We took our three girls (ages 3 to 8) on a dolphin tour with Condor Sailing Adventures, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip and one of the best family experiences we've had. I'll admit, as parents, we were a little nervous when we saw the "don't get seasick" disclaimer. I mean... seasickness isn't exactly something you choose. But Captain Kirk and *Dare II* put those worries to rest immediately. This boat is basically the Ferrari of the ocean. It's unbelievably smooth and stable. Even our youngest stayed happy the entire time, laughing, pointing out dolphins, and having zero tummy troubles. I've never experienced anything quite like the way *Dare II* glides across the water. Captain Kirk was fantastic--knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely wonderful with kids. He made the whole experience feel personal, relaxed, and fun while making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. We saw so many dolphins up close, and the small group size made it feel special instead of crowded and touristy. And then came the surprise that absolutely made our girls' day. At the end of the tour, Captain Kirk let each of them take a turn at the helm and "drive" this Ferrari of a boat (with his close supervision, of course). Their faces lit up like it was Christmas morning. Watching them steer *Dare II* was the perfect ending to an already magical day. I very, very highly recommend!!! **Tips** ~ Reserve your spot online on their website to be sure the cruise/tour you are wanting to take doesn't fill up. ~ Bring some cash or your credit/debit card as there is an onboard snack bar. ~ There is a bathroom onboard, but it's similar to a porta-toilet, so you might want to make sure you use the restroom before boarding. ~ There is a Coast Guard-certified lady who shows everyone how to put on, fasten, tighten, and take off the life vests, as well as telling everyone where they are located onboard, if needed. Not every dolphin tour has life vests (we have taken a couple in the past that didn't), so this is important and just another positive about this company!

Captain Randy was a fantastic skipper who made the cruise very enjoyable and comfortable for all. Unlike some other sailing companies, we ACTUALLY sailed in the Gulf (engine off) and enjoyed the breeze and the views. As a sailor on Lake Michigan, Captain Randy let me take the helm of the 35-foot Beneteau for much of the sail. (THANKS, Captain!) He has tons of local knowledge and provided great information to our group. The boat was super clean - the topsides dazzling white and the woodwork varnish below deck looked wet it was so fresh looking. My only regret is that we did not book a longer cruise. Tom H. It was a little crowded if you were fishing on the sides of the boat. The captain did his best to put us on fish, and moved a number of times. All in all, it was fun and we each caught some fish. The mates were really good - they took your fish off, cut up bait, helped with tangled rods, cleaned your fish. If you can afford to charter a captain and boat, that would definitely be more fun. And I cannot imagine taking the 3pm fishing trip if it's July or August - it would be hotter than hell. But for the cost, this was fun. Definitely a well-managed operation.

I had a 6 hour private charter scheduled for me and my son for the 28th of this month. We come down for the PG World Series each year and close out our ball games with a fishing trip so as a mom, I plan ahead and booked this trip about a month or so ago. Because of all the rain forecasted, we decided to cancel this charter and take a trip to Tamarindo in July. I called to cancel the charter today, 9 days in advance and the guy laughed numerous times and said "that's 10 days away, but ok." I let him know I was well aware of the timeline and that we didn't want to take a chance on the rain. The possibility of storms was part of the reason but I also decided to just take a trip to Tamarindo and fish instead. The trip to Costa rica is 5 days and only $1700 more and we get a 10 hour fishing day so I thought it would be a cool experience for my son since he's already gone out with Hot Spots several times, this would be a little different. This review is based solely on the poor & rude service of the kid I spoke to today. I have had great experiences in the past but they were with Cash & Jason.

Also nice: a red-lipped lipstick fish. But the red snappers were plentiful as well, doing the food chain thing courtesy of the smaller catch. The season was open and apparently someone told the snapper. Average weight: eight or more pounds. Ambiance: a great boat on the open waters. A clever captain. All good. Service: Captain Daniel knew his spots and was an encyclopedia on marine life. We even saw about a dozen dolphin. Fi(ni)shing lines: this was our second time with Hot Spots and there will be more. We debated whether to go for the 2-hour option or the 3-hour option. Lucky for us, we went for the 3-hour option. We asked for a nice ride with a stop to enjoy a swim. The experts took over from there for an awesome ride. They were able to get us pretty close to a beach and we enjoyed a nice swim. Then, we cruised back to dock. Sailing was awesome. First, Riley and Rachel definitely know their stuff! They made it look so easy to sail a boat that was over 30 feet long. With six in our party, and the two of them, there was plenty of room. They really did everything they could possibly do for us to have the best experience. For us, we just relaxed and enjoyed the ride. I guess I'd never really thought about it before, but the ride was so peaceful without the roar of an engine. The cold water, beer, and wine really added a nice touch. I can't wait until we're back with our whole family for another go round!
