We stayed one night, and were very happy with that decision. The room was comfortable, and the owners were wonderful.

The developer in charge of the renovation of this space actually worked with historians to preserve the historical features. I was blown away by the amount of sunlight coming from these enormous red brick windows. The coolest part is that the high ceilings have wood beams, and reach a height of about 16 feet. I reserved a single King Suite with a river view (Room 410). It was a very spacious room! There's a microwave and a refrigerator to the right when you first walk into the room. There's a Keurig coffee machine near the flat screen TV. Everything looked modern and new. The furnishings are from West Elm. The bathroom was clean and bright. There are bath gel, shampoo, and conditioner wall dispensers that are conveniently located in the shower stall. They have blackout window curtains that work almost too well. The room gets super dark with the high ceiling. There was a MGM Biscuits playoff game the first night I was there, and the curtains totally blocked out the huge LED field lighting. As for sound, I think I may have heard the train horn faintly in the background once or twice. I normally wear earplugs, but I never had to use them the entire time I stayed at this hotel. The room also stayed cool the entire time. I never had to adjust the temperature. The hotel staff were all friendly & helpful. Checking in was a breeze. Typically check-in time is at 4:00 pm. I arrived early, but fortunately my room was ready. Breakfast is included with your room fee. It's more like a continental breakfast with a few hot breakfast options. You can make your own waffle, or get some scrambled eggs and bacon. I'd say it was an average breakfast. I wanted to give a 5 star review, but unfortunately I didn't get any housekeeping services. The reservation confirmation said that guests will receive housekeeping every other day. I stayed there for 3 nights and didn't get that service. They did set me up with 3 sets of towels, and I'm grateful for that. Other than that, it was a beautiful and comfortable stay. I wouldn't hesitate to book another stay at this hotel in the future.

There was trash everywhere, including used pads in the bathroom, and the bed sheets looked messy and unmade. I politely asked a housekeeping employee if the room could be cleaned while I was out working, and she seemed irritated and wa rude about the request. Things got even more frustrating later that night. I returned to the hotel around 1:30 a.m. after work, and my room key suddenly didn't work. When I went downstairs, the front desk employee told me I wasn't checked in and said there were no rooms available. I explained that I obviously had been checked in because I already had a key and all of my belongings were in the room. Eventually, she gave me another key and let me back in. Then the next morning, the manager knocked on my door asking who I was, which just added to the confusion and inconvenience. Also, just something to be aware of: it's an older building, so you can hear people walking around pretty clearly from the rooms above. That part didn't bother me personally, but it may bother lighter sleepers. For the price, I expected a much smoother and cleaner experience.

The bed was dreamy comfortable,…read moreand the soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion that was supplied in the large, clean bathroom was too luxurious!! We had issues with the cards not working both properly on the side door to enter the building and our room, it was a pain in the butt, but not a deal-breaker. We had our dog with us (Hotel gets + for that) but the area to walk her was dark, and there were some very sketchy people just "hanging out" in the parking lot, didn't see a single one of them in or enter the hotel, a few of them scared me a little, and my husband wouldn't let me go out there alone to walk the dog because of it. That was a BIG negative.... We were both pretty mad that they didn't open the kitchen that night even though the sign in the lobby said it was supposed to be - we were told there weren't enough people in the hotel that night, so we had to use Uber Eats to get food, and it was insanely expensive. The BEST part of my stay were the people working there that afternoon/evening. D'ondrea, Chris, and Rasheem were the absolute BEST! We got there late in the afternoon so D'ondrea left her shift not long after, but they went above and beyond to help me with some things, were friendly, FUNNY, and just all-around great people! I talked to Chris and Rasheem on and off for several hours and they were just awesome.... I gave this hotel 3 stars based on the issues with the cards not working that great, creepy people in the parking lot that didn't seem to have any reason to be there, and no food to eat, but D'ondrea, Chris, and Rasheem get 300 stars!!! Thanks Chris and Rasheem!! ~Diane

Failed a senior leader traveling for an important business meeting…read more I am an assistant who relies on Dayuse regularly to arrange day-use rooms for my leader while traveling. It is a service I have trusted to ensure smooth, professional arrangements until now. My leader was traveling for an important business meeting and needed a room to prepare, freshen up, and arrive at his best. I booked and paid through Dayuse in advance. When he arrived at the hotel, he was turned away completely. The hotel would not honor the booking. No room, no alternatives nothing. Left at the door before a critical meeting. Dayuse has since offered a refund, and while that is the right thing to do, it completely misses the point. A refund does not give back the time lost, the stress caused, or the composure my leader needed walking into an important meeting. When I contact a support team in a crisis like this, I need them to find a solution another room, another hotel, something. Instead, they offered money back and nothing more. This experience has seriously shaken my confidence in Dayuse as a professional tool. When the stakes are high, this platform cannot be relied upon. I urge anyone using it for business-critical travel to have a backup plan because Dayuse won't provide one.

I can let a lot go. I expect a clean room, knowledgeable staff, and a safe place to sleep. Unfortunately, this hotel failed on all but possibly the last. We were traveling with our 16-month-old for a family wedding and booked two nights. Prior to arrival, my husband called (on January 9, 2026), to confirm a crib was available. A hotel employee assured him one would be provided. After a six-hour drive, we arrived around 10:10pm with an overtired baby who didn't sleep a wink on the drive up. While my husband unloaded the car, I took our son upstairs to start bedtime. The room immediately raised concerns: tattered, stained drapes that left residue on my hands, and several dead and alive ladybugs on the ceiling and dresser. Unpleasant, but manageable--until it wasn't. At 10:30pm, my husband returned to tell me the hotel did not have a crib--at all. Despite confirming earlier by phone with a human, none was available. With Walmart closing at 11pm, he rushed out to buy a Pack 'n Play while I walked laps in the hallway trying to calm the baby. Back in the room, I opened the refrigerator and found an opened, half-eaten pint of ice cream with a spoon still inside. At that point, I had no confidence the room had been properly cleaned. I went to the front desk holding my still-awake child, explained my utter disappointment--trying not to cry, and asked when the general manager would be in. The response was limited to "I don't know, I apologize," with no attempt at resolution or assistance. Our baby finally fell asleep at 11:57pm. We didn't sleep until after 12:30am. He woke up screaming at 6:41am, with a 10am wedding ahead. We packed up and left that morning, fully prepared to lose our money and spend more on another room else where. (We are eternally grateful to the Hampton Inn in Eastchase who treated our situation as urgent, and had a clean room ready two hours before check in so all three of us could get a much needed nap.) In trying to save money by booking the DoubleTree, we ended up spending an extra $70 on a Pack 'n Play, $175+ on another hotel, and forfeiting the second prepaid night. For that cost, we could have stayed somewhere far nicer from the start. The front desk staff was polite, but ineffective. No solutions were offered--no attempt to contact another property, locate a crib elsewhere, or provide any meaningful gesture. My husband emailed the hotel the night of January 9 and was later told an "investigation" was opened. Over a week later, there has been no follow-up. We waited to post this review to allow the hotel to make things right. But, here we are. We learned an expensive lesson on what was supposed to be a quick trip to visit loved ones. Don't make the same mistake we did.

As soon as we walked in, it smelled like I was hit in the face by an ashtray. I've stayed in plenty of "unassuming" hotels (a remodeled Super 8 type where the outside is dated but the inside is clean and updated) and I was assuming from photos that this was going to be one of those experiences. The room itself doesn't look too bad on first blush, but it only got worse as we settled in for the night. There were cobwebs, grime, and other mystery stains and such everywhere. My husband and I decided to stay because it was already so late and it was only for one night on our way to visit family in Florida. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on-- it felt like laying on a thick blanket on hardwood floor. The door to the bathroom didn't close because the door was hung crooked on the frame. The shower had almost no water pressure and I think I felt dirtier after I got out. There was a TV in the room but it was SO blurry and the colors were off. The price was appealing and the photos looked nice. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Two stars for the incredibly kind, sweet staff at the desk during check-in and check-out. I could tolerate it for a night, but I wouldn't stay here again and couldn't recommend to a friend.

When I entered the room, it recked the smell of month old urine and fecal waste. The entire site needs to be condemned. Even worse, the agent at Hotels.com attempted to give me hella pushback after requesting a refund within 5 minutes of checkin. I wouldn't let a dead dog sleep there. Beware!
