I was so impressed with my results. I have an apron sink that I cracked all the way thru, dropping a big vase (and the vase didn't even break). I was so upset that my sink was ruined! redid our master bath a year ago . had sewer backup in toilet and shower drain . familly referred me to re new it contractors who came out later that same day. Brian and jesse came in and snaked out sewer lines after removing the toilet. took several hrs hard labor. they pulled out a bucket of palm tree roots . cleaned up nice and re installed toilet. came back next day and located mail line drain dug up and installed 2 way clean out for future stoppages . expert work . very happy with the service and prices very fair. top notch work and highly recommend them. will use them and refer them to friends and familly. communication was excellent and follow up calls were great also. cheers . read more

quoted 300 for new drain in tub...paid 600 to fellow 1 1/2 hours work or 400 per hour im a cpa with advanced. degree. i dont make 400 per hour i am 80 year old retired vet. no respect for me. only interested in money... in addition, drain does not work, water goes thru closed drain. i called 4 times to have them correct this. they dont give a damn...they got the money, no respect for customers. i am calling new plumber to fix item i will sue these guys for my original cost plus punitive damages. read more

I called Brian for a handyman job that included re-seating a toilet. He sent his associate, Jesse, who arrived on time and prepared to do all of my odd jobs. Jesse fnished everything promptly. The next day (Sunday) I noticed the toilet was leaking. I called and left a message for Brian on his voicemail and he called me back in a couple of hours. He said that he would send Jesse out again to fix it and if it was their mistake, we would not be charged. Sure enough, Jesse arrived again, on time. He found that the wax seal had somehow separated and fixed it. We were not charged. The fact that Brian returned my call on a Sunday was an indication that he would work to make things right and he did! read more

We have had a ongoing gas leak so we finally had to have it fixed so we used renewit / Brian was here on time got right to work dug up the section of the lawn to expose the gas pipe / found the spot of the leak / cut a new piece of pipe replaced the bad pipe covered up tge pipe / done & done / while he was here I also had him fix a few things in the bathroom / new shower head & add a safety bar / very happy with the work & price / nice job renewit read more

Had same problem. Had them come out last year to do a shower. 11 months later it began to peel. Called them back and paid again to re-do the whole shower. Said it was my housekeeper and wrong cleaning supplies. I bought all new supplies and waxed the entire area as per their instructions - didn't last a month. Called them to come fix - wanted me to pay again and said it was the cleaning lady.... Give me a break - Not worth the trouble and won't stand by their product... read more

On Dec. 18, 2014 Brian James was to start a job re-doing the epoxy coating that was done 11 years ago. Shower, counter tops, . On his initial visit he try's real hard and says things to make you believe he is a descent guy and contractor. He was getting several calls during our visit which interfered with the details that should have been listed and weren't. Brian agrees to do the work you request and charges you like wise. First warning: make sure you check and read, read, read his contract on the back of contract you sign. Second warning: He wants 50% down payment which is a violation of California State Contractors board. He'll take a check but wants that changed out with CASH when he starts the work. Third Warning: He says the work will be done in two days. Make a note on contract money will be deducted if not completed when written. He will probably back out. at that point. When asked to have a discussion with my neighbor who had complications with demolition in his unit, Brian seemed insulted and his words became very condescending. Bottom line here is he started rolling out his supply cart taking video shots with his phone of my home and artwork.. . He ran out the door not even starting the work. One hour later he text saying He was unable to work at my residence and would be refunding my deposit immediately. This was three months ago, and no refund yet. Nor has he called. He has Yorba Linda address under sticker on contract with his Fullerton address printed on an address label on top.. Address on computer says La Palma. When asked about this, he says Fullerton is correct. Yet his Fullerton address is only a box at the UPS store in Fullerton. This was a staged, thought out scenario if I ever saw one. He's in violation big time, he's a con artist, and a crock. He takes advantage of senior citizens and runs off with their money. With all the negative comments, I don't understand how his contractor license doesn't show blemishes. Beware, he wins you over discussing his surfing and as he calls them: people in higher places. When I checked him out this negative feedback didn't come up. So this is my bad for being careless and trusting. His license needs to be revoked. read more

What a flawless job. Reglazing my bathtub after the last company's job ended up looking horrible and started cracking and chipping right away. My real estate lady highly recommended Re-New-It and said she has been using Brian for over 10 years. So I took a look at there website and it was great. Brian is very well organized and efficient. I was working at home and he just went about his thing and didn't distract me at all. He was extremely neat, left no mess since he taped down paper around the tub, bathroom, and in the kitchen (the staging area). Also there was very little smell as he used a professional air extracting machine. (which the last company did not use and the house smelled for 2 days) The tub looks amazing! So shiny and white! I wish I had used Re-New-It to do it the first time. The price is also so much cheaper than buying a new tub and my home is now buyer ready. Highly recommend their services! read more

DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS. They are hucksters and liars and try to soak you for triple the quoted price once they start the job and have done more damage and no repairs. Once they have you over a barrel, they try to triple or more the price because they think you have no choice but to agree to their price to undo the damage they've caused. These guys CLEARLY tried to cheat us and we will be reporting them to the BBB, to the California Licensing Board, and to their Bonding company, and well as taking them to court for damages caused and services paid for but not rendered. Apparently this guy has a habit of leaving jobs half finished. Stay away from these cheats. read more

He tackled many different jobs in helping us prepare our home for sale worked around our schedule when other contractors were working. He worked on sinks, tubs and showers. He also did plumbing and granite work plaster work and did a great job. I would gladly hire him again and believe anyone who does so will be very happy with his work. read more

Buyer beware! Upon recommendation from a friend that had used this service before, we called Justin at Just-Renew-It (Re-New-It according to their invoice). He was pleasant, and offered a good price to re-glaze a tub enclosure and stall shower. That's when the pleasantries ended. He was late for the appointment and brought his girlfriend to help (she was beautiful, but just stood around and was in the way of the other contractors we had working that day). They promised a completion time, that they missed by 4 hours (mostly because of the 2 hour lunch they took). The product was beautiful when done, and we paid happily. Unfortunately, just over 60 days later, a section of the glaze on the shower pan detached from the foundation, and tore off. The next day, another section detached as well. This continued slowly for the days following until we stopped using the shower. According to the "10 year performance warranty", all warranty claims are to be submitted in writing (email specifically). We did that, and got the nastiest response from Justin. He claims that separation, peeling, cracking, etc is NOT COVERED under the warranty. (Sorry about the caps, but his entire email was in caps, so it's difficult not to use it when describing the situation.) His conclusion was that the product needed to be reglazed at a discounted rate; coincidentally, it's exactly what we paid the first time. Undeterred, we responded to the email with an inquiry as to what the warranty covered, if not for faulty workmanship, improper preparation, and/or defective materials. We never got a response to that. Afterward, we asked our friend about their experience with Justin. Apparently, he had just touched-up a few cracks that they had in a shower enclosure wall. Our friend is still happy with their touch-up, but we were forced to start over... and pay twice (obviously we didn't use Justin at Just-Renew-It). If you choose to use this company, ask what his warranty covers, and what it doesn't. read more

I agree with Brenda M and the other one star reviews. He came out and told me my chimney needed to be repaired for $250.00. The next day I had a chimney man out(the Best on Yelp) and he said he would charge me $75.00 IF my chimney needed to be repaired. The chimney contractor was honest and told me Brian was not telling the truth! THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CHIMNEY! Brian also did another repair for me and now I find out the job is not complete and I paid $1200.00 more for the repair than I should have. I only went with him because he was referred by what I thought was a good source. Now my source and I both know he has absolutely no integrity. Had the owner of Re-New-It come to my house (1 1/2 hours late) showed him the tub and tile that I wanted a complete white sealant sealant coating done for - same as the Stone-Flecks but in a basic white. He proceeded to point out that I had air circulation problems because of some minor visual items that a normal bathroom with a shower endures. He also indicated that my tile had structural problems because I had two 1/2" long pieces of grout missing. He tried to sell me a basic grout seal but my wife wanted the entire tile and grout coated with his amazing "looking" covering. His cell phone rang three times interrupting our meeting, the third time he said said he had to take it,,,he proceeded to walk out to his van, get inside and start the engine I figured for the A/C, moments later I'm getting a call from his. HE LEFT MY RESIDENCE! He was calling me to say he couldn't do my job because he didn't feel comfortable in a hostile environment. WHAT, all I wanted was him to do the job that he advertises. He indicated that I wasn't cooperative with him because I wouldn't do the basis sealer he was trying to push on me. He said he wouldn't come back until I resolved the bathroom issues. I nearly fell over in dis belief. He didn't have the professional courtesy to to come to my door and explain why he wouldn't do the job. He said this was he new way of rejecting jobs so people don't get confrontational with him! What a weasel.. the hours I spent preping the bath and shower removing all the caulking and fixtures, was a waste of time. DO NOT call this company no matter how good his product looks online or in a showroom! He will not, and possibly can not produce the product that is advertised - at least this is the case I have found. I did not think it was possible considering the condition the shower was in, but truly it looks brand new.
