Wow, wow, WOW! This is the first time I ate here, and boy, I was blown away with the flavors in the dishes prepared and served! The outing, as I call these eating feasts with my group, was set up like a buffet-styled dining where a group of 14 diners enjoyed a variety of Filipino-Thai dishes, which also included one Thai iced tea or coffee and a halo halo dessert for each diner. Representing Filipino, these dishes were pancit canton noodle dish w/shrimp, pork adobo, chicken and pork BBQ skewers, and garlic fried rice (vegetarian). Representing Thai, the dishes were pad see ew with beef, eggplant with tofu (vegetarian), pad kra pow with crispy pork belly, and chop suey vegetables with Thai house sauce (vegetarian). We also ate tempura shrimp, fish cakes, and lumpia as appetizers. I started my first plate with a scoop of garlic fried rice, a chicken BBQ skewer, some pork adobo pieces, eggplant with tofu, pancit canton noodle, pad kra pow, and chop suey veggies. Added all of the appetizers too. As I enjoyed eating the food on my plate, I focused on the flavors and the spices used in each dish, the texture of each food item, and how each item I ate made me feel. My top favorite dishes were the cancit canton noodle, pork adobo, chicken skewer, and the fish cake. These dishes were amazing. The spices used to bring these dishes were the next level of deliciousness. I enjoyed everything else I ate except for the spices used in the crispy pork belly for the pad kra pow, and I found the halo halo dessert, which is very colorful to see and mixed, was way too sweet for me. Asking for the group's feedback and what were their favorite dishes and why, they wrote their favorites were the eggplant, pork adobo, and fish cakes. One person said it perfectly: "The shrimp tempura was perfectly golden, light, and incredibly crispy with fresh, juicy shrimp inside. The fish cakes were flavorful, tender, and cooked just right. And the Filipino lumpia? Hands down the star of the plate--crispy, perfectly seasoned, and so addictive that one is never enough. Perfectly cooked noodles tossed in a flavorful, well-balanced sauce with fresh ingredients in every bite. The garlic rice was fragrant, fluffy, and packed with rich garlic flavor that paired perfectly with adobo." This summary was our eating experience here at Real Thai Mile High. The staff was attentive to our eating experience, and the ambiance was delightful since we were able to talked, laughed, and connect with each other without seeing and hearing other nearby diners' conversations. Eating with friends is great, but the best way to enjoy the dining experience and bringing it to the next level is doing family style: order a bunch of food and split the bill. Stopped by here on a rainy day, got seated right away, service took a while but food came out on time. No worries there as there were decent amount of customers with only one nice elder man taking care of everything... Immediately picked up on how the menu looked identical to chowsun/yolee j, asked our server about it and he did confirm they had moved etc. was glad as we were craving filipino food, but was dissapointed chowsun closed down and for what reasons im not sure. Had decent amount if tables, everything was clean and easy to get around for such a small place... Price was great and you get alot of food. we ordered drinks for two people, no appetizers but ordered ALOOTTT of entress lol. We have ordered below: Thai Tea ( 5/5) very good flavor. Garlic Rice (5/5) cooked perfectly, flavor wasnt empowering at all and addicting to eat. Dinuguan (3.5/5) its okay but could have better flavor, i dont know if the chefs are the same as chowsuns, but chowsuns dinuguan was alot better Sinigang (5/5) cooked perfectly and my personal favorite dish! Adobo (3.5/5) could have a lot better flavor, the soy empowered the rest of the flavor which threw off the whole dish but not too bad and wouldnt mind orderig again. chicken bbq(3/5) was decent but a little dry. crispy pork kare kare (2/5) very little sauce at all and a little bland , could have lots of potential also i dont know why they put the bagoong on top of the dish, it should be on the side... Some dishes could be a little better, but other than that, great flavors, great price, great service and will definetely come back for more! read more

I found my #1 favorite Thai restaurant!!! I know I say this way too often, but THIS IS THE ONE!! We ordered take out (because who in their right mind dines in with an infant and toddler lol), and we were immediately greeted by the sweetest lady "Hi Hunny!" - she doesn't even know me! Anyway, we ordered the beef boat noodles, papaya salad (Lao style - the only way to go if you like it more pungent crabby/shrimpy), and Kai Palo (braised pork leg and eggs). All were so good, so authentic, and so much flavor!! My husband said the Kai Palo reminded him of how his late grandma used to make it. I'm so excited to go back. I felt under the weather and was thinking of Taste of Thailand flu shot soup. They weren't open so I came here for my 4th time. I was going to get boat noodles, but Tom Yum was recommend when feeling sick. I chose heat level 3 of 5. That forced me to eat slower savoring the broth. Otherwise I would have choked up from the spice level. It had sliced and ground pork and fish balls. The ample portion waa well balanced and enough for 2 meals. I can NOT rave about this place enough. My sister and I have gone two nights straight. Authentic Thai food with a menu that has not been seen in Colorado in a while (We should know, we've been looking for some of these dishes at other Thai restaurants). I forgot to take pictures of the food because we were too excited. The first night, Hoy Tod Oyster (oyster pancake), Pla Duk Fu (crispy catfish salad), tom kha (thai coconut soup). For dessert, we got the ka nom nom tuay (coconut cassava). Today, we got the fish head soup, the whole fried tilapia, the crispy tamarind duck, pork satay and the mango rice for dessert. Admittedly, our eyes were bigger than our stomach, and our cravings were louder than our bodies telling us to stop eating. They are new, and the staff is sparce, but the service, excellent. Sawaddee! Do you remember Thai Mile High, which formerly sat in the westernmost space in the Great Wall (formerly Pacific Ocean) complex at Mississippi/Peoria? After many years, that storefront finally has a new occupant, with a very similar name. Now, don't be confused - Real Thai Mile High is not related to its predecessor at all, but it's quickly making a name for itself with a selection of Thai street foods not often seen locally. Let me sip my Nom Yen (milk made pink with the addition of Sala (snakefruit) syrup) while I have a peek at the appetizer section. Hmm, those Pa Thong Ko (skinny donut sticks) look awfully familiar - where have I seen them before? That's right! They are a variation on the Chinese cruller known as Yóu Tiáo (a classic rice porridge accompaniment). But those bouncy steamed meat buns (Salabao, or as the Filipino food aficionados among you may know them better, Siopao) certainly seem appealing too. If I want to really splurge, I can even try Hoy Tod - a very substantial egg/pancake hybrid containing either Nang Rom (oysters) or Malang Pu (mussels). But perhaps I've gotten a bit ahead of myself again - let's check out a few of those main course options before we find ourselves running out of stomach space. In the last paragraph, I touched a bit on Chinese influences in Thai cooking, which become abundantly clear with a taste of one of RTMH's most salient street-food offerings, Khao Na Ped. Basically translating to "duck on rice", this self-explanatory dish indeed strongly resembles its Cantonese equivalent, Aap Faan. Similarly, the appeal of Khao Mun Gai, with its moist chicken and ginger/garlic dipping sauce, will be instantly familiar to anyone who's tasted that Singaporean staple, Hǎi Nán Jī Fàn or Hainan-style chicken rice. But if you're looking for something a bit more... typical, the eatery can help you here too, with ideas ranging from the citrus-smooched fish fiesta known as Larb Pla, to a zesty helping of Som Tum (green papaya salad), to, yes, even a plate of Pad Thai. In any case, you have to end with dessert - and luckily, the choices don't disappoint here either, whether your palate is leaning more towards Khanom Thuai (coconut custard) or even Khao Tom Mad (taro/black bean/banana sticky rice parcels). read more
