To my fellow runners, definitely come check this place out!! I came here after running my half marathon and it felt amazing. I did the compression boots, which was so helpful to my recovery. There's complimentary tea as well. I felt so relaxed.

This was my first time at this location. I went to the Marina location several years ago and really enjoyed it. This spa was also lovely, very clean and zen with everything you need for the float and after, and the staff were friendly and provided good tips. I enjoy the solitude and I love effortlessly floating. However, my room lights never turned off all the way - they're supposed to be motion sensitive, but stayed lit the entire time. I would've mentioned it on my way out but didn't want to be late for my next appointment.* One tip for anyone with tinnitus like me: as you probably know, earplugs and absolute silence (both of which are necessary for this experience) will make the ringing deafening. Before getting in the pod, put your phone in airplane mode, place it on a stool near the pod, and turn on some pink noise. *Update 10 days later: One more star for responsiveness and an excellent float experience. Management realized a contractor had disabled the sensor in my float room and credited me for the float. Today everything went perfectly.

Had a wonderful experience at the Reboot Float Spa! Went for my first float, and it was a seamless experience. The front desk attendant walked us through expectations and process. The step by step instructions are also on the wall in each room. Each pod is in a room with an individual shower. The spa is equipped with products for after the experience. Overall, the space was clean and calming. Great experience alone or with friends.

Reboot Float and Cryo Spa is absolutely amazing! These pictures do not do the experience justice, but, I hope it will help. Reboot is a sanctuary for self-care that will bring you closer to optimal health. Let go of stress and leave recharged, refreshed and reborn. Reboot is a family-owned wellness spa serving the Bay Area since April 2015. We opened our first location at 1912 Lombard in the Marina with 4 float tanks. In January 2017, we opened our second location in the Rockridge district of Oakland and added cryotherapy and infrared sauna. In 2018, we opened our third location on Valencia Street in the Mission and added T-Shock and compression therapy. This is a MUST TRY experience!

Reboot Float & Cryo Spa is back open! I was injured in a car accident in late February, suffering a concussion, whiplash, and a hand injury. I have been consistently coming here for cryotherapy, infrared sauna sessions, compression boots, cold plunging, and floatation therapy. Disclaimer: this is not medical advice, but flotation has definitely helped in my concussion recovery. And both the cryotherapy and local cryo treatments have significantly helped with my whiplash and hand injury. As great as the physical benefits have been, what has been unexpected are the very tangible mental benefits I've experienced from the many services offered here. After a session here, whether it's a float, cryotherapy, a cold plunge, or a session in the infrared sauna- my sleep has felt deeper; I'm more well rested the next morning; my anxiety levels are lower; and my overall mood levels (and dare I say optimism) are higher than they were when I walked in. For these reasons, I would recommend giving Reboot Float & Cryo Spa a try even if you aren't experiencing physical discomfort or chronic pain. And if you are, see if this is something you might be interested in trying. If you come to the conclusion that it is, I know for a fact that you will not find a better place than Reboot. What makes Reboot so great and special can be found in the people who run this place. The general manager, Angelique, is exceptional at what she does. She makes sure everything runs smoothly and that the well-being of every single person who walks through the door is taken care of. The staff at Reboot, each and every one of them, is phenomenal. The work they do everyday makes a meaningful difference in people's lives. By they, I mean: Wendy, Nina, Iyalah, Baylea, Karla, Brianna (shout out to the Cryo T-Shock), Michaela, Christy, Alexis, Omarita, Mika, Pangaea, Romi and Angelique. Each of them deserves a mention for the incredible work they are doing/have done at the Mission location. It takes a lot of work to make a place like Reboot run as well as it does. Not only are there meticulous cleaning protocols in place to ensure that everything is clean and sanitized, but specialized knowledge is needed to make sure the nitrogen levels, ph balance, and many other scientific standards are met- all of it about which I know nothing. But it's all critically important to the experience of each and every client. And each member of the staff takes care of this. To everyone at Reboot, I am grateful!

Self care = self respect. I am looking forward to all the self respect that will take place at Reboot! My friend and I went in for a whole body cryo session, of which I thoroughly enjoyed every second of the three-minutes. The staff was helpful and communicative and the space was clean with just the right amount of sterile. As a person generally suffering from inflammation, this was especially beneficial, but I would encourage everyone to get this treatment at least once, it was quite the treat! They provide gloves, ski mask and slippers. You provide the undergarments and the music selection.

I found this on ClassPass. It is a brand new offering marked "New!" I had no idea what this was for. I signed up for "Compression Boots." It took 30 minutes. They put some black boot things on your legs and it puts pressure on your legs. You can press the buttons on the control yourself. They have some other services like "Flow" and "Cryotherapy." I'll try the other services. Danny helped me out today and he was nice. They opened this location in March. They have one in the Marina and one in East Bay. Danny said that the Warriors teammates use Reboot in East Bay. This is interesting on ClassPass. Danny said it's for marathon runners or other athletes. They have a sauna. It's fancy and Fancypants X. has used it as well!

The prices are affordable, and the quality of the massage is excellent. From the beginning, you can tell she genuinely cares about her clients. Before the massage, she actually calls to ask if you have any specific pain areas or any recent or previous injuries, which makes the whole experience feel very personalized and thoughtful. It's a professional, licensed massage setup and the experience felt safe, respectful, and very well run from start to finish. The space itself is serene and cozy--an authentic San Francisco spa vibe set in her home and tailored to you, which adds an extra level of comfort. There's calming music, and it smells like a spa, making it easy to relax immediately. During the massage, she checks in to make sure you're comfortable and adjusts everything--the table, positioning, and pressure--based on what you need. She also asks how intense you want the massage and really listens, which I appreciated. I got a CBD massage and it felt amazing. I left feeling completely relaxed. Afterward, she gave me water and even shared suggestions on how to take care of myself after the massage, which was a really nice touch. Good to know: * Best to go solo so you can fully relax (plan childcare ahead of time if needed) * Clean, cozy massage space with a bathroom available for clients * Great for pain relief, stress relief, and overall relaxation * She also offers prenatal massage and postpartum massage (great option for moms) * She sends helpful text updates about massage specials and availability, which makes it easy to stay in the loop * Gift certificates are available, which makes this a great option for a thoughtful gift Overall, this is truly a local gem for massage in San Francisco. He asked my shoe size, brought me slippers, and put my shoes in a locker. Kari came out when I stepped from the bathroom, introduced herself, and warmly reached out to greet me. Kari took me upstairs--I had no idea how large and expansive the space inside actually was. She sat me in her salon and looked at my scalp like it was telling her a story, and it was. She asked about my hair, how I care for it, and how often I wash. I have natural hair, I twist, I wash weekly, and I am always adding product. Kari showed me what was sitting underneath. She laid out every single thing she was about to use on me--about four items, including peppermint and a clay mask--and explained why. She walked me to the room. Dim light, comfortable, with linen on the bed that felt too soft for a spa. She turned on a bed warmer and gave me time to get settled. I hung my things on hooks, neatly, the way you do when someone has made a space for you. The room felt like a peaceful, bohemian sanctuary with a touch of clinical precision. Warm, but precise. Soft, but intentional. When Kari returned, she placed a light touch over my whole body across the sheets. Not pressing, just letting me know she was there. When she reached the top of my head, she said, "Take a deep breath, hold it, let it out slow." And that is where it began. Not with a hand. With a breath. She started with my face. I could feel the muscles shift, tension leaving, everything draining down toward my shoulders. Kari anchored my neck with a towel, like a hammock, and I was held still while she pulled the weight out of me. She laid a steam mask over my eyes, and as I lay there, Kari worked on my hair. Then came the waterfall: warm water from my scalp, across my forehead, over my face, my neck. I want to be honest about what came next, because I didn't expect it, and I don't know how to explain it, but I need you to hear it. Intrusive thoughts find me, even in serenity, even in stillness. They come. But they didn't. Lying there, water falling across my face, every thought that came was good. I was back to the first time I held my babies, back to moments of pure love and unfiltered joy--the kind of core memories that carry only warmth. Something in this room, this water, this touch, washed everything heavy away and replaced it with pure light. I felt like I quantum-leaped to every happiness I've ever lived. Not one negative thought entered my mind. When it ended, I told Kari the truth: this was the best treatment I have ever had. Not because of what it did to my scalp, my face, or my skin, but because it treated my body well, and it reached my mind, somewhere below where I think, and it gave me back every good thing I have ever held. I booked my next appointment before I left for October 18. I came for a 90-minute head spa. I walked out with peace I didn't know my body was holding underneath everything. Kari, if you read this, thank you for the breath. It's where it all started, and it's where I'll come back to.

Now for the actual experience, you do shower first and you can bring a bathing suit if you'd like as well but each room for your session is private so it is optional. You shower before you go in and make sure you use the earplugs since you are going to be floating so to avoid it getting in your ears. There's an option to adjust the lighting and sound and to even turn it all off if you prefer a more sensory deprivation experience. You can change your selection throughout which was really nice so you can try all the different modes. One thing to keep in mind is that it is like a bunch of salt (think your at-home epsom salt TIMES A THOUSAND) so it can be a bit of a different texture at first but you can always slightly open the door and they have a spray bottle for just water or if you just need some air at any point during your session. For me, I think a good session would be about 60 min. The full 90 min. was definitely nice but I think about an hour in my mind was beginning to race a little so I think an hour is perfect!
