We really had high hopes given the reviews, but we did NOT receive a 5 star experience, which was really disappointing. We wanted to move an existing TV from our living room to our 3 season room. And then buy and mount a new TV over the fireplace. We called Brendan who came out for a consultation. The quote seemed reasonable, and he said it would take 4 hours. 8 1/2 hours later, they left the job unfinished (see pics). With 3 kids, having our living room a mess was very challenging. The day started promising enough, when Rich and Anthony showed up pleasant, diligent, and competent. Anthony quickly mounting the TV in the 3 season room meeting every expectation. The crew went from two, to three...with the addition of Eric, and then to one as Rich was left alone to finish. In order to mount the new TV, they would need to cut a hole in the drywall to conceal the wires, and re-paint (with paint I provided that matched the old paint really well). My wife and I asked, as it seemed it might go beyond the four hour quote how things were going....after all, sometime projects go a bit long. We were told, "it's going good, we're getting there" Then, 8 1/2 hours later, we were told that they would have t finish tomorrow, and Eric, who had returned said it would cost me $100 - $200 for a surcharge. When I asked why it was taking so long, Eric offered two reasons......when cutting the hole in the drywall, there were several studs. (this is true, and it was very weird to see so many studs), however, the hole didn't need to be any bigger, and when the studs were discovered, if indeed it was the kind of obstacle that would double the time necessary to finish the job.....you would think that would have been the reaction at the time. Oh, also, the wall was painted red. My reply, "you've never painted a red wall before?" Well, yeah, but it's a really deep red and needs two coats of paint.....um, yeah. It was red when Brendan came in for the consultation. Frankly, this explanation was insulting. It was bad enough to hear this once, but then Brendan on the phone (who first assured me, the project would not cost me MORE, gee thanks), offered the same explanation. After making it clear, that I was not an idiot and that he clearly had underestimated how long it would take and did not have enough people working on it, Eric said that they would come back the next morning to finish.....as if this was doing me a tremendous favor, but of course, he had no choice. Rich, to his credit, was dedicated to a high quality job. And he did deliver. They returned the next day and completed the job. Unfortunately, I had to remind them to hookup our Direct TV and the Nintendo Switch to the TV...and even then, they did not make sure everything worked and was synched....but I did that afterwards. But I am grateful to Rich for his professionalism and hard work. The results are very good. I haven't read all of the other reviews, and maybe if the project is really straightforward....with no red paint, these guys can handle it. Otherwise, you're probably better off trying someone else.

We ended up canceling the Samsung order and had Brenden and his team deliver it, install it and mount it.

He spent about an hour on the phone with me as he guided me through all of the issues I could be having. He was able to help me narrow down the source of my problems and provided guidance with what to do next. Ahmed put my mind at ease and I definitely recommend his business for your electrical needs.

I asked Ahmed and team to do a pretty decently sized job. It seems like a lot of the reviews on…read morehere are for small quick-fixes and maybe they're great at that kind of thing. I needed my whole house to be re-wired. Ahmed came in and thoroughly looked over the house before giving me an estimate. He and Jose really seemed to know what they were talking about and their price was quite a bit better than the next competitor. They gave me a price estimate and then said that the job would be done in three to five days (this time-frame was given to me in writing). A MONTH later they still hadn't finished the work. Many of the reviews here mention how awesome Ahmed and Jose are. I only saw Ahmed in my house once during the project. He farmed much of the work out to sub-contractors who, while polite, didn't really seem to have a handle on what they were doing. One kept telling me about all of the times he had electrocuted himself (he proceeded to electrocute himself in my living room). They cut a hole in an exterior wall straight into my living room while trying to install a floodlight and just left the hole. Most of the outlet holes they cut were WAY too big for the outlets and left just gaping holes all over my house. They tore up the ceiling in my bathroom, leaving it impossible to repair. They cut two holes in my bedroom ceiling to install one smoke detector. Aside from the fact that this project took literally 10 times longer than estimated, it was done so poorly I just don't understand where all of the positive reviews have come from. Here's the kicker. Ahmed came into my house after his crew had been working for a month. I walked him through the house showing him all of the incorrectly installed outlets, the holes in the walls, the destroyed ceiling in my bathroom, etc etc etc. He said "I think we did pretty good here, this project came along well." I was flabbergasted. Was this actually the level of success he was going for? He then proceeded to tell me that his team had to go above and beyond because I hadn't asked them to install a plug for a sump-pump under my house. He told me he wanted to charge me for this extra work. This was news to me as I had paid the crawlspace company to do that work. I called the crawlspace company and they assured me that they had indeed done that install themselves. When I confronted Ahmed about it, he backed down. He wasn't here when the install happened anyways so how would he know? He also told me that I should be grateful because they paid for the smoke detectors they installed. They didn't ask me about installing smoke detectors, they didn't tell me this should have been an extra charge or ask me how I'd like to pay for it. Instead they installed them and then told me later that I should have paid for them. ????? Ahmed also asked me for more money ahead of time during the project. The contract clearly stated that I was to pay X amount up front and the remainder when the project passed the inspection. He told me that he had to pay his guys and needed a middle payment. I was NOT going to go ahead and just hand him cash early. This was three weeks past the date he said he was going to be done by. He told me to check the contract. I did. He was wrong. With this motivator, he actually got to the point of getting the inspection done. They of course failed the inspection the first time. This isn't abnormal but the frustrating part was the amount of things they just tried to hide from the inspector. For a complete re-wire they're supposed to remove all old wiring from the house. This has not been done to this day. They got the old wiring that they thought the inspector would be able to see and just left the rest. I paid them to get it to pass inspection and they did. I guess I should have been more specific. He claimed that the project ended up being more difficult because they had to go through my attic with the wiring instead of through my crawlspace. We had completely discussed this challenge ahead of time however. I showed him the attic and he actually climbed up there before even giving me the estimate. He knew the scope of the project from the start, using that as an excuse was not going to work. It's been a couple of weeks since they left and I'm still cleaning up after them. Last week I tried one of the outdoor outlets they installed and when I was pulling the plug back out of the outlet, it just came completely out of the wall. It wasn't attached at all. Today I found a plug behind a bookshelf that wasn't attached to the plug box. Plugs aren't flush to the walls. I've reinstalled 6 of the plugs they've done already. I'm sure if I pestered Ahmed he would eventually send someone over to re-do some of these jobs but I'm well past this point. Every time they came in to my house they created as many problems as they solved. It's easier at this point to just fix things myself. Bottom line: Jose is great, otherwise stay away from Wired Up.

In my case, I had them help me mount a very large flat screen television set on a wall. I normally do these things myself and I'm very good at it, so my standards and expectations are high. This one was too large and heavy for me to finish the install, so I gave Byron a call and got on their schedule. He and his co-owner came by to complete the install. Ordinary guys would have spent two minutes, hung the television, and overcharged me. Not so with these guys. They spent time talking to me about how far over to hang it, made sure everything was secure, then lifted the television and hooked it on the mount. While continuing to hold it, Byron carefully examined the brackets behind the television with a flashlight and made absolutely certain the latches were engaged and the television was secure. Then they pulled out a microfiber cloth and cleaned off any fingerprints or smudges they might have left. No kidding. I got their name from a friend who is the manager in charge of pulling together the local offices for a software company. Two Techies installed all of their televisions, and she was so impressed she has been using them both for additional work at her office and personally at home. She gave a strong recommendation and now that I've tried them out, I completely agree with that assessment. These guys are amazing, and I'm looking forward to enlisting their help again in the future.
