Only thing I didn't like was that we were seated right next to the entrance door, and it was a very cold rainy day. The owner propped the front door open and it was freezing. I finally decided to ask him to shut it, but he told me that his wife (the cook) got really hot back in the kitchen so that was why it was open. Well, fix the problem within the kitchen (like maybe a big fan?!), then your customers can thaw out and enjoy their food. That did not sit right with me. read more

We're just moving here and we're looking for a non chain, hometown breskfast place. The atmosphere is down home and relaxed. The staff are all very friendly and our food came out quickly. But the real 5 stars go to the food. Everything is delicious and we've decided to make this our new go to for breakfast and lunch. The sausage patty was huge and flavorful. We went 2 days in a row while in town and it didn't disappoint either time! I had the chuckwagon steak breakfast and the bacon cheeseburger and onion rings the next day. Great little spot with super friendly owners and great service. They make their own bread, biscuits, bread pudding and cinnamon rolls the size of your head. Highly recommend! A female brought the three drinks but neither the owner nor the female took the other two drink orders. The owner was too busy chatting with customers he obviously knew. Went there for the first time and the first thing is the TV in the corner was blasting Fox News. I'm thinking I am ok with that even though it was loud! There was a news story on the TV and who I assumed was the owner made a loud, obnoxious. political comment about the news story. Last straw fire me. I just wanted to have a nice, quiet meal with good food. The comments were nasty and loud looking fur people to agree with him. My entire party left before even ordering coffee. Just an FYI, you probably missed a $50-$60 sale because of your actions and I'll never come back again. The election is over. I arrived early on Sunday morning so I could get a cinnamon bun with my breakfast. When I got there I was told that all the buns where bought by one person before he was open for business. Last week I was told to get there before 9 so I could get one. It was inconsiderate to not reserve some buns for his regular customers to buy during regular hours. Food is good but the overall experience of dining here is stressful. I've eaten here twice and it was the same experience both times. We show up and the restaurant is full. The owner sees you walking through the door and before the door even shuts behind you the owner is flustered, out of breath and yells across the restaurant that "there's no tables, you'll have to wait". Ok, no big deal, we can wait. Table opens, we sit, owner brings water over and is breathing hard, asks us if we need a job? No, we just want breakfast. A new couple walks in and before the door shuts behind them the owner stops taking our order to yell at them "there's no tables" so they turn around and leave. Owner does not offer any type of "hey, thanks for coming- we're busy right now but if you just hang out we'll have a table soon", nothing like that. Dude- you own a restaurant. Expect it to be busy. Your customers don't care about your problems. You seem extremely annoyed at anyone who tries to walk in the door and eat there. You running around the restaurant all flustered like a damn crackhead will not keep you in business for long. People will remember how you made them feel and you make people feel like they should've gone somewhere more welcoming. read more

Our order was taken from a server sitting at a table behind us, because he couldn't be bothered to stand at our table. I had the French Toast and sausage. The French toast lacked any flavor and amounted to soggy bread. The sausage was just inedible. My husband ordered the two egg breakfast with home fries. This convenience store restaurant has one employee who cooks, takes orders, and money. Service was slow, as they were busy. The breakfast was served on paper plates, and locals definitely got more attention (coffee) than tourists. Price was reasonable, though it is a cash only business. Be aware! read more
