Leslye is great and can get all of our haircuts done quickly, which helps with our busy schedule. They're usually super busy, and it's just walk-in, so sometimes you have to wait. This was once a place I felt confident about bringing my two year for a haircut (and on occasion a trim for myself). Went in today and the ladies that I usually come to weren't in. I didn't have to wait long, sat in the chair and the person cutting my hair asked what I would like. With the haircut in progress (clippers already at work) I can already hear that she is using clippers which aren't getting properly maintained as they should. Immediately after I recognize the scary sound of unkempt clippers, the clippers start binding and pulling my hair. A good barber or hairstylist would've stopped, at least made an attempt to adjust and re-clean the blades, apologize and then continue. Not this lady. She just kept on going snagging my hair in the clippers multiple times. As she reads the discontent on my face, I begin to look at her work station and everything is cover in hair clippings from what looks like every customer she's seen over the past two weeks. I then look at the two plastic containers full of brushes and combs located at the bottom of the mirror. I see that one is labeled dirty and the other is labeled clean. Looking at the container labeled "CLEAN", where she pulled the comb from, which at the moment is be used on my head and I see that it too is filled with hair from previous customers. Elena is my new best friend (and new Filipina Tita). I have paid a pretty price over the years getting my haircut and for $17 Elena perfectly executed the look I was going for. I have really long damaged thin hair and wanted short layers (I was going for a super layered early 2000s look) and was worried how it would come out but I am beyond satisfied. I will def be coming here from now on. I went home and did a quick curl so I could see the layers a little more (see pics). She also did a great job with my 6 year old sons hair. I came in on September 13,2021 around 6pm for a hair trim with Alma but she wasn't in for that day. So I settled to the hair dresser named LESLIE. Before the nightmare happened, I showed her a photo of the hairstyle that I wanted to be done, and instructed her that I'd like to keep my hair length and if possible just to cut 2inches of my hair, but she is too busy cutting me off and acting she knew what I want, she kept on yanking the capesalon that she put around my neck. In about 15minutes she was done, she chopped 4-5 inches of my hair. My hair was all the way to my "lower back waist" and it end up around my "bra line/mid back". I was upset and wanted to cry. Because it took me months to grow my hair to have that length. I asked her what she have done to my hair? Why'd she cut it really short and out of style? SHE DENIED THAT SHE MESSED UP MY HAIR ! SHE OFFERED TO CUT MORE BUT I REFUSED! She was being cocky, rude and NON APOLOGETIC for her mistake!!!  I wasn't happy with the service and the behavior of your employee. I'M hoping that she'll get a disciplinary action. What she did was unacceptable!!! I'm very disappointed. If I could give her a zero star. I will do it !!!! The stylist was extremely friendly but when a customer specifically says "no more than 2 inches off the length" you mean it. Unfortunately 14 inches...yes 14 inches...was cut off my length. I also asked for a specific cut by name and it's nowhere close. Every cut that I watched her make was an inch to 2 inches. I was absolutely shocked when I walked out. I've been to this salon many times. And I've never been so disappointed with a salon. 14 inches. My hair barely reaches the top of my bra strap now. been here many times with my kids , it would get a 5 star for the staff and quick efficient haircuts at a reasonable price However , I knocked off 3 stars due to the owner , she actually walked up behind my kid while he was getting a haircut and started to criticize his choice of haircut , when I loudly protested her saying this to my kid and explained it isn't helpful to make him self conscious while in the middle of his haircut {not like we can glue it back on } she just kept saying it over and over ? I used to have long, healthy hair and she butchered it really short to the point I almost look bald - I even specify that I wanted an undercut, but I couldn't even style it because it was so dang short like a military cut. I couldn't even see the progress because she didn't want my glasses on. She didn't ask questions how I'd like certain part of my hair done at all and she don't even care. Great spot for a quick haircut! We went on a late Saturday afternoon with our 1yo for a haircut. We were seen right away and the stylist was very friendly and patient with our wriggly kiddo! Tita cut my hair on my first visit there and she was great. Unfortunately, she was busy this time so I asked the blond lady to cut it. Didn't quite like how it was cut and today, 3 weeks later, when I went to another salon, this stylist showed me the butchering I rec'd. Lopsided and uneven. It was terrible. Had to cut it very short to even it out . You have been warned. Maybe she's better with other hair styles, but a simple layered cut for men is NOT her forte!! read more
