Although the independent contractor that was sent out did rekey six locks and provided one copy of the key per lock, Dan's Pro-Lock DBA Realty Rekey did not honor the language in my contract with Fidelity National Home Warranty, who they are a service provider through, which states that I am entitled to receive "Re-key of up to six functional keyholes (including deadbolts) and four copies of the new key." I have attempted to resolve this on at least three separate occassions with both Fidelity National Home Warranty, who validated my demands for their contractor to fulfill the language in my contract, and Dan's Pro-Lock DBA Realty Rekey, which refuses to do the work as it is contractually stated through Fidelity National Home Warranty. Instead, they tried selling me additional keys, beyond the 4 total that they claim the contract covers (that is not what the contract says), for $5 each. After weeks of inaction, warning other customers about this experience will hopefully allow them to find a different service provider that will honor their contracts. read more

Jaron was fantastic - prompt, friendly, transparent and efficient. Moving into a new home, we've discovered quite a few things and have had to use our warranty a handful of times after only being in our home for a little over a month. Realty Rekey and Jaron were the selected vendor and, of those we've had thus far, have been the best the warranty company has sent out. Jaron not only rekeyed the house but replaced hardware for two doors and fixed the front door dead bolt so that it could turn all the way into the slot and eliminate a safety issue. He completed the job in about an hour, which was way quicker than what I anticipated. Additionally, he was transparent and honest when it came to the work and the cost. Great Job! We found Realty Rekey through our home warranty program and are very happy with the results. My technician was awesome. He was professional, excellent communication skills( kept u advised of arrival time). My lock broke on a Saturday. I called the company and got an answering machine saying all technicians were busy. This to me meant someone would call me back. Two calls later ( couldn't leave if I couldn't get the lock fixed) I decided to check out the website to find they were closed on Saturday and Sunday so no technician was going to call me back. They need to change their outgoing message to reflect their hours. read more

Scheduled a rekey through my home warranty in Los Angeles. The Locksmith (Nick) quickly changed the locks for which I had a key. In less than a minute, he also removed the locks that were missing keys. I changed my mind and told him to put those locks back on because I wanted to contact my realtor to find the missing keys. He refused and left even though it would've only taken him another minute to put the lock back on. I now have doors without locks on them. Awful attitude and service. read more

My home warranty included rekeying the doors for the house I recently bought, and they dispatched Realty Rekey to do the work. I couldn't be happier with work they performed and the reasonable prices they charged for some extra work I asked them to do. I especially want to mention the tech that did the work, Arjun, was great! He really went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. He arrived right on time and went over all our requests with us and explained how he could do the job and what we could expect. Very poor service, was recommended by my home warranty, guy came out with two 10yr old kids. Dad had them tale my locks apart while he was in his car. My locks were messed up. Keys wont even turn. Very rude guy. Was in a rush and over charged me. I ended up using a lock smith who corrected all the issues and said that who ever rekeyed your locks damaged the cylinders. I would not recommend this company. I tried calling them so they can fix the issue but never responded read more

We needed the front door at our Oakland residence re-keyed so we requested service under our American Home Shield home warranty. AHS assigned Realty Rekey/Dan's Pro-Lock to do the work and we scheduled an appointment online.
