I had an amazing time dining at Red Beard. My server Keanen was awesome and super nice. The food was so good, definitely would recommend checking this spot out.

They have such a great food and drink menu. I love their smoked salmon lox and all the gluten free options for when my family is visiting. I love how much they make in house and how much they support local businesses like the farmers, distilleries and breweries.

A coffee shop that sells craft beer too. A rather unusual mix. Parking is available in a small lot behind the building, as well as the side streets. The inside is nice and new, and definitely has that hipster edumacated feel to it. There is a nice large patio next to the building. They serve diner-style food here too, but we didn't try. Staff were friendly and talkative. Just a heads up - the beers here are mostly local, but none of it is brewed in-house. We were under the impression that they made some of their own beer here. Nope. Pricing is a bit high, at $7-8 a glass. For this reason I'm not sure if I can recommend it, especially since there are other craft places such as Noble Pig and Red Collar around town. The place is also famous for coffee, but we also didn't try.

Easily the best brunch in Kamloops, and the best coffee. They serve their cappuccino as an 8 oz traditional, as it should be. We've been a few times now and the French toast is a family favourite. Nice and firm and flavourful, not the soggy mush that most places serve. The chorizo sandwich is also delicious. They play great tunes, too. I'm keen to try their great beer selection at a later hour sometime.

I have been to red beard before. They used to be really good! I've noticed their food slipping a bit. Today I had the "pesto" Bacon sandwich and it was disappointing! Their breakfast sandwiches used to come on a crisp ciabatta bun, now they come with "filler bread" big cheap bbq hamburger buns. I asked for extra pesto after I had a bite or two because I could taste no sign of pesto! Could have fooled me. The lady said that would be 50cents and that it's pesto mayo.. makes sense. My friend had the breakfast salad which was decent! Might not come back here... was looking forward to a good breakfast

Great coffee but the service sucks. Been there a few times now and nothing has changed, so I'm done.

Hey Yelp! Red Beard doesn't show up on a search for coffee! Why not? Seriously the only place on the north shore to get a decent coffee.

Kamloops' only coffee shop that turns into a bar. They also have great sandwhiches and delicious beer choices.

Got to try venison taco the first time. Got a bite of all the different tacos and honestly thought all of them were really good. Their baked yeye bannock reminded me of a sweeter and less dense version of artisan rolls. Good price and a good portion.

Reading the other reviews, I see I'm not alone in stopping here en route to Penticton (it's a good mid-point for a break). There's a small parking strip on the side of the building. I love supporting smaller shops and cafes, and this particular one is indigenous-owned so it seems extra special! Love the motto, too: "Don't panic..We have bannock!". Cute! The cafe is small but clean, with Indigenous artwork on the walls. Of course we ordered bannock! I ordered a maple one, and my kid ordered a berry one (might've been the Saskatoon berry, I forget). I'll be honest, they were absolutely delicious, and fresh, and fluffy and sweet and glazed, but mine absolutely did NOT have much of a maple taste - like, AT ALL. It was like the glaze on a Krispy Kreme glazed donut. Delicious, yes, and sugary, but not maple-y. My kid's berry one was very subtle in its berry flavor. Again, excellent, but not knock-out berry-y. To me, these treats were similar to donuts without the holes. More like fluffy fritters. Delicious, but not as unique as I thought they'd be. As for the coffees....my maple latte, again, sadly, did not taste at ALL maple-y. But it was an excellent coffee: very smooth and flavorful. You could tell the beans were excellent. There just was no maple taste. But my kid had a berry latte (again, I forget what kind), but this drink was EXCELLENT and it totally DID have a distinct berry flavor to it, and it was wonderful! (We both tried both bannocks and both lattes, and we both agreed on this review). We didn't try the sandwiches but they looked quite good. They also had some cute Kekuli Cafe merch for sale.

Fortunately, we…read morestopped during the early part of the season - not nearly as chaotic-busy as it usually is. And, you can't stop there without buying at LEAST three kinds of their signature fruit pies. My "go to's" are (of course) apple, blueberry and strawberry-rhubarb. Sinfully delicious; every one of them. During the Holidays, the pumpkin pies literally fly off the massive counters, so get 'em when you can. Their pillowy-soft loaves of fresh-baked bread are also a mandatory thing. Sourdough or cinnamon-raisin are my favorites. We also picked up a couple of their great deli sandwiches; made with ingredients from their gardens and bakery. I chose the Country Club, which is a grilled turkey, bacon and Swiss cheese on potato bread. Outstanding! The bread is thick-cut and buttery, crispy. They don't shirk on the ingredients. Plenty of meat-and-cheese-to-bread going on. However, make sure and clear up some mad cash because prices are a bit premium. But the quality and abundance of what they offer is completely worth it - especially when you're only passing by once a year. ....and a long year in between it is....
