I had a great experience with this place. I researched a little bit beforehand, but this was one of the few places that blows soil in, and the price was very reasonable!! Had red bark blow in bark once again this year. We were going to be out of town the Friday they were coming so we called to see if they want us to pay ahead of time. The bark was blown in fast but they covered all my stepping stones and some plants which I didn't discover until after they had left.

They do a great job. They are thoughtful when blowing in the mulch and they do a nice job of cleaning up with both a blower and water.

JR with truck 11 and his crew did a fabulous job. The hemlock was even all over the yard and it improved that yard 100%. They made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. This was the first time getting bark dust, so I wasn't sure what to expect when it came to pricing, choices, and what to expect when they delivered. We have a raised back yard, so the only smart way for us to have bark dust delivered was to have Red Bark blow it. The team of 4 were very professional and efficient. They walked around our property to get a good look at where we needed the bark dust, and got to work straight away. They used leaf blowers, brooms, shovels - the whole nine yards to make the layer of bark dust even and clean. I called a few places to get quotes and Red Bark was not only the best price, but the best at delivery and meeting customer expectations. I will definitely use them again. And not only were we happy customers, but 2 of our neighbors also had their lawns done at the same time! Great work and excellent customer service! read more

We used Red Bark two years ago and were very happy, they took their time over an hour blowing dark hemlock 3 inches high over our yard. Called them this year, and they finally had the right hemlock in stock, although it was twice the price. They showed up, blew bark for 12 minutes, and then left, I have the time stamps on our cameras. I called to complain, as the bark was only one inch high. The woman on the phone was apologetic and told me that was wrong, and they would come the next day. The next day, they showed up, and this time blew bark (again for not even 15 minutes!) around the sides of the house, despite the fact that I had not only told their staff the day before, but also left a note. Finally, they did a poor job even on the wrong areas, see picture. I want to support local business, but paying double for 1/3 of the product is inexcusable. Two stars for at least doing 2019 correctly. read more

On May 18, booked a bark delivery for June 7, "between 12 and 4". June 7th came, 1:00 passed, then 2:00, then at 3:18 I was called presumably from the truck saying they could not make it that afternoon (truck broken down or some such). I said okay, what time tomorrow, and was told "between 1 and 3". At 6:12 PM that evening I received another call from the truck from Jose saying "We coming now with your bark, are you ready?" I told him I needed it tomorrow as promised, he hung up. I called his number back, and also the office number, and told them I wanted a call by 9:00 tomorrow morning to discuss the day's events. No callback, of course. So I called the office at 9:30 and spoke to Tomas, who confirmed that they would be out "between 12 and 4" (notice, not between 1 and 3). Aaaand of course, I received a call from the truck at 3:08 saying "We running late, we be there between 4:30 and 5:00". When I spoke to the office (again, Tomas) a few minutes later, I asked him to promise that they would be there before 5..."Well, they *should* be". I said no, that's not good enough (again, based on the history above) and reminded him of our conversation in the morning, WHICH HE DENIED HAD OCCURRED. I gave him one last opportunity to make good on 5:00, which he would not, at which point I cancelled the order. So...I waited three weeks to end up with no bark mulch, and now am at the end of the line with another provider (should deliver on June 30th). Red Bark has a snazzy website with lots of promises, but don't be fooled...these people are super sketchy and I would not trust them to (a) deliver as promised (b) deliver quality goods and (c) be on my property, period. read more

These guys were top notch. On time, courteous, professional and were in and out in literally 30 mins. They had 4 guys and one of these guys had a blower and did all cleanup and "sculpting" afterwards. We literally had nothing to do when they left and we had some pretty intricate areas. They specifically asked us how deep we wanted the chips and mulch to be and did exactly that - 3" We had 2 crews; 1 arrived with the mulch, then about an hour later the bark chip guys arrived. Had these guys come blow in bark today...they were awesome. Showed up sane day (other 3 I called were all 2-6weeks out!) and they did an amazing job. Very thorough clean up as well. Red Bark is awesome! When no one in town could help me out, Red Bark came through. I needed two units of barkdust blown in to our rental property in time for an open house. I called five different companies, and they were all two weeks out. Red Bark was there two days after I called. Four guys showed up, and they worked seamlessly. The entire job was done in less than an hour and they made sure the excess dust was cleared from pathways, decks and the driveway. I'd use them again in a heartbeat. You should, too. read more

Red Bark did a great job! I am a landscape contractor and had them blow in 22 yards of mulch into an apartment complex I just planted. They were on time, worked quickly, and most importantly did an EXCEPTIONAL job cleaning up. They blew the whole site clean and even sprayed down ALL the new landscape plants clean of dust. Super impressive! Furthermore, they have some of the best prices in town AND were able to schedule us only 4 days out whereas all the other companies I called (I called over 10) were all at least 2 weeks out. 5 stars! read more

We have used this company 3 times now to blow in bark dust and once again they did an exceptional job! They were a couple of weeks out for delivery when I called so I asked them to go ahead and make the apt. but if they had a cancelation or opportunity to come sooner I would appreciate it. They came a week sooner, did a great job with bowling the bark in and cleaning up. They didn't trample my plants and I didn't even have to be home. They were happy to leave me a bill. Waited 2 weeks for a delivery between "2 and 4" on June 9th and received a call that they were running late but would be there for sure between "4:30 - 5:30". No call and no delivery. Will never use them again! They didn't come when they were supposed to. Called last minute and rescheduled for the next day. Then when they did come, they sprayed the wrong bark. We took sample to Macfarlands bark to see what we got and it wasn't what we had ordered. Red Bark sent one of their guys out to look at the bark and assured us it was what we ordered. Of course he is going to tell us that. We also brought back a sample of the bark we wanted which was obviously different than what we got. Lastly, they sprayed bark so thin, roughly 1/4"! Within two weeks there are spots w no bark because it was so thin. We paid hundreds for something we didn't want and got hardly any of it. I was so excited at the thought that I didn't have to spread bark, but this was not worth it! read more

I have used Red Bark several times in the past years with success. Currently that is not the case. I have been left hanging on my deliveries and it is very frustrating. They tell me they will call me back and they do not. I was told one day and it was the next. Hopefully they will make this right. read more

I used this company a few years ago and was satisfied with the product and quality of service. I used their service again late Spring of this year after having replanted my yard. I do not normally complain about service for anything, whether it's at a restaurant or car repairs. However, this time I feel that it's necessary to provide an account of my experience so others may think twice before using this company. First and foremost the product was absolutely inferior to what I have received in the past and should never be sold as "Medium Fresh Hemlock". The material obviously came from an area that had been burned (they probably got a deal from timber that was burned from the forest fires we had this year). It was blackened and oily looking. It also soon became infested with weeds. Second, the coverage was very thin in a number of places so the soil was exposed in many places. Finally, when I asked them to show me a gauge reading of the final quantity they were unable to provide that. They just kept telling me "2 1/2 units". Now I am used to working with crews where English is not their native language and I am usually able to communicate with at least one person on the crew. However, this time there was literally no one on the crew that spoke english. I could not really ask any questions, I could not express any concerns and I simply had to let them go. I was texted by someone from the company afterword saying they needed my email so they could bill me. I responded with my email address and a long explanation of my concerns. A week goes by with no response then I receive another text asking for my email again. I send it again with the same explanation of concerns. The response then was, "Yes, I'm sorry sir. I will remove you from my list." I sort of thought they were acknowledging fault at that point and writing off the service, giving me reason to think that the company did indeed have integrity and that customer satisfaction was important to them. However, two months later I received a bill in the mail with no apology or explanation for the concerns I raised. I will pay this bill because that's the type of people we are. So the moral of the story is I guess you never know who you are dealing with until something goes wrong and then the best course is to just take the high road and move on. read more

Great company, delivered rich on time, price was right and the crew they sent out was extremely professional and blew the quality bark as asked in very high quality fashion. The crew of five hit the ground running, each man knew his job and they were all over the task at hand. The foreman walked me around the entire site as we measured the depth together and I could see they had exceeded my instructions to make sure a great job was done. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. They promised delivery between 1-3 on a Friday. I rented equipment to till the compost they were delivering into the job site. At 3:30; i called to ask where they were - he answered and said it would be between 4-5 now. At 5:30 i called again, and got their after hour answering machine. Left 2 voicemail messages; no call back. Wasted $100 in equipment rentals because of their inability to schedule or follow through. They did not even call me back to make it right - I will be complaining online, to the BBB and to the contracting board. It's just bad business. read more

Red Bark/ Vancouver WA did an EXCELLENT job! We had 15 yards of bark chips blown around our property in about 45 minutes, and it has never looked better! They arrived on-time, were very obviously good at their job, respectful, courteous, and had the best pricing. They cleaned up very well, and the placement of the bark chips was great- my plants are not covered up. I have already recommended them to friends and will continue to do so. read more

I scheduled an appointment for between 8-11 am for 2 yards of bark dust and cedar chips for a 10x16 play area. They called back and said they would need to bump me out between 11-1. At 12:30 they still were not there and I decided to call on their ETA. Jesus answered and said he would call the truck then call me right back, but he never called. I called again at 1:30 quite upset. I said, you told me you would call me right back and they were late. I said this was unacceptable. Jesus said, okay and hung up on me. I called back even more upset now, asking why he did this and he said I told him I didn't want my order. If I could only reach through the phone. I said, no I need this order. When, will it be to my house. He said, it will be there by 2:30. Okay send them. They call back again and tell me not until 4:30 now. I just said send them. They then arrive at 3:30 and did not bring the cedar chips and the bark dust they only brought 1 1/2 yards. I have never had such bad service in my life. read more
