    5 cheese pizza.

Stopped in for lunch since they were open when others weren't. SOOOO glad we did. The food was amazing. Our super friendly waitress was amazing. We told them we were on a timeline to catch a tour and the accommodated perfectly. The food did fantastic. The lasagna balls were different but delicious. I would highly recommend this small place on the corner.

Delicious delicious delicious! This restaurant was nextdoor to my Airbnb and I must have visited 3 times during my trip. The pizza was delicious and so was all of the pastas that we tried. They were very informative about the different wine choices that were available, and my server recommended one of the most delicious wines that I had during my entire visit to Italy.

One of the best wood oven pizza places in Rome! Definitely try the Burrata pizza! The server was nice and friendly but she was new and forgot to give us water and utensils. The inside is a little small but there are plenty of suiting outside.

This place was amazing! They really helped us with getting to know what food and drinks we wanted. Didn't push us towards anything out of our comfort system. Delish courses and can't wait to come back. We sat outside and it was amazing. The weather is beautiful and I would recommend to always sit outside. Thank you!!

10/27/2013 As our last meal in Rome, we swung by this restaurant near our hotel to grab a bite to eat. We had just come back from seeing the pope at the Vatican City and just wanted to eat something quick before we headed off to Siena. We came across this restaurant (it was one of the few that were open in the area on a Sunday) and decided to sit outside for some pizza! Free wi-fi enticed us too. We ordered: Siciliana pizza - mozzarella cheese, basil, eggplant, 8 euros Napoli pizza - mozzarella cheese, basil, anchovies, 6.5 euros Both pizzas were tasty and huge. We enjoyed the flavor, plenty of yummy cheese on top, crust was thin. I couldn't believe I was able to finish the pizza, given how big it was. We left feeling satisfied and it helped to complete our Rome experience with big wide grins! :)

First time back in Rome after 6 years. All I could think about after my long journey was being reunited with a deliciously satisfying bufalina pizza. It just so happened that the first place I walked into served me just that...and I've tried them all! This pizza was exactly what I needed and brought back all the beautiful memories of this incredible country. The service was beyond great - my amazing server, Constantino, was so attentive, kind and went the extra mile to make sure everything was to my liking. Will definitely be back here before I leave...and when I'm back!

After a long day of tourist-ing in Rome, the beau and I needed to REfuel. We wandered into this restaurant because it wasn't too far from where we were staying. We just got a cured meat and cheese platter and some vino. The portion size was just right (Italian portions...not American!!) and everything was delicious. Then for dessert I cheated on being gluten free and we ordered the baba - cake soaked in rum. It was really good but it didn't have the cream filling, which was what I was expecting. So I felt a little cheated on that, but perhaps this is the more traditional way of eating it? Nice waiter. Free wifi. Quiet and cozy environment.

This was our first stop in Rome. We were very excited to have pizza. This place was a bit underwhelming. We ordered the margherita pizza and the fried appetizer. The appetizer included some fried rice balls, fried pizza dough, and fried pasta. It was way too heavy and didn't taste like much...other than fried bread. The pizza was also okay. The sauce was very watery. Nothing to call home about.

Our hotel manager had suggested another restaurant, but I was apprehensive to try, but did later, more on that restaurant review in it's own post. I rather did what I should have done throughout the trip to, which is to search google for local reviews. This tactic I found to be much better than to trust American reviews for restaurants to visit from Youtube or even here, just because the American touristy taste tends to favor bland or Olive Garden style pseudo Italian. The real Italian taste is much different and something one needs to develop. I was familiar with European Italian food, as I had said before in other reviews that Mexico has better Italian food outside of Italy. Additionally, the good restaurants here in Italy do not open before 7 PM. If it does or if someone that looks foreign to Italy is outside trying to lure you in, it's a tourist restaurant with iffy flavor. At this restaurant my husband had the Lobster pasta and I had the spinach/ricotta ravioli, and we both were beyond satisfied. We also had the artichoke as an appetizer, and trusted the waiter with his suggestion for a bottle of wine. He must have been some genius because the wine went well with our meal. The ambience was cozy and very family oriented, however, the rain outside made it romantic for us. Another key point for this restaurant and it traditional flare was that they brought out the olive oil and red vinegar for our salad and of course olive oil for our wonderful home-made bread. I'm so glad we chose this place for those of us Americans who understand culinary cuisine.

Super pizza place with a lot of other great stuff on the menu…read more I looked with envy at the other tables who were enjoying spectacular plates of spaghetti with mussels. * * * That said, my pizza was a grand slam home run. Many of their pizzas are quite elaborate With all sorts of exotic ingredients. I went super simple. Gorgonzola. Mozzarella. That's it. Just enough Mozzarella to cut the Gorgonzola and make for a good melt. * * * If you have never had a gorgonzola pizza, you have never lived. Just sayin'. * * * P.S. My lovely wife got a Norwegian salmon pizza. The Norwegian salmon was stacked up high on her pizza As if she was in the World Series of Poker and she was a big winner. I have never seen so much salmon on one plate. After our meal, I made a discreet phone call to the Norwegian embassy in Rome asking them if they still had any salmon left. The woman at the embassy assured me the Norwegian salmon supply was fine. That surprises me given all the salmon that was on my wife's pizza.

Being new to Rome, and having walked 20k steps on our first day, there are an abundance of options a for dining. We wanted something classically Rome nearby to our hotel. The Yelp review of this restaurant was sufficiently positive to entice us. Being American, we appreciate the earlier-than-customary dining options. We arrived at 6pm without a reservation. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is intimate and very well staffed. The wood fire oven is front-and-center and the fresh mozzarella is prominent in display. We ordered a bottle of wine ... all options are very fairly priced. This is nice. We started with a Greek salad to share. It was unlike any American Greek salad ... and a really delight. It is early June but the tomatoes and peppers were ripe and crisp and really fresh. My wife ordered the Marguerite pizza; I opted for the Gorgonzola pizza (the effusive review on Yelp was compelling). Both were solid. We appreciate the thin crust and the crisp edged. The center of both, however, was doughy and somewhat undercooked. Looking around ... the restaurant was over 50% full even at this early hour. Most were Americans. We saw a good number of diners with pasta dishes ... and none were left unfinished. Sadly, we don't have any comparisons to weigh (yet). So, I cannot affirm any "best of" citations, it this is certainly a solid trattoria/pizzeria. The staff are attentive and the food served hot and fresh.
