Our move was from El Paso to Washington state. We did our research and RJS seemed to have high ratings. We supplied almost 30 blankets to help protect our belongings; they had tape and rope. We had 2-16' PODS, which was ample space for our things, we arrived in El Paso with 23' ABF trailer that still had space in it. The only additional items to this move were the washer/dryer. The packers looked around, then just randomly started putting things in the PODS. I have never seen such a crap show! In the end, we had to give away...1 floor lamp, our safe, the mirror to a dresser, our patio table, a desk, and a few small items. Our vehicles were already packed up. There was plenty of space in the PODS as I could see from the back to the front. But I was told not to worry, they are the professionals. (?) I asked them to make sure to wrap my curio as it was mostly glass. Oh, sorry we have to more blankets. I offered large cardboard sheets to place around it. Once our PODS arrived at our new home, the doors wouldn't open and the load had shifted that much to block it. The team of movers arrived to unload and had to take pictures before they began so to be sure not to be liable for any initial damage that they saw when the PODS were open. They also took pictures as they unpacked it. Yes, it was bad. The placed a table saw against my curio which scratched the finish in various places as the cardboard they used was just crammed in there. They used packing tape to hold doors and drawers closed which caused the finish to come off with the tape. All 6 of my dining room chairs have scratches and gouges, my daughters new bedroom set has scratches/gouges and chunks missing, my refrigerator had deep scratches, Plastic storage bags I used for bedding/blankets/etc. where ripped open- I thought they would use them for cushions, totes were piled so high they collapsed and fell over. The unloading company was in awe when they started and said they were sorry (for something they didn't do) this happened. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND RJS TO ANYONE. IF I HAD THE HELP ON MY OWN, I COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB. WE HAVE MOVED ALOT AND I KNOW HOW IT GOES AND WHAT A GOOD JOB OF PACKING LOOKS LIKE. THIS WAS NOT IT. THEY SUCK! read more

I had a good experience with RJS Moving Services recently. Erico was really quick to give me a quote via Yelp. It took him less than an hour to get back to me. He answered all of my questions via Yelp and text messages. I suggest using Yelp for quotes on anything you may need for your home. Personally speaking, I've had some great experiences with this feature that Yelp offers. I had a good experience here with RJS and a landscaping company some months back. I also found the storage unit I'm using via Yelp quotes. Erico and his two movers made my transaction run smoothly. I wanted some items to be moved into a storage unit. The two men who were helping me were kind and polite. They worked pretty quick too. They took apart a large dresser fast! They also took some mattresses and other misc. items to the storage unit. The whole thing took around 2.5 hours. The price was alright, especially with that dresser. I know how heavy that thing is. I've had to assist with moving it in the past and it's definitely not fun! Also, everything was packed well and handled with care. The movers didn't just throw my things wherever in the storage unit. They were careful with the way they arranged everything in there. They had all of their own supplies, too. I would hire RJS again if I need to move more items. I found this moving company on a Friday afternoon, needed help the next morning and they were able to accommodate flawlessly! Communication was so easy, payments were made by invoice through Square. He kept in touch with me to let me know when the movers were on the way. I hired two movers, and got a uhual myself to save a bit of money. I packed chose to pack everything myself, although they do have the option to pack everything themselves. When they got there, they were very careful packing everything into the truck, tied everything down so it wouldn't rIsk moving or falling during the drive to the storage unit. The two gentlemen that came were very polite. I instructed them what all had to be done. They brought their own tape, dolly, moving blankets, and everything.
