I saw this Australian lamb on sale and I wanted to see if it tastes different from New Zealand lamb which I love. I usually get pre-seasoned and this did taste a little different. It still tasted delicious though! I just pan fry in butter. I've been eating more red meat like grass fed lamb because of the increased protein, brain health benefits and other nutrients. I'm really enjoying using food as medicine! This is a huge store and usually come early in mornings to avoid crowds. read more

I am writing to formally express my concern regarding an incident that occurred today at your Brimley location. While shopping with my husband and my 5 year old son, we were at the checkout when my son accidentally pressed the green button on the conveyor belt. In response, the cashier, MARIA of Cashier 7 today, this morning, August 30 2025, chose to yell at him in a manner that was loud, harsh, and completely inappropriate for addressing a young child. The lady after me with very young children looking at her, looking at us. As a parent, I was deeply upset by the way she handled the situation. I work in customer service myself, and I understand the challenges staff face. However, I also know that regardless of circumstances, it is never acceptable to lash out at a customer--especially a child. The tone and manner in which Maria spoke left my son shaken and created a very negative experience for our family. You traumatized my child, Maria. This is not the level of professionalism or care I expect from your stores. I kindly ask that this matter be reviewed, and that steps be taken to ensure employees are trained to manage situations with patience and respect. Customers, including children, deserve to feel safe and respected in your stores. We had come specifically looking for two items and were 0 for 2. No hand sanitizer and such a small selection Asian veggies. Good things about the superstore are that there's plenty of parking available, the aisles are wide, there's hot, prepared food ready if you're strapped for time in preparing meals, a large Joe Fresh clothing section, wine sold here, goodlife fitness centre for women upstairs and PC Optimum points. It's so nice going to the cashier and redeeming points instead of paying with cash or credit. read more

Right across Scarborough Town Center, this RCSS location is conveniently located and decently busy in the evenings. Weekday afternoons aren't too bad though. I usually stop by here on my way home from work when I need something specific like fresh Sourdough bread from the Bakery. The selection is always good, and the staff are friendly. read more

Wow, this place is quite large. It's a grocery store and they also sell patio furniture, clothing, etc. Plenty of parking is available. It's really spacious in here. Lots of options available, which is nice. Prices aren't the best, a lot of items are definitely cheaper at that other mega store that starts with the letter W. The Real Canadian Superstore does offer lots of variety though. I spotted many things that weren't available at some of the other grocery stores I visited. I like that they have self checkout. We were in and out in no time. I appreciate this grocery store being here, it's convenient for those who are in the area. read more

Open from 7 am to 11 pm 7 days a week!! I know though Real Canadian Superstore is not like Metro or Sobey's that are open 24 hours... However, Real Canadian Superstore is a lot more spacious, great selections of everything. Goodlife Fitness on the premises is great for people to workout and then go grocery shopping! 10% discount every Tuesdays with student or university ID. OK, I was not really grocery shopping... but junk food shopping.. I went in at 8 AM to buy Smartfood Popcorn that was on sale for $2.44. read more

Writing this for good life fitness! As a person who went to 3 different gyms before I came to this one I am extremely impressed of the staffs behaviour and how they clean the machines after it's used. When I first went in I was EXTREMELY surprised of how nice the staff were when they were checking me in. After I finished checking in, I went straight for the machines to get my workout in, and there's not that many people so that's definitely a plus! Later when I finished my workout I wiped down the machines BUT there's always an employee who can help goes around and wipes down the machines after each person is done!!! (this is the part where they impressed me the most. ) At the end of the hour when everyone leaves they do an amazing job cleaning and wiping down all of the equipment. Overall I am extremely happy about this location and I think I found my number 1 gym! Hope you guys read this ! read more

I wanted to pick up dinner since this grocery store has a great hot ready to go prepared food section. Well, my good fortune was rewarded because the Wednesday special is $8.00 for 8 pieces of (white meat) chicken tenders with potatoes; both are baked and not fried. As a bonus, one combo was reduced 30% for quick sale! My trip was only for the hot meal although I've shopped here a few times before. It's a very large store with many departments including a wine & beer venue, cooking classes upstairs, a fitness centre, etc. Anyhow, it takes awhile to remember where your favourite items are located; I somewhat found it confusing maybe because the place is so large and the aisles very wide. The store is fine in terms of goods and customer service. The problem is they do not enforce their COVID policy. They have signs up saying masks are Mandatory, but when alerted that there are customers without masks on, they do nothing. I see the same douchebag walking through the store and no one has stopped them. Mask policy seems to be corporate lip service, not a real commitment to customer health and safety. This RCSS is one of my go-to supermarkets. If you know me, you'll know I love a good deal. I'm all about the coupon+PC offers+price match+no tax days combo breakers. When you walk inside you'll see a little display with coupons hanging at the top and the flyers on the bottom. I usually quickly scroll through the flyer and see if anything I need that is on sale on the flyer is featured on one of the coupons. I'll make a mental note and let my shopping trip begin! (I also screenshot deals from other competitors' flyers beforehand for le pricematching, but that's just my brain choosing to be awfully frugal and strange.) Sometimes they'll have people standing around the supermarket trying to get you to sign up for a PC credit card. If you have one, they can offer you additional deals and will load them on your credit card. The place is clean and spacious which means even when it gets hectic on the weekends you won't be sandwiched by other people's shopping carts. I usually buy produce, meat, and cute seasonal items here. (They have these snow globe cookie tins that come back every Christmas and make such a cute tin to house holiday baked goods!) If you're a female Goodlife member, you might appreciate the fact that there's a Goodlife gym upstairs albeit a tiny one. If you like to price match like me but forgot your screenshots or flyers, fret not! The self-checkout help counter keeps competitors' flyers so you can flip through them before checking out. Pro tip: be a thoughtful couponer/price-matcher and do not do my favorite kind of combo during RCSS peak hours because you will get death stares. Do note that they have changed their price matching policy and won't price match with all grocers' flyers. read more

This RCSS location is a short driving commute for me. They got a spacious parking lot and it's near Hwy 401, so the convenience factor is there. I often come to this RCSS location for groceries they got a wide variety of choices for fresh and dry produces. To add to this, I find their fruits have higher turnover rate, so the fruits will always be fresh. The general perception of this RCSS location is they are very tidy and the staff are helpful. And this place is huge, I can spend an hour or more just to pick out all my groceries to help me by reducing an extra trip to another store. read more

Located right across Scarborough Town Center this RCSS location is always busy. It's not too different from other superstore locations in the suburbs- bright, clean, nothing too special. Disappointed that this location doesn't have a great flower shop like a few other locations I have visited- the flowers just looked sad and were just placed in a corner of the store. At other locations there is a staff person/register and the flowers are displayed nicely and they have a refrigerator for fresh flowers/roses. They also have plants. This location had none of that. It looked like the left behind flowers. The one thing this location has over others is that their international section is quite large and has a great variety of items. I usually come here if I need something specific and they have it. The one by my house doesn't carry a huge international selection unfortunately. read more

Evening trip to Real Canadian Superstore last night to pickup some groceries was very troubling. About a dozen cartons of yogurt sitting on the shelf 7 days past their expiration date, cartons themselves sweating, pupple of water on the dirty shelf indicating the fridge isn't even working properly. Not a single person in any of the aisles available to inquire my concern to. I packed all the yogurt cartons into one of those green crates they use for milk and sent it straight down the conveyor to the stock room. Hopefully they don't just put these things back on the shelf. Mind boggling they don't check and remove expired dairy products, major health hazard. CFIA would have a field day with these guys. Take extra precatuions when purchasing from here. read more

This monster of a store is visible from the 401, and if you live anywhere in the area, you've been watching its construction for years. Once in a big pile of nothing, all of a sudden the "Village" at Scarborough Town Centre has sprung up into a suburban outdoor mall, albeit across the street and annoying to get to without a car. The biggest part of the Village is this Superstore, which is ENORMOUS. So big that I don't want to fluff up the review, so I'll get down to the basics. GOOD: - Joe Fresh Style! Great clothes, cheap prices. This location puts a LOT of stuff on sale as well, I've snatched up a couple tank tops for $2.98 and dresses and shoes for $9.99. Absolutely love it. - Good Life location upstairs! Only good if you're a woman though, sorry guys. - Decent sales on groceries. Cheap fruit and veg sometimes, decent selection of PC products and efficient deli counter. - Lots of takeaway food. If you're too lazy to cook, they have a ton of pre-made stuff to bring home. Would be even better if this was close to where I work... - Big Housewares section, big drugstore, big magazine rack, everything is big, big, big. TONS of staff to accommodate the huge store. - They charge for bags so everyone has to use reusable ones! Yay! Expect to hear lots of grumbling from the elderly about this. Also they have a decent organic/health food section but some of their stuff is crazy expensive. BAD: - Everything is TOO big. It takes two hours to go through the entire store, and even I, a lover of grocery shopping, do not want to be in here for two hours. Also the store seems to be designed in the opposite way of every other grocery store -- shouldn't all the produce be on the left side instead of the right? When I shop here I end up going backwards, which is dangerous because Joe Fresh is on the left and there is the possibility I will spend all my money on clothes instead of food. - Sometimes things are ridiculously overpriced. Generally I'd rather go to No Frills or Price Chopper to save those extra cents. INTERESTING: - Usually there is a lineup for the self checkout and there are 5 or 6 cashiers sitting there with nothing to do. A supermarket/department store with plentiful space to manoeuvre around when pushing a shopping cart. THAT'S what I love about this place!!! Fairly clean and very vibrant lighting. A good selection of everyday products. Pricing may be a bit higher but they do have their fair share of products on sale from time to time. Fair sized parking lot too. Located right by Best Buy and within the Scarborough Town Centre grounds. You can't miss it! read more

Shelves are messy as if a tornado hit it, the deli counter is closed every time I visit, items consistently out of stock (basic items such as lettuce and onions), extremely crowded with no one at the doors counting customers under COVID restrictions. 9:50pm. Saturday night. Thirsty in Scarborough. I wanted grape juice. All the other supermarkets are closed (or closing) and Metro seemed like a far drive for my lazy friend and I. So she says, "let's stop at the Superstore". I said "sure", thinking Superstore was code for where all Scarboroughnians go when things close early. I went in for juice. It was supposed to take 10 minutes. I came out an hour later with juice...and pillows. I just went in for juice! Canadian Superstore is like a PC supermarket masquerading as a Costco. It's huge, it's got almost everything under the sun and they make you buy stuff if you have a PC account. Okay, they don't really make you, but I have a PC account and it's not just coincidence that I was in a Superstore AND needed pillows at a time when my shopping resolve was low. I bought microfibre gel pillows. I've never seen them anywhere else so I was amazed to find pillows that felt down-filled but were not actually down filled. If you've ever suffered constant asthma attacks in your sleep, you'd know how important that difference is. After picking up the pillows, I then had a conscience war about whether to pick up luxury hotel-style sheets. I'm telling you, it was PC mind control in the Superstore!! However, after realizing I had strayed from my purpose, it took forever to find juice. Apparently pop, energy drinks/water and fruit juice will NOT be in the same aisle. They are all in 3 separate aisles. And when we asked the sales associate, he answered "aisle 3" like we should've known that. I almost felt like telling him, "hey, I'm not a Scarboroughnian, I don't come here everyday after 9pm!" Even our cashier didn't seem happy to help. She didn't say a word to us. Even when I told her I was paying by debit, I had to ask her if I could swipe because she didn't say anything. Nothing is priced any better than most PC stores. My juice would've cost the same at No Frills. But since buying those pillows, I haven't woken up with my neck sore for the first time in months. They get 5 stars for that. I would've given more if it wasn't so big and deceiving, with unenthusiastic employees. In the end, the whole experience left me slightly dumbfounded. Plus, the dog we had left in the freezing car for the supposed 10 minutes seemed very angry at us. read more

Some places just never change! I used to work at this location when I was in High School and it looks the same every time I come here I remember those days. What I like about this location is the selection and variety of brands in all the foods that I like, especially the coffee selection. Also I really hate it when I got to a supermarket to buy bananas and they are green! I do not eat green bananas I eat yellow ones, and this please always has ripe beautiful yellow bananas. This has become the benchmark by which I judge the quality of a supermarket - how yellow are your bananas? - It may seem stupid but it works for me. read more

When you walk in it's fairly tight - lots of set ups in the front of the store I guess due to the store wanting you to notice products quicker and catch your eye as you enter. What I like most about this location is that there is a Joe Fresh located within the vicinity so plenty of time to shop. Upstairs there is also a Goodlife for Women and the aisles are fairly tidy. Near the electronics section there's a bargain bin full of goodies and lots of interesting sections like tableware, christmas decor (during that time of year), some toys, games for your gaming consoles and many other items for your every day necessities. There's also a section for stationary or school items near the Joe Fresh area as well as a Magazine and book aisle. I can always count on them carrying a wide range of products and some of the newer products being advertised on tv. There was only one time where they ran out of Glucerna drinks since they were sold out due to the great bargain deal that they had going on at the time. I will say that although there are plenty of tills open there are only a few cashiers open at a time. Also some veggies can be slightly more expensive than at BestCo or Food Basics. read more

But recently I have found that even the stuff they advertise on sale is usually not available or unstocked and they fail to stock items that are advertised elsewhere and eligible for price matching. This is a great store, it has everything you need. Well organized, clean and spacious. Checkouts are easy because they have many cashiers on hand. You can find groceries, clothes, electronics, home appliances, furniture, and more. They also offer cooking lessons, which is fun. The only thing I don't like about this store is the prices- they are on the higher end. So I always go shopping on Tuesdays, so that I can buy items on sale with an additional 10% off (students and seniors). read more

Order from this store delivered by Instacart. Absolute worst experience. Items are constantly unavailable. This is a big supermarket and they can't keep simple items like bananas and chocolate milk in stock? I'm always getting the incorrect items or items that are a few days within the expiry date. If it wasn't for the pandemic I wouldn't use this service ever again. RCS has a online ordering system but the order gets delivered by Instacart. The staff is well trained and nice. But the store loses points due it being organized in the most frustrating way. Eggs, milk and refrigerated juices are at the back of the store. Cheese and butter are in a completely different aisle, yogurt is in yet another aisle, and alternative milks are in a completely different part of the store... the entire store is non-intuitively designed. And because there are 143 aisles, none of them are labelled well enough to tell you what's actually in them. Maybe if you go there repeatedly, you start to think like the 10 year old with undiagnosed ADHD who was put in charge of the layout. Also, how does a store that has way too much food manage to be out of stock of so much stuff? Is there a superstore app, where you type in what you want, and then they tell you where in the labyrinth of tomatoes, underwear, and patio furniture you can find maple syrup? But again... This location is my favourite to visit. It has a fish market, a butcher, and Joe Fresh. I always find great deals (you need to search them out; they love putting out their `50%` stickers out). First off, i got to say, i read the comment below mines about the PC pillows. That day, i had a very sore/stiff neck and i tried to do a bunch of things to get rid of it. Then i remembered that review. So, my boyfriend and I decided to go to the superstore and buy the pillow and a few groceries. I said to him, hey! Why not buy groceries that will last us for a while instead of going every other day to buy groceries. Save us a lot of money on gas and time...esp if most of the groceries we want are here. We bought a cart full of groceries and the pillow, but hey! It was totally worth it. I got to say I saved a little bit of money comparing if I bought my groceries at food basics or metro. As for the pillow. I'm telling you..it is God sent. Usually when I have a bad stiff neck, it takes about 3+ days for me even to move it a little to the left/right. The next day after I bought that pillow, i slowly started to move my neck normally again. 2 days later, no pain at all! In fact, I've gotten some of the best sleep ever. And trust me, I am very picky with pillows. Usually when I buy pillows, it's either too stiff or too plushy? I'm so happy I read the review bellow and went to the superstore that day. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Avoid!! I'd give NO star if possible. I went here today looking for lactose free cream cheese (I had been told theycarry it.) Asked in the deli dept & was told "we don't have any, try aisle 8". Went to aisle 8, none there and found another staff member and told to try Green section, not there either. I then went to customer service, told them what I was looking for and it wasn't in the deli dept (had asked there), aisle 8 or the Green section. Customer service told me they have it in the deli dept (obviously they did NOT listen to me). I told them ***their own staff in the deli dept said they didn't have any.*** They replied someone asked for it last week and it WAS in the deli dept. I repeated what their staff told me and asked why were they contradicting what THEIR OWN STAFF HAD TOLD ME? They then called the deli dept. First they asked ***IF I had been there asking**** for this item!! The deli dept said yes, I had been there (I WAS TELLING THEM THE TRUTH) and the deli dept said, no they didn't have any (verifing what I had said). End of conversation, No apology of any kind (especially for questioning my truthfulness. I realize stores can be out of stock for an item sometimes but why did they send me on a wild goose chase instead of saying "I'm sorry, it's out of stock right now"? Why did the customer service rep feel it necessary to check to see if I was telling the truth? I've NEVER had ANY customer service rep in ANY store ANYWHERE question my honesty before. My first time in the store in several years. Since then, I have changed my diet. I was so happy to see that this store had organic salad greens, carrots, and potatoes. They even had organic berries and apples! I am so glad I don't have to trek downtown or to Whole Foods for this stuff. Only problem was that the organic salad greens were not fresh even though they were nowhere close to being expired, and the same for the organic spinach. I bought them anyway and ate half. This was a big disappointment, since these are a staple for me and I have been buying them for years at other stores. Wonder if it is a temperature issue with the store's refrigeration. Anyway, I plan to give the store another chance because I badly need a healthy place closer to home. read more

The prices are not the best, but the front end staff could use a massive improvement. Then again; alot of Grocery stores have issues with those who work at Service Desk have attitudes; odd I guess you get a Job when your rude to customers and other employees. DON'T BUY YOUR FISH from this store! I bought "fresh Atlantic salmon" from this store last Saturday and it started smelling in my fridge by Tuesday. The best before date said December 19th - today. I JUST WANTED TO SAY HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS STORE. I Grew up here and now live in the US. Meats are generally Quite pricey here ( compared to the US), but much better than most stores. The one thing that I felt I needed to write about were the many disgruntled employees I encountered on my visit. The bakery staff that were unhappy and grumpy and a employee in the meat section that seemed to bark at others in his team. Also in the egg section, we were really surprised to see sooo many eggs beneath the shelves that had dropped and been left in the fridge, seemingly over a few visit. read more

Saturday I bought their roast beef that was on special and took it out of the fridge Sunday and couldn't believe how rotten it was. I've been coming here for years and ordering full slab cakes for parties. Not sure if something recently changed in the bakery department but I'm definitely not pleased about the "Frozen" themed cake I had at my daughters party. There was too much whipped cream icing and it definitely was not at the standards that I expected. I will order elsewhere next time. read more
