I can't say enough great things about Dr. Kim and his staff at ReNuMi! I have been coming to see Dr. Kim for over three years now and he has changed my life! I've been going to Re Nu Me since 2013 after I'd been in a car accident. Dr. Kim's services and staff have been a life changer for me. They have helped me with various health issues, including managing neck and back pain from injury, recovering quickly from surgery and healing a knee with Bakers Cyst (which is supposedly not curable, but mine has now completely gone for years,) I no longer require knee replacement surgery after ART treatments with Dr. Kim. And my knee is now completely pain free. I can't say enough about Dr. Kim and Dr. Ernest. I was beyond stressed out and out of balance and had the beginnings of terrible TMJ. I did the rounds of dentists and TMJ specialist and it dawned on me that this is a holistic problem, and I should go see an acupuncturist. I have been VERY happy about my time at Re Nu Mi. Dr. Kim is a miracle worker, in my opinion. I started seeing him about a very personal matter, very complicated due to a traumatic event. In other words, not just for a stiff back. Right now I am so angry! Dr. Kim constantly tells you to trust him! He talked me into his special ART Procedure to fix my scars from my double mastectomy. I have had $30,000 worth of procedures to fix what he did and NOW he is trying to dispute the money I paid him for doing the procedure of $1000. Please do not go to him or give him any business! He sent me a letter of apology and some flowers proving his guilt, yet can't reimburse me for what I paid him! I can't believe someone who is claiming to want to help people would do this to someone who has already been through so much. I went to ReNuMi when I was having unbelievable back pain a couple of months back. The pain was so bad, I hadn't slept in days....the worst! On the first treatment Dr. Kim did a treatment on me that helped relieve the pain enough for me to get my first nights rest in many days. It was like a miracle! What a mixed bag. Very good accupuncturist. But feels like I am always charged more than expected without prior notification. First treatments were quality and thorough. Then less and decreased quality of service leading to being asked for more money for the same or less amount of service. I wanted to believe Dr. Kim had integrity, instead after 6 months of treatment, he charged more for less. Last example, charging $190 for a requested TEP treatment he previously said was $75. This they charged a couple of times before noticing it and calling it to their attention. Then having to pay twice what was expected. His office knew I was strapped for cash and had to delegate treatment. But that doesn't seem to matter. That the Dr. doesn't return phone messages is just another bad business practice. I like Dr. Kim as a person, but as a professional caregiver he lacks consistent business practices. All that being said if you have unlimited money he'll do a good job for you. I highly recommend this office. I visited ReNuMi Wellness center out of frustration; my immune system had been terrible for at least a decade and my glands seemed to get swollen and painful with every virus I was exposed to. I was getting no where with Western doctors, and had heard many recommendations to try acupuncture, and now I feel foolish for not doing it sooner. On the very first visit my large, swollen glands in my neck were reduced down in one day. Two weeks later, I had a very bad cold and a sore throat. I have a deviated septum and have trouble breathing, I have been to a lot of doctors with no success - a friend suggested I try Dr Kim and I was expecting nothing and wow did i get lucky. While I was there he also did work on my neck, suddenly my neck was thin, my neck wasn't saggy, the saggy skin under the chin tightened. I first decided to try acupuncture when I was 7 months pregnant. I had a lot of sciatic pain and was looking for a natural remedy. I landed on trying ReNuMi after checking out the website. I was impressed with Dr. Kim's credentials and liked that he had been the Chairman on the Acupuncture Board for the State of California and had a lot of experience. Acupuncture was all new to me and I wanted to go to someone I felt I could trust. ReNuMi is very clean, relaxing, and I was instantly a huge fan of Dr. Kim. He seems genuinely concerned with getting to know you, your overall well being, and with healing all of your ailments. The staff is also very pleasant and sweet which is something that is important to me. For my first treatment Dr. Kim put in a few needles which barely seem like needles and are pretty much painless. After about 20 or 30 minutes they came back and did a cupping treatment which I believe is for blood flow and to speed up the treatment process. The cupping was also very relaxing. I could not have been more pleased with the results from my first treatment. In addition to the relief of my sciatic pain, I felt amazing. One thing that I noticed was that I did not wake up once in the middle of night to use the bathroom. With a baby pushing on my bladder I was waking up at least once a night on the days I didn't do acupuncture. The combination of a great night's sleep and being pain free worked wonders. Fast forward a few months and I was having terrible neck, back, shoulder, and arm pain which I think was due to lugging a baby car seat. I woke up in excruciating pain and could barely lift my head off the pillow. I first went to the ER and was prescribed a muscle relaxer and pain reliever. I was reluctant to take the meds as they seemed pretty potent. Luckily I was able to get in for an acupuncture appointment. I again found instant relief from the acupuncture and was reminded of how much I love it and how amazing the results are. Most recently I tried the ART treatment. I happened to have an appointment the day after the stomach bug had finished making its way through our house. I was sleep deprived, had the chills, and felt terrible. I left feeling the best I had felt in months or even longer. It is a little more expensive but so worth it. Even if I am feeling fine and just want to treat myself I would pick acupuncture over a facial, massage, or reflexology any day. I tell everyone who will listen to give ReNuMi a try. Especially if you are pregnant, a Mom, or stressed for any reason at all. My husband is a terrible sleeper and I finally convinced him to try it and he too was so pleased with the results.
