I endured one vrtual family therapy session with Nickia Lowery, LPC and I found her to be totally…read moreunprofessional from the beginning of the session. Let me explain why. She connected to our virtual session five minutes late and without apologies. When I questioned her about her itinerary for her therapy session "process", which she kept referring to repeatedly, she looked up in the air and said she hadn't come up with one yet. The entire session from that point on was a total disaster and clearly biased, possibly from her own past traumatic experiences. Physician heal thyself! I expected so much more from her, after researching her qualifications through Google reviews and various psychology websites which she is affiliated with. I walked away from our paid, virtual family therapy session with absolutely nothing at all, but my voiceless, defenseless and angry tears. Of course she gets paid by our medical insurance anyway, so why should she care about the outcome for EVERYONE in our session, when it's a win win for her anyway, smh! I would not recommend Nickia Lowery, LPC, as a reputable family therapist based on my own personal experience with her, within a paid virtual counseling environment.

I saw him individually and for my marriage at the time. Most people that I talk to about counseling saw" what do I saw"? There is no script you need to say to your counselor. In my very 1st session, I cried for 30 plus minutes because I was in so much pain about my marriage heading for divorce. I was all over the place with my thoughts. Each time I went, I got better with crying in most of my sessions. Dr. Kola was patient and kind in letting me take my time to get to the root of my thoughts and feelings. Dr.Kola, by far, is one of the best counselors I have ever had. This is his calling. In 2021, I still see him, and now it became a family thing. My 23-year-old is seeing him also. His insight, encouragement, and mentorship will be a part of our lives until he decides to retire. We might still try to bother him in his retirement.
