I had an issue with my bill. I called and it took approximately 2 minutes to get through the recordings, and the. The phone rang and I was helped by Wendy. She was very helpful and was able to resolve my issue in less than 2 minutes. Not sure why there are so many reviews about not getting through to anyone on the phone. I had to update my credit card for my autopay in December, and it was the same thing. I got through within a couple minutes and had my issue resolved within a few more minutes. read more

Absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of them via phone. It's a headache setting up the new online pay system. They don't make this easy. That's just the technology side of things. When I first moved to Vacaville from Fairfield, the garbage service was comparable. Nothing to complain about. After 2 years something has changed drastically. Often times the recycling bin or the green bin will be forgotten in the neighborhood. The workers leave trash rittled in the streets. My trash collection is on Fridays. I put out all 3 can on Thursday, November 14th at 5PM. Last Friday, November 15th, my green waste container was not emptied. I called around 4pm and was on hold for approximately 25 minutes. Finally someone answered. I explained about my green waste not being emptied and was told that the driver said it wasn't out there. I said that was BS. She asked if I wanted it to be emptied on Monday, November 18th. I said yes and she said to put it out by 6AM. I put it out at 5:30 AM. I called at 3:30 and was on hold for over 30 minutes. I hung up and did it on their website. I receive a call today and was told that the driver came by around 5PM. My green waste garbage can appears to have accidentally fallen in the Recology truck, which is totally fine. However there was no note left on another can, no knock on the door, no phone call from their dispatch or receptionist, no replacement can brought to my home. Only left for me to find after I had completed multiple hours of yardwork. After calling Vacaville Recology and reporting the occurrence, I asked that my gray bin be dumped before my scheduled trash day due to the fact, I had to prematurely fill it full of yard waste instead of normal household garbage because my assigned green waste bin had been taken by a Recology truck this morning. I was told it would cost me over $25 to have my normal trash can dumped prior to our next scheduled pick up day. After reviewing the code of conduct on the Recology website, it does not appear at the Vacaville Recology office dealt with this issue in a manner that would do right by the customer especially when it was their fault to begin with. This all could have been avoided with a simple " yes, we will dump your bin for you and bring a replacement yard waste bin" As someone who follows a similar code of conduct for my profession, I am very disappointed with the actions of the Vacaville Recology department and their lack of understanding, professionalism and eagerness to do what is right by the customer, especially when it is a wrongdoing on their end for a service I pay monthly for.... read more

The guys were friendly and helpful. The facility was clean. There is a sink with soap, water and towels so you can wash up if you need to. The facility is located near WinCo, across from Sonic, at the end of the driveway to the right. The gentleman helped us unload our bags of cans into their rubber trash cans. They placed them on their scale, I signed for them and we had $26.20 in cash. We recycle as much as possible, so why not get a little cash back for the effort? read more

This is an easy in and out off of Davis Street. The driveway is LONG and located right next to RW Garage Doors and catty-corner from Sonic. I would suggest pre-sorting your recyclables as it will be faster in the long run. if you choose to sort on site I would recommend that you bring dishwashing gloves so your hands don't get filthy. They are open Saturday 9am-3pm. And during the week for other recycles. They also recycle/take used motor oil. Recycling Center on Davis st. Wackyville Ca. Strange place there was only one guy working over by the Sorting table and no one else in sight. When I asked him a question he did not respond and you could tell he was in his own world while singing to himself. Okay cool no problem I'll just go with the flow. After I get several trash cans and start to bring my recycled goods from my car to the trash cans by the door another guy pops up but he just stands there after I told him that I'm not finished yet. As I'm putting my goods into the trash can another lady comes in with her bag of goods and all of a sudden three supervisors come out of the office and several other workers pop up. One worker smiled a lot but didn't offer any help. So after I fill up the trash cans with my recycled Goods the one worker who was just standing there watching me decided he was now going to check the plastic bottles and such by dumping them into another trash can mean while other people are coming in with their goods and are about to take my place in line because I was next. I don't know why this guy didn't check my recycled goods while I was putting them into the trash can. Then a grumpy supervisor comes out and ask the guy if he checked everything and he mumbled no so the supervisor takes the other several trash cans and commences to check them while the line is getting longer and people are trying to get in front of me. Okay no problem so long as nobody skips me I'm okay but the grumpy supervisor decides he has to give me a short lecture by saying sir we have to check your cans which he said several times for no good reason. I didn't respond but I wanted to say ,where the hell were you all this time? I managed to keep my recycled materials together this time because you have to watch these people because they will separate your stuff and you won't get paid for all of it. This place is absolutely horrific. We are a business that hires dumpster rental for demolition at private residences undergoing construction work. Every time we hire a dumpster from Recology, they are late. Every time we call them to either request a dumpster rental OR to follow up and ask why they are late (again), we are on hold for 15-30 minutes before getting a live person, who then will invariably tell us that they can't help us. (By the way, leaving your phone number for someone to call you back when they are available doesn't work... I've used that option three times and have yet to ever receive a phone call from Recology). Today we had a big job to do and hired a dumpster a few days ago. We HAVE to go through Recology because they have a monopoly and other local equipment rentals are not allowed to operate in Vacaville. So we had to hire Recology... and they assured us that the dumpster would be delivered by 6 a.m. ... our crew showed up at 7 a.m. and no dumpster. They waited around till 10 a.m. but still no dumpster. We called in and after being on hold for nearly 30 minutes, we were told that they were sorry it was not delivered as promised but that it would be there in a little bit. Right now it's almost 2:30 p.m. and still no dumpster. I had to pay my crew for an entire day of sitting at the work site unable to do their job because Recology can't or won't honor their obligations in a timely fashion... Oh, and I get to pay them $400 for the privilege since I don't have any other options for rentals. This is just the absolutely WORST equipment rental experience I've ever had. If anyone knows any other options in this area, use it. read more
