they're crooks, came out and did the work with no contract in place after I asked multiple times to see paperwork on the job, told me the tree removal would be $3500, and the tarp for the roof would be $950.00, after work was completed they said we will send over a contract for you to sign for the job, I said I asked for that before the job began, Eddie stated that he had been busy and couldn't get it to me, I said no big deal, send it over, once I received the email, he jacked both prices up, the tree removal to $6900 and the tarp cost to $1200, for a total of $8100, when we agreed to $4450, in addition to that, they destroyed a piece of my pack patio concrete with their payloader, which will cost me even more money to fix. I asked why did the price go up so much, that wasn't what we talked about and agreed upon, I was told that your insurance is willing to pay it, it won't be any money out of your pocket, so let's not worry about it, I said it is money out of my pocket because the insurance company sent me the check to pay the contractors. I feel like I'm being cheated and scammed, I will only be paying what we agreed upon, I still haven't signed any paperwork/contract, and won't be signing it unless it's the price that we shook on initially, if not we can meet in court, and let the lawyers decide what's owed. read more

Called RCI on the recommendation of several of my neighbors. Roofer came out for inspection and did not bring a ladder that was tall enough to get on the roof. He told me he would come by tomorrow and take a look and send me an estimate. Okay that's fine. I follow up with the roofer after a week has gone by and he told me he would have the estimate to me by the end of the day. Check my email the following day and nothing. Radio silence after that. I want to recognize Raul and his crew for a fast, top quality job on replacing my roof. The process was easy, they worked with my insurance company on the claim and got to work within 5 days of getting the approval. Work was completed in two days in spite of a serious rainstorm that literally blew through while the crew was working. They slowed down some but didn't stop, once the rain passed they changed into dry clothes and went back to work. The foreman kept me informed of the progress and all the crew was polite and courteous. I noted some minor issues on the roof, not caused by the roofer but previously installed drain covers. The owner came out personally with a technician on Sunday and realigned all my gutters. Great quality roof and customer service. There is very little to say positive about this company except the receptionest and other employees are courtest. The owner Raul and I clashed on more than one occasion and I found him rude. RCI is all about money and not keeping the client happy. This was after Hurrican Harvey and when Raul first came out he immediately said " you need a new roof". Both myself and the insurance company disagreed. What work they did do on our roof was over priced and not done correctly. RCI Roofing put on a new roof and made repairs to the interior of my home due to water damage; however it was not done correctly. It has been an ongoing nightmare with them. I have pictures showing the plywood does not meet at the top of the ridge (about a 3'x5' hole), but they will not complete the job correctly and water continues to come inside. I'm very thankful to RCI-roofing for their prompt response and quality service. During recent heavy rain, we discovered that our three turbine vents on our roof had aged and began to leak at the center spindle. Also, the fume vent to our central-heat furnace had a slow trickle leak because the vent cap was from the original build. When we called RCI-roofing, the owner understood the nature of the problem and likely what would be needed to fix it and he quickly dispatched a crew to our home to help mitigate the leaks and perform a complete assessment. Since it was still raining, the crew temporarily bagged the vents to prevent further leaking into our roof and was able to get the replacement vents and materials to facilitate repairs the next day. Early the next day, the crew replaced the turbine vents with an updated design of the same and was also able to replace the fume vent on the central-heat furnace with a more updated one. From start to finish, RCI-roofing provided courteous prompt response and professional workmanship to address our problem leaks. We cannot thank the owner enough for responding so quickly and the crew for such thorough and professional workmanship. read more
