I came last year for PMDD as my last option and it was the best decision I have ever made. I came only twice and all my symptoms simple vanished! I had never been so happy in my life! I've been coming here for years and HIGHLY RECOMMEND this practice. I started coming here to manage my stage 4 endometriosis and prepare my body for the IVF process. After a year of preparation I'm happy to say that I got pregnant on our first round of IVF and had a healthy babygirl in 2018. A few years later and living across the country I came back to LA for my next round of IVF for baby #2. Again, I came back to my trinity family for treatments before and after my transfer. I found Dr. Kim on Yelp after being rear-ended on the freeway a few months ago. Before I began treatment, I was experiencing neck and upper back discomfort, TMJ, headaches, and numbness and tingling going down my arm into my baby finger. Although physical therapy sessions at another facility were somewhat helpful, I received more relief from Dr. Kim's treatments and soon relied on acupuncture solely for the rest of my care. Talk about being disappointed! After reading great reviews and seeing that this office comes highly recommended, I was excited to start my treatment for some circulation issues. I scheduled an appointment a few weeks in advance (the soonest they could fit me in) and I received a call from the office that my insurance was "Verified." So hearing this, my assumption was that my insurance would cover my visits. Well, today is my appointment and I receive a call from the office (Salma) to tell me that I am going to be treated by one of the Doctors that is "out of network." Therefore, my visits would need to be paid out of pocket! Huh! The one Doctor that qualifies this location to be listed in all insurance directories is leaving this location by the end of the year. So it was recommended that I get treatment from another Doctor. And again, one that is out of network and I would have to pay "out of pocket." No Bueno! Talk about disappointment and at the last moment, as I was getting ready to leave my house for the appointment. Unfortunately I cancelled the appointment and will have to seek treatment elsewhere. Is there such a thing as "Bait and Switch" in the Medical Industry? If so, this would be a perfect example. This fits into the category of "Scam!" I'm going to chalk this one up to miscommunication, but definitely really really disappointed. read more

I don't write reviews often but feel this one is important. Dr. Kristina Elminoufi, has basically saved my life. As a female going through menopause, I have been suffering from a variety of symptoms that have made my life miserable. With Kristina's patience, guidance and expertise, she has helped me get rid of the hot flashes and I had my first 8 hour sleep in years. Upon arrival, Kristina took the time to ask questions and really dive into what was ailing me. This was my first time getting acupuncture and it was weird! Dr. Kim was super nice, took the time to ask about my injury and was very comforting. Since this was my first time she explained what she was doing and made me feel very relaxed (which was a surprise since there were needles in my knee/leg!). I went in for knee cap subluxation recovery help, my knee has been feeling weak and sore for a month now (insurance takes forever to see any doctors). I am so happy with my results from Seeing Dr. Kim. I went to her with two issues: Acid Reflux and really bad tennis elbow. (I know, weird combination) my acid reflux is so much better that I've cut my prescription dose in half after just two treatments. She explained the connection between stress, my gut health and reflux. I really did not think my elbow would respond to acupuncture... I play way too much tennis and lift weights several times a week. Without taking weeks off to rest I didn't think I could get any relief. I'm so happy that my elbow is significantly better! Dr. Kim is the epitome of compassion and empathy. I was scheduled to have a consultation with Dr. Kim on a Saturday. I knew that she had a full schedule but my health problems were somewhat urgent so she made time to meet with me to talk about my recent health issues. At the time, I was suffering from a severe headache because of a migraine, strained neck, and head muscle tension/compulsion. During the consultation, I told Dr. Kim about my severe pain and how much it's been affecting my daily activities. Coincidentally, a patient had canceled very last minute so with a sudden change of plans, Dr. Kim offered to treat me that same day. I knew it was difficult for her to adjust to such a last-minute cancellation but her compassion and empathy allowed her to see the urgency of my pain. The treatment itself was phenomenal. I've been to one other acupuncturist in the area, but I've just settled down and use Christy as my regular acupuncturist. I used to see her every week, and she would prescribe me herbs (pill form, not powder! yay!) that I would take 3 times a day with warm/hot water. i'm actually very non-compliant with powder forms and pay lots, while Christy's herbs only cost about $15-20 bucks a bottle. You would never call my conversations modest, so here I go continuing my pattern. I've had years worth of UTI's starting when I turned 26 (now almost 30). I'm a nursing student, so I know all the no-no stuff about wiping properly and certain sex positions, thongs, not going to the bathroom, etc. Partly my infections stemmed from having sex, but what prophylactically made it worse was the fact that I ate sweet stuff all the time and was constantly dehydrated and hardly ever peed. I'm just not a thirsty person, I tell you! It was bothersome and kept me running to my regular physician for antibiotics. Well, boo on that. Antibiotics wipes out all of the natural flora in my body that helps get rid of uti's at the same time as the bad bacteria. I knew I couldn't keep on doing this to my body and seeking alternative remedies was the best way to go. Also I had a problem with my menstrual cycle that I didn't know about. Apparently, my period was way too long and the cycle was also way too long. I've had ear infections, sinus pressure, severe allergies (my family has a hyperreactive immune response like hives over exercising or stress), eczema, GI bowel distress, and STRESS! Lots and lots of stress. I also study A LOT and occasionally have shoulder pain from hunching over my computer or books trying to study. It's been several years that I've been receiving treatment for her, and I'm happy to say that I'm doing very well physically. I literally had bodily issues from head to toe...Plantar Fasciitis, shoulder/neck pain, gastrointestinal pain/issues, fatigue, stress, or sinus allergies. Christy has greatly helped me with these conditions. As for treatment, she is very gentle--I don't even feel the needles. And, I've been to many acupuncturists where the needles can cause major discomfort.
