I called upon this retailer to help me reassemble my "Springfree" brand trampoline. I set up an appointment for them to come out and they were on time. I had saved the original boxes the trampoline came in and used them for when I moved back to Indiana from Arizona. The original company where I bought it was Tree Frogs Playground Equipment and they had taken it apart for me and put it back into those original boxes. Recreation Unlimited had no trouble reassembling the trampoline and finished in record time. They were no issues after assembly was completed. I am 100% satisfied and would recommend them and use them myself again. read more

Unfortunately, Recreation Unlimited has taken the time to not just lie on their own product page, but also fail to provide reasonable customer service pertaining to a hot tub filter costing as little as $60. I do not recommend doing business at Recreation Unlimited with Lilliana, the Sales manager who clearly knew they were in the wrong by trying to offer me a settlement, the Service manager who seems to be woefully misinformed about Cal Spas warranties & parts, as well as Kyle in the Customer Service department who failed to convince this "leadership" that I wouldn't be including him by name in this review if I didn't end up receiving a full refund. Perfectly calm and friendly people, who completely misunderstand what customer service means. Simply put for context: I ordered the FIL75-5D145H2OE-4 filter. What I received was a tampered-with delivery full of used Nespresso pod garbage. I contact them, they ship out the filter again, no issue. The filter I receive is NOT a direct replacement for my OEM filter, despite their own product page listing it as such. Even the URL of the product page indicates the part number incorrectly. Cal Spas confirms, by serial number, that it does not apply to my tub, nor does that part even exist in their system. It's not even the same outer diameter. I note this to Rec Unlimited and the Service manager suggests that I, "just try it out." Of course I choose not to because I'm not going to void my warranty or potentially destroy my tub's plumbing from a fake product, but it was clear at this point that there is either an outright ignorance when it comes to the products this retailer sells or they just simply won't care about your experience with them. What they did offer: A partial refund where I would have to cover the shipping costs. So not only did they realize they had fault and offered this concession, but further insulted me by requesting the shipping fees that they wouldn't have incurred had they just simply not made this mistake in the first place. Now, you've not only admitted you were wrong, but you have a chargeback coming your way too. I'm very much looking forward to the response that I will get from them here in this review. Because if it's anything other than, "We're sorry. We'll refund you 100% immediately." then every single person who reads this review will know exactly how you operate. read more

Ordered what I thought was an OEM sub panel for a Hot Springs Grandee. Not what I received. I was given a 100 amp panel with two breakers. I could have bought and built that myself for a couple of hundred dollars. Paid $650 for their panel. Website says spa parts are not returnable, which the panel is listed as. I was contacted by the company and they offered a return....unfortunately, after it was already installed. I had the electrician out, and since their policy was that such parts are not returnable, I decided not to take a risk with buying more equipment and hoping they would take it back. My dad purchased a Goalrilla from Recreation Unlimited for us a Christmas gift. I paid $600+ to have Recreation Unlimited install it at our house. Some time in January, the backboard randomly shattered. I reached out to RU and they told me I needed to check with Goalrilla and not them. So I did. Goalrilla said it was covered under warranty and sent a replacement backboard. (It was back ordered so we had to wait a few months.) It arrived via freight and we made a plan to install but quickly realized we couldn't handle this job safely with the equipment we have. I reached out to recreation unlimited to get a price on installing, they said they couldn't take the old one off but could, for a price, install the new backboard after we found someone else to take the old one off. They referred me to service connection which quoted me $530 to provide that service. I find this situation ludicrous. Recreation Unlimited isn't standing by their product they sell nor their installation of that product. The shattering was due to a defective product or possible bad installation - hard to say. In any case, it's nothing we did. But between the $600+ initial installation and looking at another $800+ to get the new backboard on - I'm just appalled at the lack of customer service and lack of willingness to stand by their products and services. Avoid Recreation Unlimited. So far the only thing they've done is LIMIT our recreation and punish our wallets. read more

Needed a repair for our less than a year old tub. We were told that our hot tub repair was covered by warranty 100%, never told that it was even a possibility that it would not be covered. Then after multiple attempts (they cancelled at the time of scheduled appointment multiple times) and days off work, they finally come to repair it, don't even let us know that they are there, don't move tub or replace chemicals (again as we were told they would), repair it and then show us some wires and say uh, now we don't know if the damage will be covered. Then we were charged $182.09 and our credit card charged without our consent Plus the $160 we already paid do or them to come out at all. The showroom is built to display the strongest and most impressive play structures on the planet. I'm talking $8,000-$10,000 each with slides, bridges, swings, air pogo sticks, basketball courts, and trampolines. So what's cool? They open all 15 (if I counted correctly) play structures, mini cabins, basketball courts, and trampolines to the public for open play every single day. It's extremely affordable. There are birthday party rooms, too. It's a heck of a lot cheaper than hosting at one of those pizza play lands where you're bound by coins and ticket laden. Plenty of recliners and space to sit back and let the munchkins burn off some energy. Bookmark this place. You may not need it now, but you may in the future. Now, back to doing some more air pogo on this play set while I write this! read more

We bought a big play set during the 2019 flower and patio show which makes it a year old as of now. We paid over $4k for just the set. We received free installation because of the show promo. They were nice to work with and we felt we had made a good decision. However, the amount of delaminated wood on this play set currently blows my mind. So of course I reached out and of course was forwarded to the warranty(usually a joke) from the manufacturer. The process alone of having to take multiple pics and know the exact id# to each individual pice that has split is ridiculous. I'd say there is well over 20 individual pieces that have split. Some are bigger and some are smaller for now. I also believe the team that installed the set are partly responsible as most of the splits are where they drilled into the wood. The manufacturer instructed me to have Recreation Unlimited aide in identifying each piece... yeah they sent me a pdf of the manual with thousands of part numbers. So of course to try to get the parts replaced is going to be a hassle and of course they want to charge to ship them on a flatbed and on top of all that Recreation Unlimited quoted me another $175 in labor charges to replace/install them. I am a single mom and cannot install them myslef. I would have been better off to go to Sams Club and bought a less expensive set and just replaced it in a few years vs being stuck with this $4k set that is already looking like it's not going to hold up 12 months later. I'm very disappointed and would not recommend one of their play sets. At this point I'm going to just have to call it a loss as I literally don't even have the time to ID the parts out of this ridiculous manual, let alone jump through all the other hoops. I realize that most of this falls on the manufacturer, but doesn't change the fact that I paid Recreation Unlimited all that money for a play set in their showroom that does not hold its value. Shockingly, Recreation Unlimited doesn't seem to own simple mistakes. Their employee hit a power line trying to install a basketball goal (very simple mistake), but Recreation Unlimited won't pay for the repairs or damaged landscaping from Duke's excavation to repair the power line. There are 2 aspects to this company. First, if you want a great place for your kids to play inside during the winter then go to the Rec Unlimited Showroom. They have more than a dozen outdoor play sets set up that you can play on as well as a basketball court and trampolines. I don't remember the cost, but it's not too bad. The second aspect is buying a play set from them. We purchased ours a little over a year ago. The quality of the product is phenomenal. It's much better than going to a big box store. We read about Recreation Unlimited on line. Visited the showroom and liked what we saw. We had trouble deciding what was the best shed for us because of the many options. After discussing our options with the helpful representatives, we decided on a 10 feet by 16 feet shed with many accessories. The representative visited our property and concluded that they could bring in a pre-built shed and deliver it on a gravel bed instead of building on our property which would have been more expensive. They notified us when the men creating the gravel bed would be by our property. Likewise, the process of unloading our new shed from the truck, maneuvering it to the new site, and setting it on the new site was amazing to see. The whole process was accomplished by one person. Our shed came unpainted to save costs and we are in the process of painting it now. Very impressed with the quality and room our new shed has. We had looked at kits from other sources, all the kits came with no flooring or shingles. Also joist spacing was 24 inches on center. Our shed came with flooring, shingles, and the joist spacing of 16 inches, all of which are much better than any of the kits we were looking at. Amish built for great quality. Recommend looking at Recreation Unlimited for a show yard featuring many different shed models. In addition, they have a software program on the computer called the Shed Builder. We have exactly the same problem as Jessica F. We bought a pergola in June 2019, it took until Sept 2019 to get it installed. We left for the winter shortly after, and on our return in April 2020 found huge cracks, mainly starting where the holes were drilled into the posts, but other areas as well. The amount delaminated wood is outrageous. We've also been shuffled off to the warranty-through-the-company netherworld. We paid R.U. for the pergola, and they are the ones who should make this good. The startup guy Ryan, showed up and and was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. During the demo he commented on the lack of flow stating, "Well you only have one jet pump." Worth the drive to play indoors and let the kids run around. Great use of a showroom to charge a reasonable rate for people to come in and play. It's much appreciated especially in this frigid weather. My kid wouldn't leave the train tables alone. There are so many to choose from. Lots of swing options for kids of all ages. The floor is nice and rubberized for those moments when there is too much swinging right before running. Check out the little houses too. The kids where playing pretend as they visited each house. Basketball courts were fun. They even had a lowered goal for those of us that lacking sweet dunk moves. Comfy seating for parents to watch their littles play. Apparently there is a showroom of hot tubs and pools for the adults to shop too. I will be driving back up that way to let my kid play. read more

Went in to look at new play sets for our son. The cheapest option was almost $2000 PLUS another $500 to deliver and install it. I thought the price was high, but told him I would take the deal if he could deliver it for free, as it did look like a very high quality set. Salesman was completely unwilling to budge on price, install, anything. We left, went to Costco, and bought an even better set for 999.00, free delivery. Do not order online! Clearly they don't have an inventory system in place. I placed an online order which they indicated on their site would be shipped out in 2-3 days. Day three I called to verify shipping and was told the individual who does the shipping was out sick but it should be sent out by the end of the week. I called again the following week to track the status and was told they don't have the item in stock and are not sure when it will ship. Couldn't the first person I spoke with see this??? Avoid at all costs! The owner refused to cover property damage! I had a fairly positive experience up until I had to have my new hot tub serviced due to a few installation hiccups. My hot tub is recessed below my deck so I have a removable framing around it. In order to service the hot tub, the framing must be removed, along with the hot tub's front panel. Unfortunately, their repair tech Theo left us with two deep gouges in our brand new composite deck when he mishandled the framing. The day before the incident, the carpenter building my deck did an inspection of his progress with me and my wife. We combed it over and found no reason for concern. About twelve hours after he left, the next person on our deck was Theo, Recreation Unlimited's hot tub repair technician. I knew he was here because I heard a loud bang. I believe this is when he dropped the framing, which weighs 80+ lbs and has sharp metal reinforcing beams on the underside. I immediately went outside to check to see if everything was okay. Concerned about damage, I returned shortly after he left. It was immediately apparent: we were left with two fresh, deep gouges in one of our PVC composite deck boards. After several email exchanges with Recreation Unlimited's service department, we were asked to provide a quote for repair. Our builder explained that due to the fact that our boards are clipped in like tongue and groove flooring, it would require a two man crew two full working days to remove every board until they reached the damaged board. It's labor intensive. His estimate came out to be $1200 ($250 in materials, $950 in labor). The payment was to be made directly from one company to another, so I had nothing to gain. Alicia, their service manager, quickly responded that our contractor's estimate was "unreasonable" and declined coverage. At my request, this issue was escalated to the owner, Carey Riley, who stated that I needed to prove that Theo damaged my deck otherwise her decision was final. Well, this is a tricky thing to prove. A security camera wouldn't pick up on the gouges; I would have needed high resolution slow motion video or something crazy like that. After some consideration, I responded with what I believed was a reasonable offer: a signed statement from me, my wife, and our contractor (who represents a multi-million dollar company) stating that the gouges were not present prior to Theo's arrival. I added, "Since you're the one asking, do you have any other ideas for how I can prove this to you?". She replied with, "... there is no way to provide proof of something that did not happen. No., I am sorry a signed statement will not make a difference. I am sorry but my decision is final." So, there we have it. No matter what amount of proof I could provide, Recreation Unlimited was never willing to repair my property damage. Consider their service department's work "AT YOUR OWN RISK" or better yet, take your business elsewhere! Find a company who stands behind their work and treats your home like their own. read more

First review of 2017 goes to Unlimited Recreation! I attended a birthday party during the on a Saturday held a Unlimited Recreation for my goddaughter. I really like this place because it's a good marketing strategy. They have basically set up their trampolines and children recreational equipment such as playground, clubhouses, and swingsets. Your child for very small fee ( I think $5) can go and play all those items before you buy. You can also get a good idea of how that item will fit in your backyard. They have two rooms for parties. They were not really restrictive about what you could bring for the birthday party. A lot of the parties had pizza, cupcakes, veggies.... whatever. You just can't bring those items to the play area. The parties are about 2 hours, which I think is enough time for kids to play. However, I think you do have to be strategic on when you're going to allow your party to eat. Our party had a lot of time to play before and after pizza and cupcakes. As far as location goes you're not too far out and Noblesville . This place is a little hard to find but not too out of the way. So make sure your GPS is on point when you come here. read more

My kids love this place! It's like playing at a park, but isn't dependent on weather! They're 2 & 3 but can easily use all of the equipment there (trampolines, large swing sets, basketball courts, play houses and even train tables!) I also love how many places there are for parents to sit down and relax. I'm just rating their open play as I haven't purchased their products. They have many sturdy pieces of playground equipment in their showroom which can entertain kids young and old. They have several nice train tables and a duplo table set up, which is a great touch for keeping the babies and tots entertained. The trampolines are a favorite for our three year old. WOULD NOT BUY FROM THEM - PLEASE READ.....We recently purchased a permanent basketball hoop set-up from BasketballGoalStore.com which is part of Recreation Unlimited. We were told it would be "curbside delivery" which we assumed meant that the delivery person would unload the boxes and leave outside your home (at the curb). We paid $100 for delivery which was done through Estes. The driver (who was a 70 yr old man) showed up alone with no ramp on the back of the truck and inadequate equipment to unload items of this size and asked for my help. In the course of helping him, I severely injured my back which resulted in a trip to the ER and $1,100 in medical bills. Alicia from Recreation Unlimited sympathized with me and said she would more clearly state how the homeowner must be the delivery person, but would not reimburse any of the costs. She did add the following disclaimer to the company website which i recommended you READ CAREFULLY - "You WILL need to be there to unload the product. Shipping will be a curbside delivery. You will be expected to inspect and sign for the shipment. Please inspect the boxes and ensure they are all in good condition. If you are thinking about refusing any shipment, please call us first. Most goal shipments will come in 3 separate boxes. Please also note that it is the customer's responsibility to dispose of the pallet on which the goal is shipped" She also added the following language elsewhere on their website: "Delivery is curbside only. This means that the driver is not required to help you off load your products. No lift gate is used and you will be responsible to unload the product and bring it into your own home" There is NO mention of how large and heavy these boxes are and that there is a risk of serious injury to the homeowner. Please beware and my recommendation is to use a company that guarantees a proper delivery. read more

I went to put the hoop together and realize that the hardware kit was missing, was suppose to be in the pole box. I bought a garage shed from them one year ago and I already have major problems with the roof and when I called to inform them and ask them to fix it under the warranty they said the warranty won't cover it because the damage was done by the wind!!!!
