Our decision to hire Neuwave from new construction to ongoing service has proven to be a poor decision on our part. They numerous failures and poor quality of installation, and our service expereince with them since has been less than impressive. Most unacceptable was our service experience with a recent internet issue over a weekend. We contacted their 24 hour after hours service line for requesting service assistance, and Neuwave states you will receive a call within an hour. We called 4 times every hour and half with no returned call. Finally, we spoke to the service manager Monday, sharing we work from home, he had no response as to why a call was not received from anyone (including himself). He then elected to email us rather than call us, which leaves one to question whether Neuwave wants to speak with any of their customers. Needless to say Neuwave has totally failed to earn our business, and we will be replacing them with a customer and service centric provider. read more

We had them install a home audio and video system 2 years ago. The TV installation was fine, and the speakers sound great. However, the control 4 system is always hard to use and inconsistent at best. To turn on the TV now requires 2 remotes and turning on the TV twice on the control4 remote to get the audio to play. The control4 remote LED has faded quickly, so it is hard to see what is selected. I would love to find a different system to get the TV and audio to work well. read more

I can not speak highly enough for ALL the folks at Neuwave Systems!! I just bought a beautiful home in Wake Forest, and they came out and took care of my Security System, the entire Audio System throughout the home, and installed a beautiful home theater. With each and every visit to my home, the installers were not only professionals in their line of work, but were polite, courteous, on time, and answered all of my questions and took the time to explain everything to me, and all of my family members. As complex as what they had to do inside the home, I couldn't have asked for a better job well done in all regards!! Every move that any installer made was made with meticulous attention to detail. I would HIGHLY recommend this company, and more specifically would like to thank Andy Felton for working alongside of me to make this move into our new home the best experience ever. we had neuwave come in and install speakers in all pre-wired areas as they are our builder's preferred contractor and we love our builder who is established, local and came with a lot of tried and true expertise. i wanted something better than the typical rotary volume control knobs and security system and agreed to meet at the neuwave office to check out what they had to offer above standard builder grade... well from there things escalated quickly as we went from simple speakers to many, many, many extras, which included a whole house control system, control4. costly but it has the capability to run tvs, lightening, monitoring, comfort settings, etc. from touchscreens in the home to an app on your phone. first, i don't get how these guys can set up such a complex system, but they do. i'm not going to say the transition from their sales division to tech and operations was an easy or quick one, but after about a year in our home they took responsibility for any communication and technical issues and in specific jeremy, who heads operations there, fixed any and all issues, when at times there was a lot to fix, and did so with the promise it would be right. also tech luke is amazing. together they never once blamed us, charged us more, or failed to drill down and make sure the system finally ran wholly. the end product is we get ease-of-use and advanced home control functionality, which in my opinion was worth the high cost and at times stress of getting it right. neuwave came through when it mattered, and i highly recommend them! read more

Was so disappointed in the customer service. We wanted to get a few estimates for updating our movie room and having the whole house audio completed in a house we recently bought. We are military and at times can get a great deal on components. I sent ONE email asking if we could buy the Sonos amp and we'd purchase everything else from them. The response I got was unbelievable. I was told no, and that this time of year was too busy for them and that they couldn't help us with any of our projects. We just built a new home and used Neuwave for our home automation, security, and theatre. Neuwave is very knowledgeable and provided several options to fit our budget. We decided on variety of products all integrated via Control4 and couldn't be happier with the final outcome. Installation and programming were done in timely manner and within budget. After canceling our consultation at my home twice, I just wanted an estimate of adding some data ports in my home. When on the phone with them trying to talk out a problem, the sales rep got a little confused and just said "yeah you might just go with the other company you talked to." I think I will. I wrote an outstanding review of this company when they were almost done with my work. It was so outstanding in fact that yelp flagged it as fake assuming I worked for this company. Essentially they quoted me half what every other company did knowing I had other quotes, then came in and didn't finish several major aspects of the job that we agreed would be done. Then I didn't hear from them for a month or so until the owner sent me a bill for well over the quoted price and said he would send me another quote to finish the work that was supposed to be finished under the first quote. So it was a total bait and switch where he offers a low quote then screws you by not only not finishing the job, but also overcharging you for the incomplete work. The craziest thing is that I was dealing with the owner and he was okay with running his company like that. I paid the original quoted price and hired a new company to finish the work just to be done with them for good. read more

I had a good experience with Neuwave. I needed to add some ethernet wiring to my home and they were able to come out and review my options with me. I am familiar with cabling in walls so this stuff was not new to me. Just be aware of costs as they can spiral out of control. Can't be helped as someone has to do the work. I would cross-shop pricing as the price of cabling to each location was somewhat high (at least to me since I know what the cables and jacks cost). Even so, the crew that came out was great, efficient, and professional. I would recommend them. read more

It was Sunday morning during football season and the remote wouldn't work. I called the 24/7 help line and a person answered! We resolved the problem in a 3 minute phone call. Turned out the cable box locked up. We couldn't be happier with the service and now we can watch football. read more

Horrible customer service. Would never use them again. I contacted them based on a high recommendation from a friend for a surround sound install. They initially gave me a very high quote and included some items that I said I did not want. I asked them to revise the quote, which they nicely and quickly did. After doing further research, I realized I could purchase great quality surround sound speakers for less and just have Neuwave install. I contacted the owner and asked if they would be willing to do - I could tell he was not happy, but he said he would. He sent 2 guys for the install and it was a horrible experience. They used their own wires instead of the ones that came with the speakers, which added $1/foot (almost $100 extra), and their own surge protector....just ways to make the bill higher. They "accidentally" drilled a hole through the way and acted like it was no big deal; they left the job undone by not completely installing all of the speakers and by leaving our apps on the SmartTV not working correctly (no sound). When I contacted the owner to question some of these things, he got very snippy and said this small ($1000) job was not even worth the trip to our town which was 40 minutes away, and that he should have never done it. About the hole in the wall, he literally said "things happen." When I first contacted him, I told him we were 40 minutes away and would that be a problem...before I even told him what we had in mind...and he said it was not a problem. While $1000 may not be a lot of money to the owner, it is to us especially when it was clear that they were doing things to make the bill higher just to make the job "worth it." Doesn't really sound ethical to me. Anyway, I will never use them again and will highly recommend that others do not, unless you have money to throw away and can deal with someone who will up-sell you in a heartbeat. read more

Ethics clearly is not part of their training nor is taking care of the customer. They charge exhorbinant rates for standard cables and double charge for labor when only one person onsite is required. they are not interested in the customer. consider yourself warned. read more

Wow, what a really terrible experience. If there was a zero, that is what I would score this company. From start to finish, terrible experience all around. If you like paying too much for what you are getting, you will love this company. I have never expected so little and received far less than I was expecting. They will send two guys to do every little menial task and charge you for two people even though one is doing nothing. They will promise to do things and then try and renege. Their guys will try to talk you out of running a cable if it means too much work for them. The owner will overbook them to have to be somewhere else shortly after they start your job and that gives them an escape clause to skip out on your slightly more complex work. The workers complain that the boss charges way too much and then you will hear how they work on the side. They will run tons of cables and then send another guy who will have no clue how it was even connected or why. They will leave a mess of dust and debris and you have to clean it up. It is like babysitting. All in all, this company is absolutely worthless in my opinion. I wish I could give 0 stars. read more

I bought a home in which Neuwave installed the cable, network and audio wiring. For the life of me, I simply can't understand why they didn't put more thought into where they placed the runs for the cable and network wiring. It seems that in every room in our house, the runs end at an extremely inconvenient location in the room. Worse, they ran dual network and dual cable to each room, and ended all four runs in the same spot within a room! If you're going to go through all that trouble, why in the world would you not run your wiring to two locations in each room? And, the spots they chose were mostly easy access spots. So, now that the sheet rock is up and I need to make way for additional runs, I'm having to do so in the most difficult to access places. These guys simply put little thought into the design/planning of their runs. I was going to hire them to do additional work, but decided to go elsewhere after getting a hard look at the poor planning that went into the initial work they did on the home.
