Prior to tiling my backyard patio, I had been informed I needed to change the drainage system. One plumbing company had come out and quoted me $2500 to do the job. Sunday is always a bit dicey to call for a plumber. I had a backed up toilet and I wanted it fixed ASAP. I left a message on the answering machine and as promised got a return call within 20 minutes. Was told by the answering plumber that I would have someone out to my house within two hours. Within an hour a plumber was at my door and within 25 minutes cleared the problem. It was expensive but when it's a Sunday and you want the job done I suppose it was inexpensive. Had I gotten a quote, which I did not, I still would have done the job. Had damaged wood flooring and no answer as to why. Michael came out and checked all the usual suspects- a/c, sprinklers, fridge- nothing. Recommended having a leak detection service come out to rule out a slab leak. Michael returned with the leak detection service- nothing detected. Literally one of the best experiences I've ever had with a plumber. Michael came out and assessed that I had a leak from a pipe running through my foundation. He was so professional and friendly, and brought out another specialist from his company to check all my pipes with a high-tech device that can detect leaks through cement and hardwood floors. After he and his crew found the problem, Michael took the time to see if there was another way to fix the problem without having to jackhammer into my foundation. Well, he found an alternative, which not only fixed the problem but saved me money. Don't waste your time with this plumber. I had Victor came to my house to fix pipe leak under slab. He was not only playing game with me to take the money without fixing but also not knowledgeable. First he made me to wait 7 days to come. After he finally came, he brought leak detector and together gave me couple of time very inaccurate evaluation of location of pipes. For example he said the location of your hot water pipe is right below the cold water pipe under slap. Thanks god I had picture of the pipe from last time that was showing very clearly his information was totally inaccurate. He refused to come and see the area to give me his estimate. He gave estimate on phone low end to high end with $1000 range different. When he finally gave his final estimate at house, he gave very high end price and refused to lower it. Due to lack of water and urgency I had no time to wait for another plumber, so I accepted even that high estimate. He put a bill in front of me for showing up to give his estimate and cost of his leak detector and said he can't fix the leak but you have to pay me. I think he didn't even know how to fix it or perhaps he was playing game to just rub me. Usually the pipe detector provides the location map of pipes and leak marked. After he took the full payment for it, he refused to provide part of information the leak detector gave him. This is extremely indent company. Today I called another plumber and they did fantastic job and fix the leak in a day perfectly and smoothly. I regret so much wasted my money and time on Reckon and reckon pluming company. read more

We just moved into our new home. After we had our gas appliances connected by a plumbing service we smelled gas in the house. We called SoCal Gas to come and try to find the source. They determined the leak was behind the wall where the gas clothes dryer was. It seems the plumber cracked the pipe during connection. SoCal Gas turned off and locked our gas line for safety. Desperate, we started calling OTHER plumbing services (not having confidence in our original choice). Reckon & Reckon called us back within an hour and said they had people in our neighborhood and could give us an estimate right away. We agreed, they came by in about 15 minutes and not only gave us the estimate, they said they could fix it on the spot. They were extremely nice, efficient and thorough. I called yesterday to get a simple bid on a main line replacement of a house my clients were buying. They said they would have the plumber who did some work on the house previously to call me back at 800 am. No call this morning, so I call again and complain that no one called me. The woman who answered gave me some lame explanation that a plumber got hurt, blah blah blah, but promised to get back to me by 12:30. Didn't happen of course. Posted bad review, and next day got a call from the owner, who apologized for the lack of service, which really revealed to me the greatness that is YELP. It gives consumers a chance to warn others of firms with which one is not familiar, and gives those same business owners the opportunity to cure problems and weed out problem employees who harm their business and reputation. Owner was obviously concerned about his customers and reputation. Didn't have the occasion to use them as my clients purchase fell apart, but they certainly displayed the type of dedication to their business that an owner should. read more
