Very cute store with various odd pieces of furniture that would be excellent accent pieces --some of them were re-purposed or refinished and that was cool to see how you can take an ugly old piece of furniture put a coat of vibrant turquoise blue paint on it and suddenly you have a very fabulous piece of furniture that gives your room pop.....there were some smaller items here like pictures, candle holders, little decorative pieces....what was really weird is the store was open and lights were on but we never once saw another human in the store and we were in there for well over 10 minutes ---good thing we are honest people but it was really strange to not see an employee---what if I did want to buy something???

My adult son and I pickled out a couple items that I thought I wanted to purchase for our friends that helped us with writing my husband's Caring-bridge . I made an effort to return 2 days later before my husband was discharged from St. Mary's and I went in to purchase an item and have it wrapped and the sales person said she was alone and she would not be able to wrap it for me. I understand. She maybe could have asked if I could come back in a bit? I said that I understood but could she maybe put the wrap in the bag so I could wrap the gift my self and she said "no" we have a certain standard to our wrapping. "Ok." I said. I did not then need the item. We drove home from our Mayo visit and I bought the item on line and wrapped it myself last night. I would have preferred to have purchased it there at the store and have had a nice experience..

I am reviewing Miracle Mile Shopping Center for sentimental reasons. I recently dined at Denny's…read morenext door to this plaza. Although it deems itself as the oldest shopping centre in Rochester, it's really a plaza. It was established in 1952 and there was a major fire in 1971. I'm happy to report that these events were both well before my time! I dropped by this plaza a handful of times as a resident of Rochester. There used to be a gift shop that sold Midwest of Cannon Falls s'mores characters. I bought a few of these characters as Christmas ornaments and a larger one that was a lamp. They are still with me to this day, but this company folded, as did this gift shop. Cannon Falls is maybe a twenty-minute drive northwest of Rochester. I don't recognize that town since I moved away. It's the same about Miracle Mile. Hom Furniture is one of two businesses that rings a bell. There's a new grocery store called Fresh Thyme Market. I exited Highway 52 and you can't miss this supermarket's large sign from it. I'd estimate that there are roughly thirty businesses in this plaza. Olmsted Medical Center is still kicking around, which is the other place that has endured. This plaza is perfect for folks who live close by and don't want the bustling feel of being downtown. This shopping plaza is roughly two blocks away from the Mayo Clinic's St. Mary's Campus. There is plenty of parking at Miracle Mile. I'll need to check this plaza out more closely when I'm back again and it's not my final full day in Minnesota, especially Fresh Thyme Market. It was quite the flashback heading over here. So much change here. Even the Hardee's across the street is gone! (47)

Meh. This shopping center is not worth going out of your way for unless you work in Downtown…read moreRochester or are a student of the University of Minnesota Rochester (UMR). Although it is open 7 days a week, there are less than 30 stores, and in my opinion, only one restaurant that looks worthy of dining at. All shops and restaurants are located underneath UMR between Broadway and 1st Ave., and is within walking distance of Mayo Clinic and a few other neighboring hotels. I'm not clear on where the parking area is, however, parking is free at night and on weekends. Check this place out anyway. Your opinion might differ.

As I was trying to place the beads in their proper spot of course, a worker, I believe the manager, Mary maybe told me that she was going to walk me up to the front of the store. I told her I didn't need a chauffeur. I then realized what was going on. They were accusing me of trying to steal. I am completely and utterly disgusted by this store. I paid my $89 bill and that is the LAST time I will EVER be shopping there. Insane.
