Never showed up on moving day and never returned calls or texts. Had paid a deposit so had to dispute charge with the bank.

I had about 10 days to pack my things and move out. I needed help packing and they had a young woman come over the first day. Due to not having help packing, I had to pay for a second day of use of the truck and more hourly pay for them. The first day, I looked outside to find my new alabaster colored vertical blinds laying in the yard among the grass and dirt. Over the past 6 weeks I've been unpacking. I'm slow due to physical disabilities. I've come to cringe every time I open another box. The woman they had helping me pack didn't seem to know much about packing. I found my packed boxes inside boxes I had just purchased. I had to buy more boxes. I explained how heavy my dresser, chest-of-drawers - antiques from my grandmother - and bed were. They were put out by having to reach up and remove a curtain rod from the wall (they were both tall, 5'1"). They also unplugged cords from everything that had one. I had no idea where they put them. No, not with the items. I couldn't find the cord for the adjustable bed, computer and many other items. The heartbreak came when I saw the large, framed mirror I'd inherited. It was on the wall in her dining room forever, back to the 1940's. The top of the frame is nearly broken off and it is cracked in several more areas. The second and final day of moving I was handed the bill. $500. My jaw dropped. That is more than I paid a nationwide moving company just a few years before that. I do not recommend this company.

My moving job turned out to be bigger and messier than expected. but all of them were cheerful and smiling the entire two days while they worked very, very hard. Their manager, Legend, was very engaged and showed up a couple of times at the site to make sure I was happy with the service I was receiving. It was 100 degrees outside! But we'd paid for the shipper to bring in, set up and sign off and had no helpers available for days to come. After 2 days with no shipper response and wimpy store help, I called LC's Two Men and a Truck. They squeezed in early the next morning. Estaban, Ulises, and supervisor Legend were on time, prepared. This is our story: The Moving Company charged us over FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS to move our things. We were offered a supplemental insurance policy from the moving company itself, but the policy was so expensive we thought we'd never recoup the cost, even if they broke lots of things. We were WRONG. The list of items broken and destroyed is too long to list , but these are a few of the things that were broken and/or destroyed. An outdoor dining table---the movers actually told us that this happened when they decided that rather than carry the table the length of the van, they just SHOVED it to the exit, and snapped one of the legs off in the process; a handmade outdoor fountain with sculptured metal bamboo shoots mounted on a concrete base had the bamboo pieces broken completely off the base; a very heavy stone angel had one of the wings broken off; a Storyteller sculpture had several of the children broken off; a glass lamp was completely shattered--nothing left but the lampshade; a large metal accent piece with many arms was completely misshapen; a Lladro porcelain figurine had a large piece broken completely off; many, many serving pieces were broken and destroyed, along with crystal stemware with the stem snapped off. These are just a FEW of our ruined items. So you can see that these were not just small dishes and serving pieces. These were large, substantial pieces of art and furniture. We honestly began to feel that this had to be almost deliberate. There were things snapped off and broken off, and not as a result of a slight shift in packing. Not even things that we had pointed out as being valuable and important were packed in bubble wrap or Styrofoam, and certainly had no crating around them. We could understand a few broken pieces, but this was RIDICULOUS. In a subsequent call to the Moving Company, we were told that since our experience, things have changed. This company knows they are in the wrong. Moving is hard, even when it goes well. When you have thousands of dollars of damage done to your items, it becomes very personal. We were never offered an apology other than "we're sorry you're upset." In fact, in one reply to us, it was mentioned that we were just upset because we didn't take the extra insurance and so we were upset that we didn't get lots of money. We wonder, IF we had paid for more insurance, would they then have been more careful? If you have a choice, don't choose this company. I know they have had good reviews in the past, so we're just not sure what happened to us. But it could also happen to you.

However, I expect the company to resolve those issues, and, well, this has just not been the case. I was fine with my items arriving a full month after pickup. It was a long move (New Mexico to New York). I was fine with some of my furniture being scuffed up. Hey, it happens. What I'm not okay with is my missing twin mattresses. I don't own much furniture, so I'm not sure how this happened. I have also not heard anything from the company since the initial response that they would look into it (about six months). I've had movers lose things in the past, but not giant pieces of furniture. I don't have the money to replace them right now as mattresses are big ticket items, so my kids have been sleeping on air mattresses ever since. My other issue was that upon arrival with my items the only way to pay the remainder of what I owed was through Cash app or Apple Pay. I kept having issues with both and was offered no alternative. It turns out Cash app only allows $1000 to be sent in a single transaction, and all I needed to do was divide the amount I owed into two separate transactions, one right after the other. For a company that only accepts Cash app and Apple Pay as method of payment, this is critical information. I was having a panic attack the whole time they were unloading, thinking my bank had flagged it as fraud (it was late and the bank was closed), and the movers had nothing to say except "gee, I hope you get it figured out, otherwise we have to load your stuff back up and charge you another 500 dollars to bring it tomorrow". They were very polite but didn't seem very experienced with moving items.
