First, let me preface this review by saying that I understand moving companies have challenges. I understand that things get damaged and sometimes lost. However, I expect the company to resolve those issues, and, well, this has just not been the case. I was fine with my items arriving a full month after pickup. It was a long move (New Mexico to New York). I was fine with some of my furniture being scuffed up. Hey, it happens. What I'm not okay with is my missing twin mattresses. I don't own much furniture, so I'm not sure how this happened. I have also not heard anything from the company since the initial response that they would look into it (about six months). I've had movers lose things in the past, but not giant pieces of furniture. I don't have the money to replace them right now as mattresses are big ticket items, so my kids have been sleeping on air mattresses ever since. My other issue was that upon arrival with my items the only way to pay the remainder of what I owed was through Cash app or Apple Pay. I kept having issues with both and was offered no alternative. It turns out Cash app only allows $1000 to be sent in a single transaction, and all I needed to do was divide the amount I owed into two separate transactions, one right after the other. For a company that only accepts Cash app and Apple Pay as method of payment, this is critical information. I was having a panic attack the whole time they were unloading, thinking my bank had flagged it as fraud (it was late and the bank was closed), and the movers had nothing to say except "gee, I hope you get it figured out, otherwise we have to load your stuff back up and charge you another 500 dollars to bring it tomorrow". They were very polite but didn't seem very experienced with moving items. read more

A Nightmare Experience with Ready Set Go Moving Company If I could give this company zero stars, I would. My move from El Paso to Houston with Ready Set Go Moving Company was nothing short of a nightmare. Settlement & Accountability: It took them 18 months to pay out a settlement for damages--yet they demanded I provide everything they needed within 90 days or else I would be in violation. Their paperwork even stated they would pay settlements in 90 days. The hypocrisy and lack of accountability were astounding. The response from the owner for his delay was "the moving industry is slow right now and I have other obligations to pay." It's no wonder it is slow for you when your service and responsiveness are nothing short of unspeakable. Customer Service & Professionalism: From the start, the crew was late, unprofessional, and dismissive of my time. The owner was equally unresponsive and dismissive when I raised concerns. Their behavior throughout the process made it clear they have no respect for their customers. Damage to Belongings & Home: Their handling of my household goods was careless. Several appliances were damaged beyond repair, and my home suffered extensive wall and floor damage. To make matters worse, I had provided all moving supplies (boxes, tape, paper, blankets) and even bought lunch for the crew on both ends of the move. Despite this, the owner still claimed he was giving me a "discount," which felt like nothing more than an insult. Storage Issues & Deception: We also paid them to store our items for 6-7 months. They promised a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment, but what we got was the opposite. Items came back rusted, weathered, and covered in dust. Some boxes had clearly been soaked and dried. Tools were rusted, furniture was stained, and countless items were ruined--costing me thousands to replace. Dishonesty & Extortion Tactics: The owner's dismissive response to all of this was: "That's what happens when you move--stuff breaks or you lose it." That's exactly why I hired professionals, to prevent that outcome. To make things worse, they refused to unload my belongings until payment was made in full, calling it "industry standard." That's not standard--it's extortion. Final Thoughts: This company operates without integrity, empathy, or professionalism. They caused financial loss, property damage, and endless stress. Even their claims of faith and values were a facade--used only when convenient, not reflected in their actions. Takeaway: Avoid Ready Set Go Moving Company at all costs. We're not Ok! We just discovered ANOTHER box missing. All my girlfriends Christmas ornaments and decorations. Our first Christmas together, my first one ever away from home and it's ruined! This is the worst experience ever. Please don't use this company. If I could give them negative stars, I would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! FYI if you are doing a cross country move your stuff can take months to be delivered. Their communication skills are horrific until you literally have a melt down, they do not explain the actual process to you and your stuff is left in a warehouse until they have other deliveries in or around the area you are moving to. Just rent a moving truck and do it yourself. I will never use them or any moving company EVER!! It took the better part of two months to get our stuff. Proper communication did not happen until about six weeks in. Granted I went through Safe Ship, which was a broker and another horrid experience but this company was awful. The actual men doing the loading and unloading were very nice but the company itself is just 100% unprofessional. They are not forthcoming with the actual process that happens with a cross country move and find the stupidest things to charge you extra for. It's almost like they are keeping your stuff hostage. We had 1 box go missing and what a coincidence it was the box with 2 very expensive pairs of shoes that my girl-friend had. She also had some irreplaceable, sentimental artwork from a friend in that box and they still have not given us an update as to if it has been located or not. It was a nightmare!!!!!! They were hired by a customer of mine to deliver their personal belongings to one of the stoage units in our self storage facility. Their truck driver scraped and dented the corner of the canopy hanging over my office when he could not make the turn properly. They denied ever touching the building 10 minutes later and started yelling at me "for falsely accusing them". They won't even admit it when they mess up, which is all the time. Packing was good. Unpacking at destination left mess with missing screws and incomplete assemblies. Bedframe damaged, desk, coffee stand are missing long screws that you can't buy in market. so basically I have to throw it off. In total I lost approx $1500 worth of goods. They will take payment before unloading. After that good luck if you get everything done right. Can't do anything about it. I am going to add in blacklist and won't recommend for any employer moving services in the future. read more

This moving company serviced one of my clients. She was in a situation where abuse was the key factor for her leaving. She had originally called my looking for pick up. I was able to advise her on where to go get help from local law enforcement for moving assistance to move back home to her family. Ready set go was able to pick her up less the. 24 hours from the time she called back to book. They didn't charge her a penny over the original estimate. Also ℹ assisted her as well with aid because they gave so little to her for assistance with the cost of her move. First: The fact that you have repeatedly exonerated your company from the serious mishandling and mangling of many of our personal possessions in this move is absurd. Who pays for the move--the homeowner or the employer--has no bearing on your responsibility to handle our goods professionally and when damaged, to pay YOUR CONTRACTUALLY AGREED UPON REIMBURSEMENT FOR DAMAGED GOODS. Customers trust you to handle their possessions with care. Second: We, the customer, supplied 10 large roles of bubble wrap, 10 small rolls of bubble wrap, three large rolls of furniture plastic wrap, probably a dozen rolls of packing tape, four dozen boxes of various sizes. We purchased all of these expendables new AND saved boxes from previous moves, precisely because we didn't want our fine, antique, and heirloom furniture damaged. How many times did I have to ask your crew, "Please don't use packing tape directly on the surface of furniture"? Many. Third: You had a semi parked in front of our house, at the bottom of the driveway, which we loaded goods into on one of the days loading. Unfortunately it was half-full when you brought it. Fourth: A representative from your company walked through our home prior to the move. His erroneous estimate is his error. By the evidence of years of reviews on Yelp and BBB, my experience with your company is not unique. There are years worth of people citing damages, poor wrapping, evasion of communications and lack of reimbursement on damages. They trashed most of our fine furniture. Totally unprepared with staff, supplies, truck space even after in-person estimate. Took days longer to load even with husband and I on crew (both load and unloading). Apparently transferred our goods to multiple trucks along the way. $20k damages. I filed full damage claim immediately with all details. Armando said he only had insurance to cover if truck caught on fire, no household goods coverage. We established a payment plan to pay the $.60 per lb on tens-of-of thousands of damages. I nagged him for 18 months for $2400 damage agreement. He stopped paying in July. They are incredibly flexible when it came to my moving needs. I had to work around a busy schedule that took me out of town around the date when the household goods arrived and they were able to move the delivery date back with no problem. The owners are very reasonable and easy to get a hold of any time of the day. Any issues that did come up during the move, they were able to come up with a solution quickly and one that made sense to both parties. Would recommend and will use again. read more

A REAL HASSLE: In hindsight, I wish we had checked the reviews for Ready Set Go Moving & Van Lines of Las Cruces on Yelp, but we went with the A+ rating on the Better Business Bureau web site. When Armando arrived at the house, he estimated that it would take two box trucks and one flatbed trailer to move our things from Las Cruces to Santa Fe. On the day of the actual move he and his crew arrived with one box truck. He estimated it would take about five hours to load the truck. Nine hours later, they had filled the box truck, the back of Armando's pick-up and a small U-Haul trailer that Armando had to go rent. There were still quite a few things that were left unpacked due to lack of room in the one box truck. Armando assured us that he would bring the rest of our things within a week. We had to remind them several times to wear their masks inside the house, but the crew still only used them intermittently. When a week went by, we begin to call them, and often they would not return our phone calls. Eventually, we did reach them and it was only after threatening to leave a bad review that they agreed to bring the rest of our stuff, 10 days after the initial move they arrived late the next day with the remainder of our stuff thrown in the back of a truck with no attempt to wrap or protect any of it. There were several scratches and dents on the furniture. Then, to top it all off, Armando had the gall to ask us for more money, stating that he had had to spend $600 to bring the rest of our stuff. We didn't bother to mention that he hadn't provided the necessary trucks to begin with. My parents just completed a move where this company was sub-contracted to do the delivery. At first we were pretty upset because we kept getting more and more delayed ETAs from the driver, and we couldn't reach anyone at the company to figure out why, as no one would pick up or return our calls. However it turned out that the numbers we were trying to call were the shipping company that had contracted out to Ready Set Go, and they were the ones not returning our calls. When we called the office of Ready Set Go directly, they answered, we told them how we couldn't accept any more delays because we would be leaving town soon, and they went out of their way to re-arrange the schedule to make sure our items arrived on time. What really changed our opinion of the company were the delivery men who unloaded our items. Jacob and Julian were absolutely amazing. They were so professional, yet had great senses of humor, and handled our items with care. We were really impressed with their level of service in particular. The only reason we took off one star was because of the delayed delivery estimates we got before the movers arrived, which caused my parents a lot of stress. So for anyone working with these guys, keep in mind that they get sub-contracted a lot, so if something happens, make sure you check which company is at fault so you don't misplace blame like we did! read more
