The Highs: I typically come here for their self service printing kiosk and occasionally to ship things for work. I love the convenience of emailing my PDFs, getting an email back with the code, and then running in to print out what I need. The Lows: I find the printing cost for small sets of documents to be cheaper than printing at the UPS store but when it comes to shipping personal items, it can be a little pricey. Parking can be a little annoying here as well. The In-Between: Overall people are friendly and helpful here. For a fee, they will package your stuff for you and sometimes the price can be similar to if you buy the box, tape, filling, etc. directly from them. So I'd recommend that. read more

Tried to send a simple envelope with a few documents. Staff insisted that they be allowed to scan my drivers license and collect all my personal information. To mail an envelope? They said you don't allow us to scan your license you don't get to ship with us. I went to UPS across the way and sent my documents without having to give up my ID information. Checked with the USPS post office as well, and they said they don't need your drivers license to send documents. I know it's almost a lost cause at this point, but data collection, harvesting and scraping has become ridiculous. Protect your personal information. Fight it when you can, keep your personal data away from big corporations when possible. Don't ship FedEx when UPS and USPS can do the same without prying your person details of your life out of you. read more

I was getting married in 5 days and I've been searching everywhere on how to format and print out my wedding newspaper. I walked in and Pablo was so helpful, asked someone to help me that was in the back desk. She didn't seem super interested in helping me and Chandra stepped in and was so beyond patient. She was so freaking amazing. So sweet and I was so beyond grateful! She made the time and effort to help me get it exactly the way I wanted it and I was willing to pay the price for it. As someone who has worked as a FedEx warehouse employee, it is absolute insanity to me that I could walk into a shipping location like this with an already paid for label needing only a couple of strips of tape to close my box and they will refuse to give it to you. I was told I need to purchase a roll of tape (which is of course far more expensive than literally anywhere else you could buy it). This entirely goes against all of the rhetoric at the company about putting customers first and providing a quality experience. This should be the most basic free service provided yet they use it as a cash grab opportunity and means to nickel and dime customers when it would be quite inconvenient to go elsewhere at that point. I've literally never had this low quality commitment of service anywhere else and would not recommend coming here if feeling valued as a customer is important to you at all. read more

I have never had such poor customer service! Treva was downright rude and attempted to be condescending, but even lacks enough insight to do that well. I attempted to empathize with her thinking maybe she was just having a bad day. She denied that and said no she was having a great day. I am reviewing my overall impression of FedEx. It includes the whole network not just this store. Leave a package and wait forever to have it delivered. UPS does a better job of doing what they say. If ups say 5 days ups generally delivers in that time plus/minus a day. Not true for FedEx ground -It can take days beyond projection. (USPS is more reliable and that is saying a lot. ). I stay away from using FedEx now. They use to be much more reliable. read more

I placed an online order for graduation announcements and they turned out fine. The next day I realized I needed a few more so I went into the store to request they print 15 more. They looked up my online order and confirmed the file I wanted them to print, telling me they would be ready the next day. My daughter picked them up and was charged 2x what I paid for the original order, even though I received fewer prints in the 2nd order! Employee explained it's because they give a discount for placing the order online. Why didn't they tell me that when I reordered?? They knew my original order was placed online and I feel they should have told me ordering in the store would cost significantly more. I live in a senior mobile home park in Vacaville. FedEx comes through our park almost daily. There is a 15 mph speed limit here in the park. We have many seniors that walk in the park and that walk their dogs in the park. Seniors don't move fast as you should know. The drivers fly through this park like it's a freeway. I have called FedEx many times and given them plate numbers. They assure me they will talk to the drivers and tell them to slow down. Well it doesn't work or they never talked to them because they still fly through this park. I guess maybe when the driver hits and kills someone or runs over and kills someone's dog maybe then they will get the message. We have UPS and USPS in the park and they don't speed through here so FedEx needs and should slow down also. PLEASE if you need to send a package send it with UPS or USPS. Let's send a message to FedEx that our seniors and their pets matter more then their package deliveries. read more

On occasion I've needed to use the local copy/print shop for client proofs or smaller projects. (Nowadays, I mostly use offset printers for the majority of jobs.) If you're looking for quality, most local copy/print shops that use color laser copiers/printers will generally give you the same basic print. However, your paper options, customer service, ease of use & costs will vary. I've been by this location several times for quick prints, self-serve only. However, this last time, I needed a few client proofs for a current job I'm working on. Since, FedEx Office is just a stone's throw away from the Staples just across the street, out of curiosity, I thought I'd do a litmus test between the two retail giants. The Test: Via "online," I sent the same exact file here, FedEx Office, as well as to the neighboring Staples. The Job: PDF file; single-sided; 24# laser paper; legal (8 1/2" x 14"); 3 prints Note: I requested 32# laser paper instead of 24# for my proofs @ FedEx Office; that's the only difference between the two. 'Now, it's not a big job by any means that required special bookletiizing, padding, collating, or any finishing... 'All that was required was to send the file from the queue, to the printer and "Fini!" Simple! Well, for some folks @ the place across the way, it was not so simple... (Shrugs; scratches head) I'm not going to go into detail but you can read the full review below. 'AND, it was done correctly, no hassle, no excuses, no drama. ('Like I said simple.) As I looked at the printout, I noticed that the image was full bleed, which basically means the printed image runs "edge to edge," no white borders. Now generally, one cannot get full bleed prints straight out of a laser color copier/printer due to the nature of the technology... A standard limitation with most of today's copiers. So, I had to ask, "What copier was this printed on?" The young lady @ the counter replied, "You requested 32# laser paper for your project but the only stock we had was ledger, so we printed on the 11" x 17" then trimmed it back to legal..." - 'And that ladies & gentlemen is how help a project move forward & actively find a solution. 'Needless to say, I was very, very happy with the prints especially after just coming from that hot mess @ Staples just across the street. - "Kudos Kinkos!" I mean FedEx Kinkos... Oh wait, FedEx Office w/Kinkos inside. (I think that's the name they're going to stick with for a while... 'Hopefully.) I personally liked the name, "FedEx Kinkos." The Kinkos branding is, or rather was HUGE! Kinko's founder, Paul Orfalea made the name synonymous with 24 hour copy shops offering customers complimentary, fresh coffee & local phone calls... It was unheard of! Nowadays, you MIGHT find a FedEx Office that's open 24 hours which are usually their hub locations and even then, it may not offer it 7 days/week. (Usually, Fri-Sat, due to the volume & foot traffic.) 'Some people use their pseudo tech knowledge to try & "bully" customers who may not have a lot of experience in what they are trying to accomplish... Fortunately for me, I have a bit of background in the area. Workers shouldn't get upset/short with a customer for not knowing what you as a employee SHOULD. After all, it's YOUR job, the customer is here to get your professional help & advice, not your adolescent, bad attitude. (Apologies, I digress.)
