This restaurant is so yummy! We came for lunch and I really enjoyed it! I loved that they had so much seating and they also had outdoor seating and the space is large outside! I loved that you ordered at the counter and then they brought my food! Which was very nice! The portions are also huge and the food is amazing! I can't wait to come back!

Great tacos, fresh ingredients and always great portions! The customer service is abrupt, not personable but people skills don't deteriorate the amazing tacos. I'm still a regular. Still ask for tips at the window. Stingy on their salsa. Did I say they have amazing tacos?! Fish tacos, chicken and Al pastor, all delicious!

The new patio is really fabulous, and we love the new house made cocktails. The nachos are way filling and love how loaded they are with different toppings. 2 things though... They have some chairs on the patio that no one likes - every time we go we ended up having a discussion with other patrons about the super low black chairs, they need to switch those out! It's like musical chairs out there to avoid the black chairs. The vegetarian tamale isn't so great, I'll be sticking with the always fabulous vegetarian burrito for now.

Came out for the grand opening of the dog friendly patio of Real Taqueria, and it was such a a treat for us and our pup! Everything from the service, to food was excellent, along with the vibes/layout of the patio area. We got some tacos, a quesadilla, and mole. While the carne asada tacos were good, the barbacoa quesadilla was excellent, so tender and flavorful, with a ton of spices, but the star of the show was the chicken mole! I wouldn't have considered myself a mole fan before, but this was excellent, just so well cooked with so much smoky chocolatey flavor! Along with the meal, their hot sauces are amazing, as well as their aguas frescas! We will definitely be back!

I ordered a burrito and tacos for myself and my hubby. WOW the portions were huge! You are definitely getting your money's worth here. The service was also quick and friendly and the vibes are festive. Great spot.

Real Taqueria isn't your typical local taqueria where they're serving street tacos; their taco and burrito portions are large and fulfilling. This place very much tailors to the local demographic. We found that although the food was filling, it wasn't the typical street taco taqueria we were looking for. The al pastor and pollo asado meats were tender but not very flavorful in our opinion. We find less is more for our tacos and burritos, and we were just a little too overwhelmed by the toppings and fillings. Very cute building + interior and nice staff.

We tried Real's aioli salsa at Sauce Lake City in September and were hooked immediately! We picked up tacos for take-away while my in-laws were in town over Thanksgiving week and they hit the spot for sure! We all tried their chicken tacos, my father in law tried their barbacoa, my husband tried their asada steak and tongue, and I tried their fish taco. They all came complete with carmelized onions, cilantro, lime wedges, and radish slices as well as an array of their sauces to sample. The tacos were definitely on the lighter street taco side and exactly what we were looking for. We look forward to coming back as well as dining in in the future! They also have a great promotion where you can get a discount on a jar of salsa if you return your previous jar. We replaced our jar of their signature aioli salsa and know we'll be licking the jar clean in the weeks to come!

Saw this place based on previous Yelp reviews. Reviews are spot on. This is a seriously legit taqueria. Inside was super clean and the kitchen was busy. The Al Pastor tacos were free to flavored, and well paired w condiments. Classic taco w chicken was very tasty w fresh ingredients. The star was the tamales, moist and flavorful. The plantain leaf chicken tamale was warm and also super moist, chicken was tender w a small kick of spice. Will definitely come back w family and friends.

    Are there veggie friendly options?

Yes. They have a veggie taco, I'm sure you could do it in burrito form too. Their nachos are yummy and veggie friendly. They also have a salad you could get. Check out the menu pictures for more details.

Like always, Yelp helped me find another great spot! We were traveling through Utah and this was…read moreour first food stop of the trip. It definitely did NOT disappoint! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was very clean. First of all, Muertos Cantina is a total vibe! The inside is so cool with fluorescent lighting, colorful decor and bottles displayed beautifully behind the bar. Even the bathrooms are worth mentioning! Each one is decorated differently with tons of bright colors. Seriously, each bathroom is like its own little fiesta sanctuary. Now for the FOOD! They start you off with fresh tortilla chips and a trio of salsas, and the chips were AMAZING (especially the flour chips). Each salsa had its own completely different flavor. The Red Chile Arbol had some heat, the Chipitle Lime Crema was smooth & creamu, and then there was the milder Tomatillo Verde, which was my favorite. Soooo good! We also tried the Agua Frescas. They were refreshing, flavorful and really pretty to look at. The watermelon was probably our least favorite, but to me anything watermelon flavored can sometimes taste a little watered down. The pineapple was definitely the winner because it was way more flavorful and satisfying. Then came the Elote Corn Dip. YUMMY! It had fire roasted corn, cheese, spices, crema, pico de gallo, cilantro and Tajín. It had so much flavor and texture. Definitely one I would order again. My daughter chose the Birria Ramen, and I think this might have been her favorite part of the meal. It had slow cooked beef birria, consommé, melty cheese and ramen noodles with cilantro and red onions, plus lime and radishes on the side. It had a little spice to it and was absolutely packed with flavor. She loved it! My husband ordered one of their burritos with a side of tater tots. The kid in him was VERY happy that tater tots were an option. And FYI the burritos here are HUGE. I ordered the Smothered Spicy Chile Verde Burrito, and OMG. It had braised pork in chile verde sauce with rice and refried black beans, wrapped in a flour tortilla and then smothered with MORE chile verde, melted cheese and chipotle lime crema. It was MASSIVE and SO GOOD! I honestly have yet to find anything in Reno that compares to this one. I would order it again in a heartbeat. And whatever you do, SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT! We got the churro beignets, and they were fantastic. Covered in cinnamon sugar and drizzled with caramel and condensed milk... seriously, what more do you need? They were the perfect way to finish the meal. Muertos Cantina ended up being such a great first stop on our Utah trip. Fun atmosphere, really good food, huge portions and so many different flavors. Again the atmosphere set the entire vibe for our meal. Yelp came through for me again!

The food is still very good here and some of my previous gripes are no longer an issue. I can now order tacos and burritos à la carte again. While there is still no way to go pick whatever salsa I want and the options are still more limited than before, at least they bring out 3 of my favorites with the chips now. The drinks are still just okay , a shadow of their former selves and I will never be able to accept the loss of my beloved watermelon margarita, the way they used to make it, but I will concede the drinks are decent. Service was fine. Parking is a hassle but that's just Sugarhouse. ‍ So yeah, I guess I'm back to "willing to eat here once in a while", from "I'm never eating here again". They even have a nice taco Tuesday deal which I may hit up in the near future.

I was pleasantly surprised by the decor inside, they have spent a great deal for this location. I ordered chips and salsa to start. These were not complimentary but when they arrived the salsa was fresh and unique. I was glad I ordered them. My wife chose the carne asada burrito. She raved about the flavor and could only finish half. I ordered a unique taco which had an authentic name this gringo cannot remember but it was built on a house made corn tortilla about twenty inches long and ten inches wide. Steak, Mexican cream, tomatillo sauce, freshly shredded lettuce and cheese. I've never had anything like it but it is awesome. The service was quick and efficient. Very delightful people. The check had included a 15% Service Charge so I was glad to see the options on the screen to add a tip began at a level that matched up with the service charge at a reasonable level. Food: interesting salsa, includes celery, tad too watery, but decent. I got the Chihuahua Combo which came with a Chili verde enchilada, beef enchilada and a chili relleno. Chili Verde Enchilada: the flour tortilla was doughy and I couldn't eat it. The chili Verde however was really good, with a nice picante spice. Chili Relleno was good, though the egg batter was a tad bit wet, maybe eat that first. Beef Enchilada disappointed as it was just ground beef. Overall the taste was good, just disappointed with some aspects of the dish. We got the Mango Duckie drink which was good. The wife doesn't like Mexican food so she got the adult version of chicken strips, which were fine. Atmosphere: loud, lots of TVs showing FIFA Word cup. Great Mexican feel.
