Spice and everything nice. Thai food on another level! Comforting, authentic and just hits the spot. This is one of the few Thai restaurants we always have on regular rotation. We ordered the following dishes and the kids worked up an appetite by devouring the chicken satay and fried dumplings. The two dishes that stood out were the tom yum soup and raad na. The tom yum soup is classic and this something they definitely do right. Broth is balanced between sour from the lime, salty from the fish sauce and spicy from the Thai chilis an. You can eat/drink this up or pair with a bowl of rice. To be honest, I never had raad na and decided to try something new. Guess what, it was a very, pleasant surprise. Gravy like soup with wide, rice noodles, protein and vegetables. So comforting and just makes you happy. Bua seems to be one of the few Thai places in Colorado that's authentic and delicious. We tested the theory, and can confirm the hypothesis is correct. We ordered the pad see ew and green curry, and were blown away by the flavors. Even the way the vegetables were cut and seasoned made each bite feel perfectly balanced. Not pictured: the tom kha, which was creamy, bright, and beautifully balanced. If you're a spice veteran, I recommend level 5 (Thai spicy). The interior and AC ducts could use some love and cleaning, and while the service was fine, it wasn't particularly warm or enthusiastic. But the food? Absolutely worth it. read more

One of the few good authentic Thai restaurants! Thank goodness it's nearby. I've only ordered take-out and it's only been pad thai. Had this weird craving for just that and they did not disappoint!!! Love that they are already on point with how long it'll take. I did not wait long when I went to pick up. Don't worry about parking as there are ample, since it's in a "mall" lot. The place had an authentic feeling and decor, looks clean and spacious. I've ordered about 3-4 times and they were all delicious! Definitely hit the spot every time. Chicken pad thai, spice level 3. Ordered 3 lunch sets and spring rolls. The spring rolls were nice. The pad see ew and drunken noodles were almost the same, no wok hei at all. The curry base was ok but the tofu were dried and very hard. Seemed they were not freshly deep fried. I circled the tip (% and amount) I wanted to pay on the receipt but it has been charged after tax when a waitress used a device for the credit card payment. We have eaten here on multiple occasions. The food is consistnantly delicious. We love the red curry, the Maggie noodles, the yellow curry, the massaman curry and the vegetable eggrolls. The waitress was great, and hustled everywhere she went. This place is a hidden gem. read more

We went for lunch and ordered dumplings and edamame, both very good. For our entrees we ordered pad Thai, Rama Long Song, and yellow curry with shrimp. Came here for dinner on a Friday around 6p. We came just in time as soon as our food came, there was a wait to be seated. What we swallowed: *FRIED PORK: Delicious. Crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. My hubby and I had an amazing lunch here! I ordered the 3 Flavor Fish, and it was tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with spicy sauce, veggies, and pineapple. My hubby's Pad Thai was cooked to perfection--the peanut sauce and noodles were spot on. Lunch came with a tasty vegetable soup, and we also loved the Thai tea. The atmosphere was cozy with beautiful Thai artwork, which made it unique. The light fixtures could use a little dusting, but overall the space had good lighting and felt inviting. Service was great too--our waitress was attentive and quick with drink refills. Out of the many Thai restaurants I've tried, this one tasted more authentic than most. Food is ok and it took a while for the food to come. I did enjoy the decor and ambience though. The tom kha soup was not bad, but I've had much better at other places. It came out first and then took about another 15-20min before the drunken noodles came. Was expecting much more flavor in the drunken noodles, but was disappointed it mostly tasted smoky or burnt. I have been back a number of times either for to-go or dine in. However, today will be my last time ever to return. I noticed over the years the girls who run the counter for to-go orders just don't care and they certainly act like it. What's even worse is quality of food wildly sways. Sometimes you get the perfect amount of sauce and flavor. Other times you wonder if the chef was just sleeping. Today's visit happened to sway the other way. They decided to throw salt bombs on a nuclear level on both my tom kha soup and drunken noodles. On top of that service was horrible. Girl in the white shirt just didn't check on me the entire time and I sat there staring at the entire staff after 3 bites of my salt soaked drunken noodles. The waitress came by and tried to say the soup is more salty if I ask for medium spice. Never heard of that before! You also never checked on me and tried to refill my glass at the end of the meal when you never dropped by to see how everything was. Instead, you sheepishly apologized rather than offered to even remake the noodles. I know they are under new management but this level of service and quality is absurd. Quality and lack of service have gone off the deep end. At least the place looks inviting to wait for the next sucker. Oh well. read more

This is a pretty restaurant and is very clean. We came to celebrate a birthday, and they accommodated a large party with ease. The food is made fresh and they serve quickly. Was craving curry on a rainy day, and this place seemingly always comes up on the short list when Thai food in Aurora comes up. I can now say that's with good reason. Place was clean and welcoming, although the seats on the available booths had seed better days. (They were torn in a few spots.) No matter, we were there to eat! We got skinny shrimp roll app that was mighty tasty. I got panang curry with chicken, and it was damn tasty! (Heat scale goes to 6, I got a 4, and it was literally eye watering. Five would have been inedible for me, and I tend to like a decent bit of heat. GF's dish was veggies and tofu in a peanut sauce and that was also delicious! Menu is HUGE, so I don't know that I'll ever work through it, but I'll happily try as this place now has a spot in my rotation for sure. read more

Everything I've tried from here has been solid - pad thai, pad see ew, pad kee mao, khao soi, chicken satay, crab cheese wontons, tod mun pla, green curry, grilled beef salad, larb, thai tea, mango sticky rice. As you can tell from above, I frequent this place whenever I am craving Thai food. I have never had anything bad from here, but don't expect it to be the best Thai food you've ever had either. I've been all around Thailand and this food tasted very similar to the authentic food you get over seas. They forgot utensils but wasn't a big deal since I had some at home. I've dined here multiple times and have always left with food coma so I never get to post a review about how good this place is. Everything I've tried on their menu is great. Some of my favs are the crispy noodle salad, khao soi, pad thai, woon sen salad, massaman curry, etc. Their Thai tea is on a sweeter side so I like to enjoy it to-go for dessert. My absolute favorite restaurant. Nothing compares to Bua Thai. Bua Thai is always there when ya need them. Especially during the shutdown, which I would like to give them big props for. I would order takeout multiple times a week and certain days they'd be pretty slammed, however, the food was always worth the wait. Dining in is a treat. The interior is beautifully decorated and a nice place for a more intimate meal. The peaceful music is the cherry on top. Everything they do is well thought out and catered towards the customer. The dishware and food presentation is exquisite and authentic. Vegetable basil fried rice. It's to die for. Crab cheese wontons. To DIE for. Best I've ever had. It's hard for me to branch out and try other dishes because their fried rice is so good. Maybe next time.. maybe. The servings are two meals for me and their pricing is very reasonable as well. First off I love Asian food more then anything else. Just stopped in on our way through and loved it. Their menu is very large and somewhat overwhelming (But that's a good thing) My wife got the Honey Chicken and said it was delicious (10/10) very large potion. She is not huge on spice but likes just a little, she did level 2 spice which was Perfect. She also got a honeydew boba and really enjoyed it. I got the panang chicken curry. Which I loved. Again I love Asian food so I like spice and can do quite a bit, however I'm not one of those crazy people who go extreme with spice. All that to say I did a 3/6 on spice but wish I did a 4/6. Alright, so Bua Thai has completely redeemed themselves. My husband and I went here four years ago and loved the food but the service was crap. I vowed that next time I came here it would be to go and that's what happened today. That's the way to go!! Obviously I can't say what the service is like four years later but everything today was perfection! They have online ordering and bruh, their menu is huge! I like my standard pad thai (because I'm afraid if I order something else I dig like curry, I'll get FOMO) but I want to explore other items on their menu. The pad Thai was hearty, flavorful with just enough spice and I barely put a dent in half of my order. My husband said his drunken noodles were bomb.com (ok not his words but I'm writing this on Thursday so it's all TBT in my world). I do think their spice scale is a bit spicier than others (I am not good with spice and usually order very low) and I still thought it was too spicy for my taste, even ordering a 2! "Bua" the sacred Lotus flower of the Thai people deserves a well upgrade to 5 stardom. I've been here off and on for about 15 times now because it's conveniently located off of I-225. Yes the generic Pad Thai and the curries are great here but once your ready to venture out a bit look further back on the menu category called Isan (NE region) and many other stir fried dishes. One of my favorite dishes the Kao Soi which I will focus on today. It's listed under (Noodle Soup - Kao Soi) is a Chicken stewed in Northen Thai-style golden curry with egg noodles, topped with deep-fried crispy egg noodles, green onion, cilantro, served with shredded lettuce, shallots, lime and fried chilis. Khao Soi - according to Wikipedia is a (Chin-Haw) dish a group of people from Yunnan China who migrated to Northern Thailand due to wars and lost rebellions. They are majority Han Chinese but also consist of Hui People who are Chinese Muslims. The culinary mix of Persian, Chinese, Laotian, Burmese, and Thai brings euphoria to your palate. Now with that said, its time to put down the phone and order me some Bua, again. read more
