaner back I had left my garage door opener over the visor, they overnighted it to me. Jesus and Richard provide stellar customer service. I won't go anywhere else. read more

Both times they marked that everything checked out well and within days my tire blew out while on the highway and within a week or so my brakes were grinding. I hate writing reviews, but the horrible experience I had with this dealership needs to be put out there so nobody else goes through what I went through. If you end up purchasing a car from here, do not work with Jaylen Williams. He ran my credit 4 times, after he promised me that he'd only run it once. He then followed up by telling me that his finance manager could write a letter to get the hard inquires off(which was October 25th). I texted him on Saturday (November 5th) to ask what the status of the letter is, and he left me on 'read.' I called the dealership on Tuesday (11/6) to speak with him, after he ignored my third follow up text, and he told me that his manager told him that he could not write the letter. I asked him why didn't he let me know about that decision, and why did he lie to me about the letter and he gave me a bs answer. Do yourself a favor, and stay away from this dealership at all costs. There are better Volkswagen dealerships in other cities in Texas. These people are liars and are horrible people. they will take advantage of you, if you let them. My car was put in service and repairs were made in the time frame he had said. He took his time with getting all the questions I had While waiting for my ride a very nice salesman, Oscar stopped to visit. I told him I needed to get someone to help me with my car play. He said he would get with Kenneth and when they finished with my car he would get it up by sales dept and show me what I needed. I got my phone paired and questions answered. I had 2 shops tell me it's the water pump on a 21 JETTA. the car is under warranty so they tell me it's ok to lose some fluids but your brakes are really bad you need to replace that. ummm no how about fixing my car instead of trying to rob you're customer. After two long trips to this dealership, here are the observed facts: Frustrating and confusing customers. Not being transparent to them and treating them unprofessionally. Also, they are not not organized. I will never give another try at VW and more specifically this dealership. Here is my complete story: After VW Emission Scandal, I thought VW wanted a strong comeback to the US market with their first electric car so I made a reservation for ID.4. Upon reservation, VW announced pre-set pricing, I liked the idea of eliminating pricing haggling and such at dealerships. Apparently, it was ONLY for luring customers; totally bait and switch.They did add more than $1500- extra fees and charges on top of the so-called pre-set price Upon the arrival of my car, I contacted this dealership to get started to final steps of purchasing/leasing the car. I reached them several times, every time, they made excuses to delay my first visit to the dealership. On my first visit, they spent too much time to prepare the paper showing financial details for purchase or lease options. The papers did not show details to me, I literally had to beg them to disclose the financing details to me. And last but not the least, the trade-in offer was more than 5000 less the KBB and other established car appraisals. Apart from the horrible experience at this dealer. Here are my reviews on ID.4: Compared with Telsa Model Y Standard Range, ID.4 is more sluggish and heavier.. ID.4 body looks more elegant. Standard Range Model Y is $4000 less expensive. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, take the extra thirty minute drive to the Arlington location purely based off of terrible customer service/ a lack there of. I pulled into the service building at 8 AM this morning and was not acknowledged by anyone although there was a female representative there chatting it up with a male coworker. I sit in my car for about five minute before getting out to to find someone inside. Upon entry, every desk is filled and every attendant is staring at their screens. I stand around for a minute or so before venturing off to another part of the building to find some help. A young man at a desk greeted me and told he will go back to the area I was waiting at to get someone to help me with setting up an oil change. The attendant I was taken to couldn't be bothered to smile or welcome me as a brand new customer and proceeded to call his call center to schedule an appointment. I declined scheduling and went down the street to Kwik Kar. So much for wanting to take your car to its specific dealership expecting top tier service since it is their BRAND. This was one of the worst experiences I have had at a car dealership. The saleswoman I worked with, Cyarra, through the initial process was the best. I enjoy working with her very much. She was friendly, helpful, understanding and really helped me narrow down my chocies to a car I truly was ready to buy. Especially after hearing reviews of how great customer service this Autobahn Volkswagen dealership has and how friendly their team is, really made me want to be a part of the "autobahn family". However, this was not the case when I had to work with Cyarra's manager, George. George was very disrespectful, and provided unnecessary personal comments through the finance process. He was very rude and made me feel like I was being taken advantage of after giving me a very low estimate on the price of my trade in car. He even told me that I should call up Kelley Blue Book and trade my car through them, cause that would be better for him. At one point when I said I needed to discuss the offer over, he told me I should not discuss this, "I buy and sell cars for a living, so I know what's best." In the end I felt very pressured by him, and felt he did not have the respect or customer service that he should be giving to someone who was serious in doing business with them. Came in for an oil change and tire rotation . Jesus helped me out and gave great information on things on I had questions on . Inside everything is very very clean ! The have a refreshments station that is greatn kid friendly foods , hot chocolate and coffee and some finger snacks (m&ms, peanuts exc) they have sodas as well and an awesome waiting area with comfortable chairs and a kids area that is also super clean with crayons and coloring pages along with a tv in there on a kids Chanel . I have taken my CC to Autobahn Volkswagen for about a year for maintenance and repairs. The technicians are very knowledgeable and friendly, they are very fairly priced, had they will get your car back to you in a very reasonable amount of time. I live in Odessa, but my parents live in Fort Worth, so I somehow manage to make weekend trips coincide with scheduled maintenance. The last two times I've taken my car to Autobahn, my card was declined. Both times, I had more than enough money in my bank account. The first time, I had to call my dad and ask if he would come down to the dealership and try his card, since I don't carry cash. His card was also declined, even though there was enough money in the account. He ended up having to write a check, which their machine accepted. While I was waiting for my car to be pulled up, another lady's card got declined, even though I'm willing to bet she had enough money in her back amount. This last time, my card was declined, and the cashier (same girl as last time) asked if I've been spending a lot of money, as that will cause a bank to decline a card. I said that I haven't been spending more than usual, and that the same thing had happened last time, with multiple people. She seemed completely uninterested in considering that their machine was malfunctioning. Again, I called my dad, and had him bring some cash I had left in his car. When I walked back up to the cashier, she asked if my bank had contacted me. After I said that they hadn't, she sheepishly said, "Oh, maybe it's our system then." Next time I'll take my vehicle to a place that I'm more certain will have a functioning POS machine. read more

We bought our Jetta from here and now get said Jetta serviced there. In buying a car here, they were pretty good. The salesman was nice, although we did have to play all of the usual car dealership games. Mainly it's that killer back and forth to talk with the "manager", but once I threatened to walk out we got past it. For service, I've been very happy. They offer loaner cars, are fairly priced and so far haven't pushed for anything unnecessary. If you rate them on Google they will knock $25 off too. I love that I can just take my Jetta in every 10k miles and get everything I need done. I definitely recommend it here. We love our Jetta and don't hate the experience of getting service done.
