My family found this place by accident while we were on vacation. The service was good. The food was good. The pricing was reasonable. I had The Bulldog (Reuben that also has pastrami) on Rye with cole slaw. I also tried my wife's potato salad and my son's meatball sandwhich special. I also had a bite of my daughters cannoli. Everything was delicious. The restraurant is small, but the service was good and the wait time was reasonable. Definitely wortha visit if you are in the area. read more

I was not aware there is a $3 up charge to get an extra plate for a shared meal if I had realized this I would have eaten off his plate since the cost of sandwich and chips was the same or more than a hot meal somewhere else. The Red Brick Deli has an interior of reminiscent of an NYC deli. The similarities stop there. The BLT was plain white bread, masquerading as sourdough bread, with a bit of mayonnaise, a limp piece of soggy bacon, a slice of tomato, and topped off with a bunch of small lettuce pieces that came from the lettuce core. The chips were the small broken "last of the bag" crumbs with a $2.00 split charge.The male person in charge of the deli delights in touching every woman on her back and leaving an deli advertising sticker behind. Very cute deli. I like to see a new business opening in downtown Murphy, so many have closed the last few years. This place was packed! Great to see! I had a reuben sandwich which was excellent. The potato salad was almost identical to Daily Grind, just down the street. Maybe they buy from same supplier. The service was good also. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is slightly pricier for the a similar menu as the Daily Grind and The Daily Grind has craft beer, wine and hand made gourmet coffee in addition to the food menu. Reading the reviews on this place and on a recommendation of a local merchant, we decided to give this place a try. We were pleasantly surprised! Wicked friendly husband and wife owners. Even though we arrived close to closing time there was no rush or urgency for us to hasten our Lunch. Food was excellent. Huge Reuben sandwiches and the broccoli Cheese soup was fabulous. Potato salad Was tangy with a bacon flavor, not my favorite, but it was very good. Cole slaw was excellent as well. Prices Were As Expected of any eating establishment but you definitely got what you paid for. My husband and I have been trying to find some decent restaurants in the Murphy area and we found one more. Eat here and enjoy! BTW THE PLACE WAS SUPER CLEAN TOO! Loved it! read more

We just saw the deli sign and stopped for lunch. No it was not like a NYC deli, the Reuben was not greasy and dripping. In my skinny indulgent years I would have loved that. But this was perfect. Too bad we found red brick Deli on our last day of vacation. We both had bulldog sandwiches which neither of us have ever had corned beef and pastrami together on the same Reuben. Delicious!!!!! The meat was so tender and flavorful. Potato salad was awesome just like others have said. Got a couple pieces of key lime pie to go for the kids but the owner actually let me lick some off the spatula and I had to have my own piece. Truly great key lime pie up in the nc mountains. Stopped in here in a rainy day while visiting family. It was a quaint little restaurant that offers an extensive deli menu. Chicken and dumplings was a perfect soup of the day. I was tempted to order it, but decided on the Cuban. My friend ordered a stuffed tomato. Our meals were very large. The Cuban was amazing. Restaurant owner visited each table and spoke to all of the customers. He checked that everyone was ok and that the food was good. The key lime pie was amazing. The cannoli was divine. Excellent place for huge portions with fair prices. You will not leave hungry. We got wraps which were double the size of most places. This is a unique deli/diner, the owner, who prepares the food fresh, is friendly and came to our table to make sure everything was right. My husband and I split a Cuban ($2 charge for splitting a plate, clearly defined in the menu AND includes an extra side item) and each had potato salad as a side. We also ordered the chocolate cake to share. Everything was very good! The pork on the sand which was excellent! If ever back in this area we'll be back!
