The view is nice, but it is nothing spectacular. A bar, gift shop and small restaurant are at the top. There are numerous pictures detailing the history of the Incline. The "Machine Room" can be seen through the glass windows, where you can see the gears and the cables associated with the Incline Railway engineering feat in action. The price of $22 is a little steep for this experience. Plus, you have to pay for parking ($3 of 3 hours; $5 for 3 hours plus). To make it worth your while, I suggest you walk out of the gift shop and go three blocks down to see the National Park Services, Point Park. The neighborhood and the homes also make this a very nice walk.

A local outfitter also offers water activities rentals like paddle boards canoes and motorized ski. Definitely worthy of a visit!

That said.... I went on a tour to see how this place was because I had heard so many great things about it. It was like a dream come true for me. If you are a Tech person then you would love this place. However, this place is for kids/teens. They provide camps throughout the year teaching them valuable skills that could eventually land them jobs as entrepreneurs, Google workers, the list goes on. I love how they're giving our youth things to do, actual things that bring benefit to the youth. The set up in there is so very inviting and the staff seemed to enjoy their jobs. Okay I almost gave this an average but I do come from San Diego so it was pretty simple day. It's…read more June on a Monday and it's not too hot today so some of the critters were actually out and about. It cost me $17.95 to get in by myself with a 1-year-old. Once we were inside it was $4 to feed a giraffe, $3 to ride the carousel, $5 to ride the train, $12 for a kids meal lunch so things add up pretty fast! But if you are a large family I would definitely pack a lunch there's plenty of picnic spots. It's a lovely place to walk around for a couple hours on a not so humid day. Maintenance today is now done by Larry Ridge and his volunteers on a monthly basis. This antique carousel has a lot of character & its intricate detail and craftsmanship is evident. It's a carousel for all ages, for the young and the young at heart. Located in Coolidge Park, Payment is a $1, credit card only. The payment machine is to the right close to the fencing. Punch in the number of tickets you want to purchase and then insert your credit card and leave it in (it takes a while- be patient) until it states to remove it. Be sure to have your tickets on hand. There is an employee manning the entrance to ride the carousel. The ride itself is sheltered from the elements & a bathroom is located in the same building. I found it really fun and entertaining as an adult.

Get tired of the zoo you can go to the park and play on the playground. Get tired of the playground or want to cool off you go to the splash pad / pool. $3 entrance! I absolutely had a blast today with my grandson. Everything is meticulously maintained. There was a broken down structure in the playground but other than that it was pretty well maintained. The splash pad was clean and looked very safe and I love how everything was fenced in away from the pools so you don't lose a toddler. They also have a merry-go-round. I will let you all know that review when I go back to go into the zoo section! Good job Chattanooga this is brilliant!
