It's located in the heart of Brickell close to Brickell City Centre and next to Talkin' Tacos. I've passed it many times and never been before. Our comedy show was at 9pm so we got there early and you enter a bar area with a small dance floor and DJ booth. The door guy told us to wait next to the doors by DJ booth. They opened the doors a little after 9pm and let us in. There's this whole other room in the back with tons of seating, a stage and bar area. Some of the decor felt a bit outdated, but it was still a cool vibe nonetheless. The space is so big and has so much potential for improvement, We snagged seating in the middle area. There were several cozy couples seating in front of the stage but 2nd row, we didn't want to get picked on the entire night. Lol. The two main hosts of the comedy show looked like they worked at Blackbird Ordinary as they had staff jackets on. They were in our opinion, the FUNNIEST!!! I became overwhelmed, and before I even had to ask for help, two waitresses came over with napkins and asked if I was okay. A few moments later, Kirsten, the manager , came over, sat with me, gave me a hug, and genuinely listened while I explained what was going on. She didn't rush the conversation or make me feel like just another customer...she truly cared. She even invited me on a walk around the restaurant to help me calm down, reassuring me the entire time that everything was going to be okay. She showed me the beautiful Tea Room and encouraged me to bring my friends and sister over to enjoy it. That ended up being the highlight of our night. The views, atmosphere, and hospitality completely changed the mood for our entire group. From there, every member of the staff continued to make us feel welcome. The bartender kept us laughing, celebrated with us by pouring shots, and made the experience so much fun. The front host (I'm so sorry I forgot your name!) also checked in on us and made sure we were having a great time. Even the security guard went above and beyond... he held his flashlight up while we were taking pictures so we could have the best lighting for our photos. It may seem like a small gesture, but it perfectly showed how every single person on the team genuinely cared about making our night special. However, there still weren't enough seats for everyone, and two bridesmaids and I ended up standing for most of the dinner. They did eventually bring out two chairs, but by that point I was already a bit frustrated. Another challenge was communication with the staff. We were being charged for sparkling water when we had asked for regular water, which should have been included with our meal. I also had to remind them that our package included two drinks per person. The drinks came out slowly, while the food came out quickly.
