Great tacos, fresh ingredients and always great portions! The customer service is abrupt, not personable but people skills don't deteriorate the amazing tacos. I'm still a regular. Still ask for tips at the window. Stingy on their salsa. Did I say they have amazing tacos?! Fish tacos, chicken and Al pastor, all delicious!

The new patio is really fabulous, and we love the new house made cocktails. The nachos are way filling and love how loaded they are with different toppings. 2 things though... They have some chairs on the patio that no one likes - every time we go we ended up having a discussion with other patrons about the super low black chairs, they need to switch those out! It's like musical chairs out there to avoid the black chairs. The vegetarian tamale isn't so great, I'll be sticking with the always fabulous vegetarian burrito for now.

Came out for the grand opening of the dog friendly patio of Real Taqueria, and it was such a a treat for us and our pup! Everything from the service, to food was excellent, along with the vibes/layout of the patio area. We got some tacos, a quesadilla, and mole. While the carne asada tacos were good, the barbacoa quesadilla was excellent, so tender and flavorful, with a ton of spices, but the star of the show was the chicken mole! I wouldn't have considered myself a mole fan before, but this was excellent, just so well cooked with so much smoky chocolatey flavor! Along with the meal, their hot sauces are amazing, as well as their aguas frescas! We will definitely be back!

I ordered a burrito and tacos for myself and my hubby. WOW the portions were huge! You are definitely getting your money's worth here. The service was also quick and friendly and the vibes are festive. Great spot.

Classic al pastor, shrimp taco, and pollo asado tacos.

Real Taqueria isn't your typical local taqueria where they're serving street tacos; their taco and burrito portions are large and fulfilling. This place very much tailors to the local demographic. We found that although the food was filling, it wasn't the typical street taco taqueria we were looking for. The al pastor and pollo asado meats were tender but not very flavorful in our opinion. We find less is more for our tacos and burritos, and we were just a little too overwhelmed by the toppings and fillings. Very cute building + interior and nice staff.

We tried Real's aioli salsa at Sauce Lake City in September and were hooked immediately! We picked up tacos for take-away while my in-laws were in town over Thanksgiving week and they hit the spot for sure! We all tried their chicken tacos, my father in law tried their barbacoa, my husband tried their asada steak and tongue, and I tried their fish taco. They all came complete with carmelized onions, cilantro, lime wedges, and radish slices as well as an array of their sauces to sample. The tacos were definitely on the lighter street taco side and exactly what we were looking for. We look forward to coming back as well as dining in in the future! They also have a great promotion where you can get a discount on a jar of salsa if you return your previous jar. We replaced our jar of their signature aioli salsa and know we'll be licking the jar clean in the weeks to come!

We arrived before two other parties, but they forgot about us. However, the staff was very kind and offered us some guacamole and chips as an apology. Unfortunately, the food wasn't very appetizing. I think you'd be better off going to Rancherito down the street. it's much more affordable.

Some of the best Mexican food I've had! I ordered 2 tacos, one Asada and one Al pastor. They were both amazing. Very good and very flavorful. They were good with the avocado salsa. They were filling. I ordered a horchata and it was so good and creamy. Also had a good amount of cinnamon. I ordered a kids quesadilla and a side of rice for my 2 year old daughter. She loved the rice so much. The quesadilla was huge but also good. It was good dipped in the real salsa. My brother ordered the enchiladas and the sauce on them were dang good! They also have a doggy friendly patio so we had our little dog with us and we got a doggy meal for her which is a little quesadilla. The only negative thing is the parking lot is small. We had to park by rancheritos. The line to order was long and didn't move the fastest but once I ordered the food came out within 5 minutes. Still deserves 5 stars, had such a great experience and will definitely be back!

I went at 7:15 on a Tuesday night and was pleasantly surprised that I easily found parking. The place was SO LOUD that I couldn't understand much of what the cashier was saying. Glad I had a friend there because I was baffled. I think she also didn't want to give straight answers about what I should order so she wouldn't be accountable if we didn't like what we got? Hard to say though. Maybe she couldn't hear me either! Because of the noise, we ate on the patio which was very nice and empty because it was a little cold. My friend and I split the nachos because of all the rave reviews here and I have to say y'all set the bar too high. They were good but not best in Utah good like so many of you said. My friend and I appreciated the toppings on every chip. You definitely have to eat with a fork because if anything there aren't enough chips for the amount of toppings. Pretty good. My friend and I agreed 4 star nachos. Tasted like a deconstructed burrito with all that rice.

First timer at this spot, and I loved it! I tried the steak and grilled chicken tacos. They were great! The piña (pinapple) agua fresca is freakin' fantastic. The woman at the front was welcoming. And everything about the decor in this place is wonderful. I ate outside and it was perfect. I love all the colors and the bobcat logo. Very hip with authentic Mexican food. 'Nuff said.

Fast, gracious service. Good tacos, reasonably priced. Hard to find a quality lunch for less than $10 these days.

Are there veggie friendly options?

Yes. They have a veggie taco, I'm sure you could do it in burrito form too. Their nachos are yummy and veggie friendly. They also have a salad you could get. Check out the menu pictures for more details.

Absolutely delicious!…read more I got a BOGO free burrito coupon from their FB feed, so why not? So glad I did! I had the spicy green chili burrito--delicious! Smothered inside and out with their very fine green chili. The tortillas seem homemade, it was fresh and good. My wife had the carne asada burrito. I got a bite of it and the beef is delicious! Such good flavors. I also had the pinto beans and rice, both are very good. The horchata, made with almond milk, was creamy and just the right amount of cinnamon and sweet. They serve flour and corn tortilla chips with three salsas. The chips were excellent. The flour chips are deep fried, really good. The red salsa was the hottest but not bad for heat. The green was good. Now the crema sauce was my favorite, it is really excellent. Nice restaurant, comfortable chairs, nice decor that goes along with their theme. Looks like a comfortable bar. Service was friendly and accommodating. I would like to eat here again and take advantage of the FB coupon for their tacos. Highly recommended! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

They've remodeled in the past three years and I really like what they've done! Beautiful decor and it's now a sit down restaurant, which I really like!! Menu is very similar, but expanded! They brought delicious chips and 3 salsas to the table! The crème one was my favorite!! I got a Pacifico to drink and my husband got a Corona nonalcoholic. I went for the Chicken Mole taco with a side of black beans and rice! Absolutely delicious!! My husband got the Bean and Cheese taco and the Impossible meat taco with a side of tots! Service was great! I'm so glad we finally made it back! Really want to come more frequently!! Also heard they have good breakfast tacos in the morning! Will try those next!

I was pleasantly surprised by the decor inside, they have spent a great deal for this location. I ordered chips and salsa to start. These were not complimentary but when they arrived the salsa was fresh and unique. I was glad I ordered them. My wife chose the carne asada burrito. She raved about the flavor and could only finish half. I ordered a unique taco which had an authentic name this gringo cannot remember but it was built on a house made corn tortilla about twenty inches long and ten inches wide. Steak, Mexican cream, tomatillo sauce, freshly shredded lettuce and cheese. I've never had anything like it but it is awesome. The service was quick and efficient. Very delightful people. The check had included a 15% Service Charge so I was glad to see the options on the screen to add a tip began at a level that matched up with the service charge at a reasonable level. I only had one complaint, The music was a little loud. The sound system is great and I loved the authentic music but the baseline was pumping loud enough to hurt my ears. I'd recommend adjusting the volume or the mix to make it a little more comfortable. Overall I loved this experience and will definitely want to come again. No pictures, sorry.

FAST review I may be…read morePuro Gringo but I know my Mexican food. We saw a post on Instagram about the Duckie drink at El Chihuahua, so had to give it a try. Food: interesting salsa, includes celery, tad too watery, but decent. I got the Chihuahua Combo which came with a Chili verde enchilada, beef enchilada and a chili relleno. Chili Verde Enchilada: the flour tortilla was doughy and I couldn't eat it. The chili Verde however was really good, with a nice picante spice. Chili Relleno was good, though the egg batter was a tad bit wet, maybe eat that first. Beef Enchilada disappointed as it was just ground beef. Overall the taste was good, just disappointed with some aspects of the dish. We got the Mango Duckie drink which was good. The wife doesn't like Mexican food so she got the adult version of chicken strips, which were fine. Atmosphere: loud, lots of TVs showing FIFA Word cup. Great Mexican feel. Everyone was enjoying the restaurant! Service: our waitress Deisy was awesome! Tips: get the Duckie!

I never wanted to write a bad review about a favorite of mine, but tonight may have curved our decision on coming here again. Our plates of food came to the table like slop. Our server barely asked how our meal was or if we wanted more to drink, and dropped our paid check off without saying thank you, come back again or kiss my A$$! The days of spending $100 on slop food and bad service has infiltrated El C and I hate it. We walk to come here from our neighborhood. I'd rather drive somewhere else new- and hope for the best.
