I had a wonderful date night at Calle Dragones in Miami with my wife on a Saturday evening. Since…read morewe arrived early, the restaurant was still quiet and empty, which made for a relaxed start to the night. Our server, Lianys, was phenomenal -- attentive, warm, and professional without ever being intrusive. She made excellent recommendations for both appetizers and main courses. The ambiance was casual elegant, and the live music added so much to the experience. A very talented band was playing, along with a young singer whose jazzy voice was absolutely beautiful. We ordered the black bean risotto and the Chino Latino fried rice, and both dishes were delicious, creative, and full of flavor. The prices were moderate for the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere, and the wine list, while modest, was very well priced. I especially recommend the Albariño, which was excellent quality at a very affordable price and, in my opinion, the best value on the list. Overall, it was a lovely and romantic night out, and Lianys was definitely the highlight of the evening.

So starting with the vibe/atmosphere 5/5 They really have such a beautiful location! The hostess quickly attended us and gave me a rose which was so sweet considering its Valentine's Day and my first as a wife so I got a keep sake cute touch. As for the entertainment throughly enjoyed the singer and band truly my favorite part to have a bottle of wine and have dinner to lovely music set. Service 4/4 Again it was Valentine's Day so the server was certainly busy but very sweet kind attentive so I'm sure it would be great on a normal day. Food 3.5/5 Here was where there was room for some improvement but I'm telling you I would still so go back to give it a shot on a non crazy busy day. We did have a limited menu for Valentine's Day still great options. We had the ceviche was my husbands favorite tasted very good and fresh. Dumplings which were supposed to be to be lechon but they didn't have any left so it was a mixed fish dumpling still good but wouldn't get it again specifically but I would opt to try the lechon one if it's available next time I go. Maripositas chinas was the slow roasted lechon with guava sauce that was my favorite! The guava sauce totally took it to the next level and a perfect temperature. Chino Latino rice that was sooooo delicious it also had pieces of maduro in it so hell yes! This could have been a little warmer but still delish and would get again. Last we got the churrasco steak but that was unfortunately not hot. I'll just sum that out to the hectic day being valentines but overall I look forward to going back again!

Nothing like enjoying my bday weekend with friends at my fave live jazz bar in this area of Miami!…read moreWe called in on Saturday night and got a nice comfy half booth in the live music room right away. The room is so cool, staff is relaxed, cool and inviting. Tonight Ollie is onstage playing guitar, singing and taking all our favorite requests! We all sing along and have a great night of good food, good music, good drinks and great company of other live music enthusiasts! They have a fresh fish case stocked with great stuff including stone crab--The food is terrific! From my favorite raw bar starters, fish soup, sushi, whole fish, protein bowls, steak/chicken, kids choices, and the like. Menu is huge, something for everyone. The complimentary starter is fish dip and saltines. It Definitely sets the fish house mood! I love the decor--so jazzy, so mardi gras, so eclectic kitsch. It's just a relaxed fun time right on Miller Drive. Feels almost like a speakeasy! Aahhh, Miami--so chock full of these little unsung spots that you must be a local to know the secrets! All the fun is inside here. Check it out, it's all good at the Fish House. Thanks for following me, happy 2026! ~Tami in Miami
