Poor communication and what seems like a predatory and systematic scheme to get students to pay more in program costs. They advertise a year-long program with clinical work but they have a 6 month time-limit. If the program is not finished in 6 months they require re-enrollment. The problem is that it's impossible to finish in 6 months bc clinical work is not available or has a long waiting list. read more

I recently completed my EMT-B through RcHealth. With that being said I would NOT recommend this company to anyone and will be avoiding it in the future. The absolute lack of organization, professionalism, and student support is absolutely unreal. To start my class did not have a dedicated teacher for the first 2 months, the instructors that were "stand ins" told us they filled this class before ever finding an instructor for the class. Second the student support is an absolute joke, if you email it takes 3-5 days to answer, if you call them out for wrong doing on their part they won't answer the email at all, funny enough two of my class mates needed to pay for a course extension and they got a response the same day... so when it comes to money they will answer but when it comes to support they don't answer. Lastly their in person classrooms are the worst I've ever been to, they give you a skills sheet but don't have 80% of the equipment on the skills sheet. I feel like by going to RChealth for my EMT I was robbed of a good education. I have many more horror stories with RChealth but it won't fit in the review. I will end this with some advise, DO NOT attend RChealth if you want to be prepared for a career in EMS or fire. read more

I have been renewing my ACLS and BLS with RC Health Services for 12 years. Renewal is every 2 years so 6 times. I am happy they have Saturday classes so I don't need to take off of work during the week. The classes are engaging, and informative. My latest instructor, Paulie, was very good. He definitely made it easier to learn and added real life experience. A few days after my class, I communicated with Angie at the corporate office and she was very helpful in obtaining my online ecards. Usually would have them right after class, but the office person was out. Angie made sure I had my ecards a couple of days later. I hope they continue to teach the classes. I plan to bring my family to learn BLS and first aid for summer camp. Thanks read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. TERRIBLE - HORRIFIC. They scammed my son by telling him everything they would offer - on line support for any issues, easy enrollment and course completion. None of it was true. First they enrolled him in the wrong course. When he made multiple attempts to get someone to help him he got no response. I called and got someone on the phone who said "oh my God are you freaking serious like why are you calling me the student is supposed to send an email". After about a very lengthy conversation of giving her the same attitude she gave me it was determined they made an error and they attempted to fix it by putting him in the right course. After that call my son was beside himself. The rudeness, lack of responses, inaccuracy of the course enrollment was too much for him to handle. He decided this was not the right place for him. We shared that with the school and they refused to refund. Do not sign their fine print docs that say no refunds. They are Horrible and don't have the students best interest in mind. read more

I tried taking my course here during peak of covid and to start with, the instructor was not the best. They had to switch her out in the middle of our course because she did not know how to use google meet or even teach us properly. On top of this, some of the instructors were extremely rude when I needed help to reschedule exams and what not. They would yell at me on the phone, give me attitude. When I went to a session that was required, the instructor asked me a question and I wasn't sure I knew it and she yelled at me and embarrassed me in front of everyone in the class. It just startled me a lot to be quite honest because this is supposed to be a place where they educate others and in order to educate others, it's important to uplift and be patient. I took classes here in late 2021 and every time I look back at my experience, it was pretty negative due to the rudeness and how dysfunctional it was. Hopefully they got better instructors by now and I understand there is "assertiveness" in the EMT culture, but they were straight up rude. Don't get me wrong, there were great instructors but the rude ones made my experience bad. read more

Read their policy, they will not refund you your money back. Per terms when you click yes you are agreeing to these conditions. With everything going on they can't be flexible. I should have just went with the college I'm going to. I understand that it is my fault but the company just made 75$ to do absolutely nothing. Enjoyed the instructors for my BLS course and actually learned a lot, compared to other BLS courses I've taken. However, I find it unacceptable that I had to send them an email to remind them to send me my BLS Certification. I'm used to getting a BLS card that same day. We are now almost two weeks from the course and my significant other hasn't even received his at all. We took the same course! read more

I do not recommend that you use this place for your ACLS or BLS certification. Signed up for an online ACLS recertification. Very poor directions on the website. They gladly took my money, and then failed to let me in the class. Come the day of the class, nobody answers when called. Left several messages, 1.5 hours later (oh we are sorry, we will try to catch you up). Asked for refund. Similar problem 2 years ago with initial ACLC class, shows they are not even trying to fix the problem. read more

I had to get certified in BLS for Healthcare Providers for nursing school, and I chose RC because their schedule of classes fit with my schedule at the time. I'm glad this is where I ended up. This was a Monday morning, so the class was small, but because of this I was able to enjoy more attention from the instructor and the skills tests we had to do went by very quickly. Go to their website and check out the schedule of classes for what you need/want to get certified in. Sign up for the class, and then you have the option of paying online or paying when you arrive for the class. However, the site states that paying online guarantees your seat for the class, so if you were going to pay in person and it's a popular slot for the class, you might have to reschedule (as far as I understand it, anyway). The cost of the course was very fair. It was slightly less than the other companies I had looked at, and if you didn't have the AHA manual needed for the course, you could add it on for $10. It was a nice resource to take notes in and bring home should I wish to reference any of the procedures later on. We were shown the most up-to-date AHA videos, pausing at regular intervals to practice on dummies (which were in great shape, much newer and nicer than the ones I used in health class in high school). As we practiced the instructor watched us to correct our technique and give tips, and provided important things to remember and things he had learned in his many years working in healthcare (I believe he said he'd been a medical assistant and an EMT for years in addition to teaching). We had two skills tests and a short multiple choice test at the very end. The only problem I ran into this day was that they happened to be out of AHA cards for the moment, but the instructor remedied this by contacting the main office (in Houston, I think?) and having them put our cards in the mail that day in addition to emailing us scanned copies of them in case we needed them immediately. Small problem, great solution. I had already received the email by the time I got back to Pflugerville. By far the best part of my experience was the instructor. James was very easy-going and absolutely hilarious. He was very knowledgeable and knew how to keep the attention of a class. He made a class that I feared might be otherwise boring very interesting and even entertaining. A great teacher really does make all the difference. read more

Their customer service policy is ridiculous when it comes to rescheduling and cancelations. They require a weeks notice, even if the class is scheduled less than a week before the class time. What a waste of money! Also, took a week and two phone voicemails to get a callback. read more

I've been using RC Health for awhile but in Houston. It's nice to know that the quality of instructors is just as high in Austin. Serena is helpful and hilarious. RC Health has tons of classes so it's easy to schedule a class even if you're cutting it close to your expiration dates. Also their staff is quick to respond to questions. I highly recommend them! read more
