You're in good hands if you found Dr Shen. He's a traditional Chinese herbal doctor but has legit medicine background from some of the world top school from what I can see on his business card. I went to him for adult acne issue that's been bothering me for months. After drinking herbal tea for about 1 month, I notice big improvement. Now to be clear, it's not improvement overnight, first week, i notice my bowel movement is much better, and I saw about 5% improvement, second week I saw another 10% improvement, then another 20%, after one month, my acne was cleared by about 60%. Now I'm on second month and it's at 90% clear. I came down from a trip to Irvine and stopped by to see Dr. Shen. He wasn't there but he had a wonderful accupuncturist who was there as his back up and she really helped me with digestion issues. She also gave me a prescription for raw herbs to cook which I like better than other type of Chinese herb medicine. I have a clay pot at home to cook it in. The store is in a mini mall and next to 99 Ranch. The staff know their stuff and how to help you with whatever ails you. Soooo I was looking for a closer treatment place because I had moved from my original acupuncture treatment office. Who by the way, is amazing who has healed me in so many ways, so when I came across this place, I was hoping to get the same results along with service. I was attending and receiving herbal treatments. All was going well until I realized they were committing insurance fraud. I was paying out of pocket the full amount, and they were also filing claim with my insurance, when I ask them for a refund, they were only willing to refund me $30, I called my insurance and notified them, and they stated that was insurance fraud, which it was and also they were inputting that I was getting acupuncture treatment when I have only had acupuncture treatment once. They file a total of four claims for doctors visit and acupuncture treatment. ALL LIES! I went back to my old Acupunture treatment even though it's in the valley. I strongly recommend his clinic! He is very kind and professional. I went to his clinic for 2 and half months every week to get my herbal tea that made for my fertility treatment. It's very bitter and taste disgusting but that was so worth for myself and it worked!! I was pregnant!!! Shen Clinic is located inside TC Herbs (in the 99 Ranch - Daiso - 85C complex). The store sells a mix of Chinese herbal cures and Western medicines. Most are labeled and targeted for the Chinese community, but all are welcome. The clinic and Dr. Shen are located in the back of the store. I'd had a nasty-nasty sinus and head cold for a couple weeks and was desperate for anything to relieve the pressure. Decongestants, antihistamines, pain relievers, nasal sprays, steam treatments, and antibiotics weren't helping ... I was desperate to try anything that would help. Since my wife and I were already shopping nearby, I figured I'd give traditional Chinese medicine a try. It's $15 for a consultation with Dr. Shen. He asked a series of questions and concerns trying to get a sense of what my trouble and cure might be. After about 5 minutes, he wanted to know if I was willing to try Chinese Herbs and I again told him ... ANYTHING if it helps. So, he scribbled together a "prescription" and handed it to his team at the counter. Twice daily, I was instructed to drink a tea made from a mix of 8 to 12 herbs, roots, and mystery. The 7 large bags of tea ingredients was $52. ... What was in it? No idea. Ginseng was about the only thing I recognized. The rest looked like dry grass, weeds, seeds, and stuff you found after mowing your lawn. ... How'd it taste? Worse than you can imagine. The smell is strong and permeated the whole house, but fighting the gag reflex twice a day was a serious challenge. ... Did it work? I don't know. I feel a little better, but not sure it is because of the herbal tea or just time passing. I checked my insurance today due to a email.and I noticed that this company has billed my insurance. Wth. The clerk stated on 9/15/14 that she was going to check and see if my insurance is acceptable and call me back. Mind you I paid for visual visit and herbs. I never received phone call back and when I returned 7 days later do to not to much improvement, that clerk wasn't there, and I never received phone call back so I assumed it wasn't acceptable. So I paid another $15.00; for the same visual visit and I assumed he added another herb to formula. Oh! well I felt better but I still had the symptoms. I am not upset with doctor I am upset because they billed my insurance company and never called me to notify me that they accept my insurance. Wth did they bill them for. I have been going to Dr. Shen for years now, simply love him! He is very experience in Chinese medicine. He started practice in China, then went to Japan to further study and later became a professor there. I love going to his clinic, always nice and clean with a lot of goodies from green tea to electric herb tea pots. In addition to prescribe herbs, he also does acupuncture. I never tried acupuncture, but have always been getting results after my 5-7 days session of herb tea. From what I heard he is very good at helping with women with fertility problem. I have been visiting Dr. Shen on a regular basis for various reasons over the past couple of years, and he has been wonderful, his medicine is able to cure me more so than the western medicine. I have gallstones and the pain was unbearable at times. Once I started using Dr. Shen's Chinese herbs, the pain went away. It only took one week and the result is unbelievable - what my GI doctor couldn't do in over a month was done by Dr. Shen! I was told to get my gallbladder removed by my GI doctor; but I changed my mind since I started seeing Dr. Shen. I first came to Dr. Shen's clinic after I wrenched my right knee in a bad fall in the Sepulveda Preserve. A trip to the Emergency Room and x-rays revealed that nothing was broken, that it had been a soft tissue injury. When I heard my back pop as I was lifting a falling pot, I knew it was bad. And it was. REALLY REALLY bad. I couldn't sit for long periods and couldn't get out of bed. Couldn't really walk around too much without my legs buckling. I was in a lot of pain. I have always pushed people towards acupuncture for their ailments but have never done it myself. I've used Chinese herbs and acupunture for a number of years with great results. Over the last 3yrs I've taken Dr. Shen's herbs as directed and love them. Recently I experienced an extremely sore shoulder after doing a particular workout. He quickly diagnosed the problem and after one acupuncture treatment with massage it was 90% better. I went here on a Sunday and it's the only Acupuncture place that is open and I was able to meet De. Shen. He is amazing! I have been suffering with sprain on both my knees and it was to a point that they're both swelling. I went here to try the acupuncture for the first time. I was really scared and I bet ya I will still be scared the second time I will do it. I made known to Dr. Shen the areas that I am concerned about and he immediately knew where the exact locations to put the needles and oh my. It relieved 90% of my pain. I've been to TC Herbs and Dr Shen for around 4 years now. His herbs do what they should when taken as he prescribes. His assistants are very helpful for any OTC herbs that are needed for lesser ailments. Dr. Shen is personable and he is very reasonably priced. I have been suffering severe pollen/ dust allergy associated with migraines and low energy. My allergy is 24/7, 365 days a year. In the past, I have worked with the best immunologist, neurologist, ENT. I am still maintaining the allergy shots and my routine appointments with all the doctors in line to manage my symptoms. I ran across to Dr Shen's practice about two months ago. I gave it a try simply because I just took a CT scan and I was about to run out of options, as well as hope. Two months later, I have seen significant improvement in all the symptoms, including running nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, facial pain, stiff neck, migraines, back pain, poor sleep and over all energy level. Before seeing Dr Shen, I need ALL the oral/ nasal spray medications to almost the max. dosage to get by the day. I had about 2 to 3 severe migraines attacks every month, whenever the weather is changing. I cannot believe that I almost kick off all the pills, Benadryl, Zertec, Claritin / D, Allegra, Flonase, Nasonex going and going. I don't feel my nose being tortured every night when the temperature drops. I can garden in the yard and I don't care if there is pollen or not. I open my windows twice a day to get the fresh air in. I have a lot more energy and get much more done. I no longer shy from making a commitment to do things with friends because I know I am far away from the allergy level which will trigger the migraines anytime. Don't ask me how it works. I seriously don't know why the combination of a bag of dry leaves, fruit peels and plant seeds work better than all the Rx combined. BTW, the cost of the entire treatment is just a fraction of one Rx which still has patent. Best of all, I am being told that I will not need to maintain the treatment once my body is being "re-calibrated" to its ideal state. I have not reached that point yet but we will see. read more

Dr. Shen has been able to help me with sinus problems and pain and uncontrollable coughing reducing lymph glans swelling. His horrible tasting medicines have worked when western medicines have failed. I have to say the medicine are bitter and unappealing to the pallet but it takes me a few seconds to drink them down and I am on with my day. In experimenting 8-25-11 My Brother and I found a counter reaction to the bitter we added a bit of coconut oil and it calmed down the bitter as a cream would do for coffee.
